Monsters Are Coming-Chapter 1134 - 303: Rule Demon Seed, I Grant You Destruction
Ah Luo's roar turned into a desperate wail, powerless to change anything.
With eyes about to split, he watched helplessly as Ah Rou was pressed onto the execution platform by the guards, the Executioner raised the giant Chopper shaped like a crescent moon.
"For the glory and purity of Black Rock City." The priest's voice coldly pronounced the final verdict.
The Sword's light fell.
Time seemed to freeze at that moment.
Ah Luo saw the despair and bewilderment in Ah Rou's eyes.
Finally, the light in her eyes dissipated.
The small head separated from the body, rolled to the ground, covered in dust and bloodstains.
It rolled over a few times, eventually stopping in front of Ah Luo's desperately outstretched fingers.
Empty eyes, staring directly at him, frozen with the bewilderment and fear of life's final moment, as if asking him:
"Brother... why?"
The hope he thought was within reach collapsed suddenly in Ah Luo's inner world.
The sneer of the guards, the priest's verdict, his own heartbeat... everything disappeared.
In front of him were only Ah Rou's lifeless eyes, staring at him intently.
The scalding blood in his body seemed to be drained instantly, replaced by a piercing cold that flooded every limb and bone.
He stopped crawling and roaring, frozen in place like a clay puppet whose soul had been instantly extracted, his empty eyes staring straight at his sister's head. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The priest slowly walked to the thoroughly stiffened Ah Luo, looking down at him condescendingly.
A thread of extremely hypocritical "compassion" appeared on the pale face.
"Pitiful and pathetic worm."
The priest's voice, like a snake's hiss, penetrated Ah Luo's deathly silent consciousness:
"This is the price of the Desecrator, and your ability to continue living is all due to the City Lord's mercy."
The priest leaned down, his voice lowered further, mocking:
"The offspring of the guilty, I know it was your sister who stole the pill, the value of that pill far exceeds your worthless life."
With that, he straightened up, regaining his cold demeanor:
"By the way, haven't you always been diligent? Then you send your sister off yourself, send her and your other trash to where they're supposed to go, that's their final worth."
The priest finished speaking and no longer looked at Ah Luo.
As if dealing with a trivial matter, he turned and walked away.
The guards sneered as they approached, tossing a basket heavy with blood and decay beside Ah Luo:
"Waste, hear what the priest said? Put your sister in and these." He pointed with an iron rod toward the corner of the execution field, piled with limbs left from previous executions:
"Pack them up, send them to the Demon Cave, hurry up!"
Ah Luo's body moved, he struggled to shift toward Ah Rou's remains.
He reached out a trembling hand, struggled to lift the still-warm small body, and carefully placed it in the basket.
Then he slowly moved towards that head.
Like holding a fragile treasure, he carefully placed it into the basket.
Then, like a puppet programmed with instructions, he began to mechanically follow orders as usual.
Dragging a severed leg, he crawled painfully to the corner of the execution field, picking up the scattered limbs, throwing them into the huge basket one by one.
The guards impatiently urged and cursed, the iron rod occasionally fell on him, but he did not react, only numbly repeating the action.
The basket was filled up.
Cold limbs mixed with Ah Rou's small remains stacked together.
The guards threw a coarse hemp rope in front of him:
"Carry it, drag it to the entrance of the Demon Cave, don't think about slacking off."
Ah Luo silently looped the hemp rope over his shoulders, pressing into decaying flesh.
He hunched his back, using all his remaining strength, dragging the immensely heavy basket.
Each step, the severed leg brought piercing pain, the rope on his shoulder seemed to cut into the bone.
The basket dragged on the ground, making a rough scraping sound, dark red viscous liquid seeping from the bottom leaving a trail of blood leading to Hell.
Passing through the downward-sloping passage, scorching airflow mixed with the stench of blood and scorched flesh, and medicine aroma.
The smell of death grew increasingly intense.
At the end of the passage was a huge, deep dark red entrance.
This was the entrance to the Demon Cave.
The guards pointed to the bottomless opening:
"There it is, waste, push the basket down."
Ah Luo stood at the edge of the opening, hot airflow blowing against his ragged clothes and emaciated hair.
He looked down one last time at his sister in the basket, no emotion of sadness, anger, or fear was in his eyes.
Only deathly silence.
He removed the rope from his shoulder.
With his life's last ounce of strength, he pushed the basket, which carried his only concern in this world and all the world's darkness and despair.
The basket tilted, rolled, and fell towards the Abyss that devours all Life.
Ah Rou's small remains and other cold limbs mingled together, quickly shrinking, blurring in the dark red light, eventually disappearing into the swirling, boiling flesh Melting Furnace deep below, becoming the nutrients for the City Lord to gain Strength.
Ah Luo stood at the entrance, watching the place where his sister completely disappeared.
The hot wind, like the tongue of Hell, licked his exposed skin.
The roaring sound of the Melting Furnace below was like countless Vengeful Souls crying silently.
The last trace of warmth in his heart, along with all the meaning of his existence, had been pushed into this Abyss of Destruction by his own hands.
His inner world became deathly silent.
The roar of the Demon Cave's Melting Furnace, and the heartbeat's sound became barely audible.
