Moonquest: A Journey To The Stars-Chapter 69: SCREEECH!: All Hell Breaks Loose!
Chapter 69 - SCREEECH!: All Hell Breaks Loose!
Heaving deeply, Durmast wiped his battle axe, edges nicked from the intense fighting. Clutching the remnants of the handle, he hoisted up the blade, clenching it tighter in the face of the unrelenting army. Despite blood leaking from the side of his lips, he still grinned, enjoying the chaotic battle.
"Hah! Is that all you've got, you bunch of insufferable furcoats!?"
Before him lay the tired body of a Rabbitos, her bountiful chest heaving up and down, making it very troublesome for Durmast to concentrate on his battle. Her luscious red lips trembled in pain as the wounds on her arms and stomach bled heavily. Sweat caked her blue hair, sticking it to her forehead. Shit, how long does it take for that damn ball to fucking activa-?!

Just then, a large boom sounded far behind them, culminating in the fall of a large tower on top of the streets amidst the already chaotic situation. Durmast's eyes widened in fear, for the unthinkable had happened...
The dungeon had collapsed

Dashing down the streets, Lewis had separated from the group, followed by a very belligerent Dwarf. "Why the fuck did you leave me!? I thought we were friends!?"
Ignoring the pissed off dwarf, Lewis continued rrelaoding his Gatling Crossbow Mk II (Now fitted with proto-thermal imaging). Slinging back the crossbow, he replied to Simon while keeping his gaze focused forwards, "We don't have time. Most of the city's been submerged underneath the ravaging horde. Civilian lives are at stake, and if we don't do something quickly, everything and everyone will be devoured to ashes..."
His voice still devoid of the warmth it once held, Lewis robotically answered the young Dwarf's burning question. "Still, at least make sure that you don't go alone, you suicidal maniac! Just cause you were rejected by that (hot) Succubus, doesn't mean-"
"Shut Up!"
His eyes growing a shade darker, Lewis began to berate the ignorant Dwarf on subjects that he should not meddle in. "You should not have spo-"

The Citadel now gone, a large, dark maw was all that remained. Those who were still alive from the initial explosion inched closer, curious to see what existed in the hole, their heads peering closer to the ravine.
But this turned out to be their undoing...
Scratches were heard coming from the bottom of the deep hole, and before anyone could realise it, a bright green beam flew out, vapourising an unlucky tier-5 Catkin Archer.
"Aaaaahhhhh!"
No one knew who, but after the first scream of fear, all the surrounding people, whether they be Adventurers, civilians, or Demons, all began running away from the hole.
But it was too late...
A dark skeletal hand, covered in Mechadermys, clung onto the edge. Within seconds, more and more hands emerged, some covered in wires, some morphing every few seconds in a fluid manner, while some were just large metal claws with tubes snaking every corner of the appendage.
"It's the End Of The World!"

Eldruis heaved with fatigue, with his opponent, a tier-6 Succubus Charmomancer, hovering in the air. "Awww, what's gotten into my little pookie-kin? Succubus got your dick?"
Clicking his tongue in exasperation, Eldruis leaned onto his staff, transforming back partially into a Terrabuck. Using his spring-loaded legs, he leapt into the air, barely missing Sexulia, who dodged with ease despite being inches away from being grazed. "Ahahahah! What a sore loser..."
Spitting the blood from his mouth, Eldruis, not to be outdone, taunted back in response. "Unlike a certain slut, I don't-"
""Aaaahhhh!""
At the first scream of terror, Eldruis's pupils shrank. He could tell that something bad was happening, and that it was big. Her grin stretching ear to ear, Sexulia turned back on Eldruis, heading straight to where the dungeon had collapsed. "Buh-bye, have a great time!"
Eldruis wished he could chase after her, but he knew better. Damn it! We must ensure that whatever she has cooked never succeeds!
Praying for someone, anyone, to stop her, he bolted in the same direction, hoping that the casualties were not great...
