```
A pungent wind billowed violently, the air bursting with sound.
The Red-haired Demon charged furiously, landing a vicious strike toward Lian Nichang.
Lian Nichang's gaze sharpened.
This Human Demon was getting stronger and stronger!
Updat𝓮d from frёewebnoѵēl.com.
It was nearly reaching its limits.
The longsword in her hand emitted a clanging sword sound as she yelled out commandingly.
Her hand moved like lightning, the longsword creating afterimages in the void.
Lines of chilling Sword Qi transformed into a downpour of swords, directly bombarding the Red-haired Demon.
The Red-haired Demon bared its teeth, grinning fiercely, as a wisp of blood-red flame appeared on its millstone-sized fist.
As if blood was pulsating.
Amidst the roaring fist wind, as if hundreds of ghosts were wailing, it was soul-shaking.
The two collided in mid-air with an explosive crash.
"Boom"
The sword rain trembled with a buzzing sound.
After a deadlock moment, a mournful cry sounded.
Either shattering into pieces, bursting apart violently,
Or being blown back in the opposite direction.
The next second, the Demon's body, unstoppable like a bamboo through wind, smashed toward where Lian Nichang stood.
Lian Nichang's feet moved rapidly, retreating explosively.
The Sword Qi circled back, her heart intent followed her will, spinning and dancing around her delicate body.
Like countless Flying Flowers scattered across the sky.
However, the seemingly massive body of the Red-haired Demon was extremely fast, turning in pursuit.
Chasing Lian Nichang, it struck with a thunderous punch.
The crimson flames, like flesh-burrowing maggots, relentlessly pursued and bit.
Emanating a cold and brutally violent aura.
While Lian Nichang contended in retreat, her Green Peak continuously struck, countering the Demon's violent assault.
The swirling Sword Qi around her protected herself, annihilating the seemingly inescapable crimson flames.
The flames gave off a chilling, strange presence.
One look was enough to give a sense of the soul being frozen—a warning.
If touched, the result would certainly be dire.
It seemed to have transcended ordinary magic.
Similar to the Sword Intent she had comprehended.
One step further, and it would be Divine Skills.
This made her remain vigilant, daring not to make contact.
"Ding ding ding"
A series of metallic collision sounds, like wind and rainstorm between heaven and earth.
A man and a Demon, within moments, exchanged more than a dozen moves, neither yielding.
But those civilians hiding here suffered.
Panicked, they fled from their homes, only to find themselves surrounded by sinister-faced Demons in the darkness.
At the front door, a Human Demon with sharp bone spikes on its back, mantis-like claws for hands, and a bony tail, was clinging to the door's beam, crouching down.
One hand grabbed a panicking civilian trying to escape and, with a cruel slash of its claw, impaled the person.
Blood splattered everywhere,
Screams piercing the sky.
Hearing this made everyone's liver and gallbladder tremble with fear.
The fleeing crowd, now pale with terror, stopped in their tracks.
Then, a man with a scarred face grimly pushed an old man, who was terrified and retreating, forward with great force.
"Don't!"
The old man fell in front of the Demon, crying out in despair as he collapsed to the ground.
But the Demon didn't care,
Its claw, sharp as a knife, impaled the old man, lifting him.
And while seizing this brief opportunity,
The scar-faced man who had pushed the elder out bit his teeth and dashed towards the front door desperately.
He quickly fled through the front door.
His heart pounding wildly, a surge of guilty relief flooded his mind.
He knew one principle.
When facing danger, one must be faster and more ruthless than others.
Run!
Those Demons certainly wouldn't spare the remaining people to chase after him.
He ran toward the outside, into the curtain of rain.
But he didn't get far.
A sharp pain struck his wildly beating heart.
A bone tail with a barbed hook had suddenly penetrated his chest from behind.
The scar-faced man looked down in terror.
Blood refluxed into his throat, uttering a resentful gurgling sound.
The next second,
The bone tail violently pulled back,
The hook catching.
The man was instantly dragged back.
Turning into fodder for the Demon's mouth.
Now, everyone was utterly terror-stricken, screaming as they ran back.
Some, in a panic to save their lives, ran back inside and firmly shut the door behind them.
Their bodies trembled as they held the door closed.
And the other people who ran inside hesitated for a moment and then, as if possessed, made the same choice.
Because of this, quite a few were left locked outside, pounding on the door in a frenzy of anger and terror.
"Slap! Slap! Slap!"
"What are you doing?"
"Let us in."
"Mommy, help me, I'm so scared."
"..."
Amidst the turmoil, cries of anger and sobs erupted everywhere.
In the face of imminent danger, nothing is more terrifying than the human heart!
At this moment, the bone-spiked Demon's chilling gaze fell upon the desperate crowd pounding at the door, its body ready to move.
In preparation to hunt.
"Ah!"
The crowd locked outside the door cried and pounded on it while watching the Demon draw nearer.
Faces filled with despair!
In this critical moment, Lian Nichang on the rooftop entangled in combat with the Red-haired Demon, witnessed this scene.
With a heave of True Qi, her sword wailed with a piercing sound.
The sword light blazed brilliantly, the Sword Intent was bone-chillingly harsh, its edge fully exposed.
Forcing the Red-haired Demon back with sheer force.
Then, with a sudden leap, her sword light illuminated the long night.
Her stunning Red dress pierced through the bone-spiked Demon.
Cutting it down on the spot!
In the midst of the raging storm.
She stood outside the door, swung her sword downward, flinging off the stinking green blood, and looked up to stare at the demon shadows in the darkness.
"Very well, I'll see how long you can keep protecting them!"
The Red-haired Demon, from on high, scoffed with a laugh as grating as metal on metal, followed by an abrupt intensification.
Then came a demonic howl.
Instantly, a multitude of ferocious demon shadows poured into the courtyard.
There were eight of them, each one nearly at the Second Realm Great Success in strength.
Dressed in the tattered clothes of governmental officials.
They eyed the Red dress with a predator's eagerness.
The next second,
"Roar!"
The Human Demons, like shrapnel, surged forth violently toward the crowd.
And there, in the Red dress, her beautiful eyes remained ever so bright in the darkness,
Even when facing so many Human Demons.
She still swung her sword.
This was her path.
Ever forward, without retreat.
Her sword light slashed through the demon shadows.
The Red dress darted amongst them.
Like a flower blossoming amidst the wind and rain!
But, there were too many Demons.
One fell, another took its place.
Her Red dress was gradually soaked in blood.
And yet, she could not protect everyone.
Human Demons burst into the houses.
A chaotic slaughter ensued.
Screams filled the air.
Blood flowed from beneath the doors, mixing with the rainwater and staining the courtyard red.
At the same time,
A loud boom echoed.
The Red-haired Demon took the opportunity as Lian Nichang was embroiled in hard fighting to make a move.
A burst of violent Qi sent her, unable to fully muster her True Qi, flying.
Her Sword Qi dispersed, falling amongst the few remaining people.
And now the survivors, watching their only hope defeated, lost all hope in their eyes.
Some broke down in tears,
Others kneeled to beg for mercy.
Only a few people supported the bloodied Red dress.
The Red-haired Demon took steps forward, looking down at this group of ants.
He gave another glance to the stunning woman,
And sneered fiercely.
"Look, these are the people you're desperately trying to protect. Other than being useless and scared, what else can they do!"
With that, he growled lowly,
"Kill them all!"
With the command, the remaining Demons pounced on the crowd to continue the slaughter.
But suddenly, the wind and thunder changed drastically,
The night sky lit up as if it were daytime.
A Sword Qi rent the sky in two.
Then, a sudden shout resounded immensely through the heavens,
"Jingshan Martial Arts Hall's Wu Tian,"
"By the order of the great one,"
"Has come to slay Demons!"
"Slay!"
