Chapter 356: Collision Course.

The roots moved too fast. The swordsmen couldn’t run faster than the attack, so the wall of wooden spears smashed into the front line of the swordsmen. Many of them were torn into pieces immediately.

About twenty of them were killed by the single attack. The remaining managed to escape. Arthur saw this and felt like it was pity.

He thought to himself, "I wish I could control every part of the forest."

If he could control every part of the forest he created with his seeds, he would be able to fight all 65 of them with just one spell. Unfortunately, his mind isn’t powerful enough to do that.

If his mind were powerful enough, he would be able to transform the forest into many wood puppets to fight for him instead of creating one large wall of spears that can only move in one direction and can’t actively resist the attack of the swords individually.

He can still create the wooden puppets now, but he won’t be able to control all of them. So it will be a waste of energy to do so.

He sighed and said to Thor, "You’re up."

Thor nodded and ordered the golem to move.

Arthur was still entangling the swordsmen with his small forest. This simultaneously blocked their sight of what was going on with Thor and also let them focus their energy on Arthur alone.

The swordsmen were very angry about the death of so many of them. They let their anger fuel their attacks as they chopped at the forest.

They wanted to chop the forest to pieces as well as the person who created it, so they were focused on it. But even if they weren’t so focused on their goal of revenge, they still wouldn’t have seen the golem coming.

The forest parted quietly and let the golem pass through it. But to the swordsmen, the appearance of the golem wasn’t quiet at all. The grim appeared like thunder. The thunder shocked them before they suddenly lost consciousness.

The thunder was the sound of the sound barrier being broken. But for many of the swordsmen, they didn’t hear the thunder before they died. The golem was just that fast.

As for the ones who heard the thunder, they had the privilege of seeing their mates dying and had the option of escaping. Many of them took the option to escape, but very few managed to escape because of Arthur.

The golem was fast and powerful, but Thor’s mind wasn’t strong enough to control it properly. If he were fighting one enemy, he would be able to focus all of his limited mental prowess on that enemy and achieve something.

But there were too many enemies. He couldn’t split his attention to manage every enemy. The best he could do was make the golem rush forward in a direction with its arms spread wide.

The golem didn’t target a single person. It just plowed through the group of enemies and made them explode by smashing into them.

The visual impact of this move was high, but it limited its lethality.

The death of so many people by such a powerful golem made all of the remaining swordsmen run for their lives. They scattered in every direction. Seeing that the come wouldn’t be able to get everyone, Arthur decided to take action.

He activated the lightning armament. Then he used his enhanced speed to attack the edge of the spreading group of swordsmen. ƒгeewebnovёl_com

The golem served as a spear that pierced through the group and crushed everything in its path, while Arthur served as a hound that forced the group to maintain its shape.

He forced the group to stay together by killing those who tried to escape. He was so fast that he could go around the perimeter of the group in less than a second.

In order to avoid him, those who were escaping had to stop and even turn back. But behind them, there was only the golem and the death it brings.

Some of them became desperate and decided to attack him. But all of their efforts were in vain. A single attack from him could produce a power of 400 units. So he was crushing them.

What’s more, his armament also enhances his speed and physical defense. So the power of their swords could never harm him.

This is one of the advantages of armaments over swords. Even if a swordsman manages to reach the second stage of oneness with the sword and can double their attack, they would only be able to enhance the power of their sword.

A sword won’t enhance the swordsman. But an armament, on the other hand, enhances every aspect. This is an advantage of quality.

So whether inside or outside the group of swordsmen, there was no safety to be found. Arthur and Thor were able to use this method to grind the swordsmen to pieces after 30 seconds.

Thor only lasted 10 seconds, though. Arthur had to complete the rest.

Even though he didn’t last as long as Arthur, the strain of controlling the golem for so long made Thor become so nauseated that he vomited. Then he fainted.

He fainted during the fight. Roar had to stand over him to protect him.

After the fight was over, Arthur looked over at Thor and shook his head for a while. Then he looked at the golem vigilantly to make sure that it wouldn’t turn on him in the absence of its creator.

After making sure that the golem wouldn’t attack him, he got to work looting the corpses of their enemies. He didn’t open their space pouch because there were too many to sort through now.

Besides, he still had work to do clearing the corpses of the beasts that they had killed earlier. So he just kept the pouches in a carriage to be opened and sorted later.

Aside from the pouches, he also took some of the corpses. He didn’t take them to make divine lightning armaments. They would be mostly useless for that because none of them have lightning manipulation ability.
