Back to the present,

As I came down from the sparring stage, I said to beta Damien, "Beta Damien, I now understand why you decided to take on the role of training the werewolves. It’s because without your training and supervision, they will eventually slack off. I want you to make them stronger within a month. After a month is over, whether they like it or not, they will officially become warriors and be sent to the border to join the other warriors".

"Hmm". Beta Damien nodded at me, before he glared at the twenty werewolves, and they forced their bruised bodies to get up from the floor.

I looked at the sparring stage and saw the way the twenty werewolves were gloomy.

They must be extremely ashamed of themselves. After beating the heck out of them, no one needed to tell them that I was right about them slacking off. After experiencing this great humiliation, I know they will train harder.

I watched the twenty werewolves shift into their human forms and left the sparring stage. Each one of them walked towards the massive-sized treadmills.

They switched it on, shifted into their wolf forms and climbed on the treadmills.

I heard them growling and groaning as they ran on the treadmills.

Beta Damien walked towards them and began to supervise them. He didn’t allow any of the werewolves to stop running.

’I don’t pity them, Clara. Do they think they can even kill a single hybrid beast with how weak they are? You should have taught them a lesson bigger than bruising their bodies’.

’Let them be, Elektra. I believe they will train harder this time around’. I said to her, and as I started to leave, Delta Madeline came to me.

I sensed her presence and some other presence a few moments ago, but I wasn’t in the mood to look in their direction.

I was on my way to find Anders and recruit him. Whether he likes it or not, I see a lot of potential in him. He must train under me and fight alongside me on the battlefield.

Now that Delta Madeline had come to me, l decided to hear what she had to say to me.

"Alpha Anastasia". She bowed before me and lifted her head.

She waved a hand at the five werewolves who were standing not that far from us, and they immediately came and presented themselves to me.

"What are you guys waiting for? Greet Alpha Anastasia". Delta Madeline raised her voice as she looked at the five werewolves who were looking at me as if they were lost and were shocked to be standing before me.

"Greetings, Alpha Anastasia, I am August".

"Greetings, Alpha Anastasia, I am Oliver".

"Greetings, Alpha Anastasia, I am Kiara".

"Greetings, Alpha Anastasia, I am Sebastian".

"Gre- Greetings, Alpha Anastasia! I- I- I am Astrid! I heard that you have gotten stronger than Alpha Elektra, your wolf! Your presence and aura are now stronger than your wolf’s. That is what everyone is saying. The news is all over the city!".

Their right hands were on their left chest as they greeted and bowed before me, before lifting their heads.

I saw Delta Madeline slap Astrid’s shoulder.

Exactly. What the heck is wrong with this Astrid? Why did she say all that? And why does her face look red like tomatoes?

"Alpha Anastasia, these are the werewolves Darcy and I were able to recruit yesterday. We are sorry for failing you, my Alpha. I will work even harder and recruit more werewolves".

"You did well, Delta. But, I will take care of the rest myself. By the end of today, if I am not able to recruit over a hundred young talented werewolves, just know that I am not worthy of being the shadows’ pack Alpha". I told her.

I added, "With the increase of hybrid creatures and wild beasts, we need many warriors. Our shadows’ pack has over twenty thousand civilians. I must make, at least, ten thousand of them to become warriors. As for these five, August, Oliver, Kiara, Sebastian and Astrid... take them to the registration office to register. If you are done doing that, I permit you to take them to Beta Damien, so that he will train them too. I will visit the training field frequently. When the training period is over and everyone is made warriors, they will be taken to the border where all the warriors will spar against each other. I will select only the five strongest warriors and give them a special position next to me". I declared, before I left the training field.

On the way, I thought to myself, ’The shadows’ pack has a lot of werewolves. No wonder Beta Damien told me that we are the largest pack among the other packs. But, how is it possible that none of them spill out or post on the internet that the chosen child has been born into the world? Into the shadows’ pack. And that I, Alpha Anastasia, is the chosen child of the moon goddess? How does any of that make sense?’.

’Hahaha’. Elektra chuckled, stealing my attention.

"What?". I asked her.

’You might not be aware of this, but I am. Our shadows’ pack is very cooperative when it comes to keeping very important secrets. It’s in their blood. But they are also experts at making news, especially rumors, to spread throughout the entire city and outside the city within a very short amount of time’.

I was amazed by what Elektra told me.

Funny. If it were my dear humans, they would have betrayed me without blinking an eye.

I covered my hair with the hoodie’s cap and began to search for Anders.

If he was near me, I would be able to tell his location because I know his presence and aura.

Though, yesterday, I had no idea who was in control of the body.

So, my search for him might end up being tricky if his presence and aura change. But it wouldn’t be that tricky if I saw his face.

Since I had begun my search for Anders, I chose to search for him in the place I first saw him.

If I couldn’t find him there, I would simply ask some of the werewolves about him.

Surely, one of them must be able to tell me something about him and where he lives.
