Mr Bodyguard, Protect Your Heart!-Chapter 185: WHAT MUST HAVE GONE WRONG?!

"Hein?" Gavi’s face twisting in confusion as he heard Dante say that his mommy was ignoring him. And that was the reason why he was looking like his spirit was getting tainted by some ghost. Gavi stared at Dante for a couple more seconds, before he giggled finding it funny. Here he was wondering if there was some major crisis happening in that large- large company of his, that he had pushed to the side to play bodyguard with them.

But the matter is that, he is worried like this, because his mommy was ignoring him! Hihihi~

Though, inwardly the little guy also nodded in satisfaction, as there was no other way anyone must react, other than like the world was falling apart, if his mommy was ignoring them, but Gavi still found it funny. And while the little chipmunk covered his mouth and giggled, his eyes fell on Dante who was giving him a death glare, and he instantly sucked it up, and the giggles vanished.

Clearing his throat, Gavi said, "If my mommy is ignoring you, then let me tell you Uncle Dante, that you must have earned it yourself."

"..." Dante pressed his lips together, and for a good moment he was contemplating his life choices. The first being, why did he even tell this little guy about it! Well, perhaps to get some advice, but clearing nothing of that sort was happening so.

Dante pinched the centre of his eyebrow and sighed, and then said, "But the confusing part, was that she is not ignoring me at the same time." "..." And this time, it was Gavi’s turn to have nothing to say. Well, because what kind of riddle was Uncle Dante sprouting. Gavi, for a moment there, was really getting concerned about Dante’s mental state.

"What do you mean?" the little boy asked. As he really wanted to help, only if Uncle Dante wasn’t in the wrong, of course. After that, Dante explained in short, how Dove was suddenly acting a little distant with him, while not completely ignoring him. And how he was feeling that something was off, while nothing looked wrong apparently. Dante asked Gavi, if some thing was going on with Dove that was bothering her, that he did not know about.

To which, Gavi shook his head in negative and answered that he did not know of such a thing. Dante nodded, as if there was really such thing, then he would already know about it. Only if he could also read what was going on in her mind and heart.

Gavi on the other hand rubbed his chin in like an old man, and said, "Hmm, let me think. Did my mommy and you have a fight?" Hearing this, Dante was not even a heart beat late to deny it. "No! In fact, we were so nicely bonding with each other as friends and even ended our conversation in a very good note the day before she started all this."

Gavi listened to him, but a small frown settled on his forehead, not liking how the phrase, ’she started all this’ was said by him. It sounded as if it was his mommy’s fault. But for the sake of this poor man’s condition, he decided not to pursue it further for now.

Gavi nodded, as he had also noticed how well his mommy got along with Uncle Dante. And it was definitely in a very different way than how she interacted with others, and that was the only reason why he had given his consent for him to pursue his mommy.

Gavi rubbed his chin again and said, "Then, did he outrightly say that she wants to maintain a distance from you, or that you don’t talk to her?" To which, again Dante shook his head in negative. And this put Gavi in serious contemplation. Because his mommy was a very straight forward woman. And if she does not like something, than she will say it straight rather than creating suspense around.

The father and son duo racked their brains for a good while, but unable to come to a final answer. Dante felt like having an existential crisis. After so long of waiting, of having his desires to get closer to her put on hold, after admiring and loving her for afar, now when he was finally getting closer to her, that they were getting to know each other, did she pull herself away from him, before their love even had the chance to bloom fully!? Wasn’t this unfair to him?!

Finally, after the father son duo had successfully exhausted every working brain cell, Gavi finally threw his hands in the air, and huffed, "Well, so now that we aren’t able to understand really what did you do wrong. So, let’s just believe that there is some miscommunication between you guys, and the sole culprit is you. Maybe, you spoke of something, that did not sit well with my mommy. So lastly, my only advice to you is, please make amends with whatever is wrong, otherwise, it is very sad to say that I will have to change my preferences according to my mommy’s choice. I am really sorry, Uncle Dante. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Dante looked at the little guy, utterly speechless. He had just shared his trouble with him, and his mother had not even given him a final verdict, yet this little guy was already ready to give him up?!

Was he any less depressed that Gavi had to throw him into the pits of mental hell? Was this how he was going to give up on his father?! With no more effort?! But alas! He could only fume and grieve in his heart, while the little boy looked at him with his face looking innocent. But his resolve? Absolute!

Sighing, Dante could only make up his mind to get to know what was bothering Dove. Because as much as he thought about what Gavi said right now, it must be most probably the case of miscommunication. But what could he have said wrong?!
