Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback-Chapter 333: How Dare You Insult Mommy
Chapter 333: Chapter 333: How Dare You Insult Mommy
Camille started to struggle, but Benjamin leaned closer and whispered in her ear, "Be a good girl, Ms. Nelsen. You wouldn’t want Grandfather to find out what you did back in that village."
Her face went pale. Her body went weak, and the bodyguard dragged her away.
Benjamin wasn’t the timid boy she once pushed around. Now, he was like a young wolf who had learned to show his teeth.
Why had he changed? Why was everyone around her changing?
Benjamin watched calmly as the bodyguard helped Camille into the car. Then he took out his phone and dialed a number.
His voice was as light and gentle as always. "Mr. Nelsen, Ms. Nelsen is in the car now."
"Good job. Make sure someone keeps an eye on her at all times. I don’t want her causing any trouble."
"Yes, Mr. Nelsen." Benjamin ended the call, pleased to be praised by Rowan again.
He had always put up with Camille’s bullying because she was Rowan’s sister. But now that he knew she might not be related to him at all, there was no reason to endure it anymore.
That thought alone made him feel great.
In the ward, Chantelle was peeling an apple for Oscar. She cut it into small pieces and said, "I don’t know how to thank you for saving my life... so here’s an apple for now."
"The apple must be really sweet then," Oscar said as he picked up a piece with a toothpick. His fingers trembled as he brought it to his mouth.
Thea tried to grab a piece too, but the bandages on her arms were thick, making it hard to reach her mouth.
"Let me help you, Auntie Thea," Kane said, picking up another slice and gently feeding it to her.
Thea smiled as she took a bite. "Now that’s how you treat someone who’s injured."
She chuckled and gave Chantelle a playful wink, clearly hinting that she should do the same for Oscar.
Chantelle shot her a glare and chose to ignore her.
Oscar looked like he didn’t want to be fed. He quickly stuffed a few more pieces into his mouth and said, "I’m full."
Chantelle couldn’t help but laugh.
Kane took a close-up of the apple slices and then snapped a photo of Chantelle laughing while looking at Oscar. He sent both pictures to Daniel.
Daniel nearly had a heart attack when he saw them.
"Daddy, if this keeps going, Mommy might really end up with someone else," Stephanie said, a little anxious. "Why don’t we do something bolder?"
Daniel stared at Stephanie, trying to figure out what was going on in her head.
He started to wonder if the entertainment world was really the right place for her.
She’s too young to be thinking like this.
"Daddy, how about ’Swimming Trunk Temptation’ as the next theme?" Stephanie asked, showing him a photo she found online of a male model wearing only a swimming trunk.
She’d seen her manager get excited over pictures like that, so she thought it might be a good idea.
Daniel grabbed her phone and scolded her. "Where did you learn this nonsense?"
"What’s wrong with it? You’re overreacting, Daddy. He’s not even naked," Stephanie said. "I’ve been to a few swimsuit shoots too."
She honestly didn’t know what made a man attractive, other than having six-pack abs.
"Steph, I really don’t think the entertainment industry is right for a little girl like you," Daniel quickly argued. "Why did your mommy even let you join the entertainment world in the first place?"
One of the Wilson Group Of Companies subsidiaries was a film production company, so Daniel had some insight into how the entertainment industry worked.
Most companies in the industry didn’t have a clean reputation. Daniel couldn’t stand the idea of his daughter working in an environment like that.
"How dare you insult Mommy!" Stephanie shouted. She stood up, pushed Daniel aside, ran to her room, and slammed the door behind her.
Stephanie sulked in her room for a while before finally opening the door and peeking out.
"Daddy, are you done with the video?" she asked. freёweɓnovel_com
When Daniel nodded, she skipped over and looked at the playback on his phone.
"Daddy, you’re such a horrible actor," Stephanie said, frowning as she pointed at his blank face on the screen.
Daniel chuckled. He never thought he’d be taking love advice from his kids.
He sent the video to their private group chat called "Operation Mommy Love," which included him, Stephanie, Kane, and Rai.
The other kids reacted the same way.
"Why the long face, Daddy? You look horrible," Kane said.
"It doesn’t feel real at all," Rai added.
"I think you should reshoot. Try a better angle," Kane suggested.
"Yeah. Put more emotion into it," Rai agreed.
Daniel turned to Stephanie quickly. She just shrugged her shoulders. "I’m fine with reshooting. I usually nail my scenes in one take, but I don’t mind helping you out if you’re a slow learner."
Daniel didn’t even get the chance to defend himself after being called a slow learner. Stephanie had already started coaching him on how to put emotion into his lines.
After repeating the lines around twenty times, Stephanie finally said it was passable, though clearly not impressed.
Relieved, Daniel sent the video to Philip.
Philip then forwarded it to Kane. The moment Kane got it, he waved his phone dramatically and squeezed himself between Chantelle and Oscar.
"Mommy! Mommy! Daddy’s bullying Steph!" he shouted.
"Kane, where are your manners?" Chantelle scolded him and gave him a sharp look.
Kane quickly put on an innocent face and looked at Oscar. "I’m sorry, Mr. Nelsen Number Two. I didn’t mean to interrupt your talk with Mommy. But I saw Daddy scolding my sister, and I got really worried about her."
Why was Mommy so serious? She was messing up my plan.
"Pfft! What did you just call him? Mr. Nelsen Number Two?" Thea had been drinking water and nearly choked from laughing.
"It’s okay. Don’t let me hold you back if you’ve got other things to do. When I’m feeling better, let’s spar again," Oscar said, giving a small wave with his casted arm. The first part was for everyone in the room, but the last words were clearly meant for Chantelle.
He wasn’t upset with Kane. He knew the boy just wanted his mom and dad to make up again. And honestly, Kane was only five, it was natural for him to get restless after sitting in the ward for so long.
"I’ll cook something nutritious for you tomorrow," Chantelle said softly to Oscar as she stood up.
Oscar nodded, but before he could respond, Thea jumped in. "Cook some for me too!"
"You don’t have to tell me that," Chantelle replied with a grin, giving Thea’s nose a playful pinch.
