Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud-Chapter 338 - 222: Strange Relationship (Part 2)
Maeve Lane looked at Autumn Lowe, and the latter nodded with a smile.
"This is Lucas Shaw, who plays Ruby Reed’s father, and this is Wyatt Nash, playing Zion Sawyer, lastly, this is Nicole Keller, who plays Yvonne Chaucer."
After Director Osborne introduced them, the group cheerfully said, "Today we can be considered ’family reunited.’"
Director Osborne stepped forward and placed a hand on Wyatt Nash’s shoulder, smiling, "There’s one more, you also have a son, Ruby Reed’s brother Lynn Reed, Zane Payne this kid hasn’t arrived yet."
"Oh, almost forgot."
"Haha, getting forgetful, aren’t you?"
"..."
Everyone teased and Maeve Lane slightly curled her lips.
The atmosphere of this crew made her feel exceptionally good, Mrs. Roland’s strict actor selection was proving to be effective.
After chatting for a bit, they agreed to find a place nearby for breakfast, Maeve Lane had already eaten so she did not join them.
She randomly found a place to wait for Sarah Sutton to arrive.
"Maeve Lane, good morning."
A gentle voice sounded, Maeve Lane half-raised her eyes, looking against the light towards the person coming.
It was Mila Miller.
"You..." Maeve Lane was puzzled, "Weren’t you eliminated?"
Mila Miller’s agent was carrying a suitcase, followed by two assistants, upon hearing Maeve Lane, her agent said, "Mila didn’t get the lead female role, but she got the second female lead."
The second female lead is the protagonist’s high school best friend.
With Mila Miller’s delicate and pure look, and a hint of baby fat on her face, if dressed appropriately, indeed resembles a high school student.
But she surprisingly was willing to play the second lead, Sarah Sutton said she has almost always been the lead in films or TV shows.
"So that’s how it is." Maeve Lane simply said, "Then please take good care of me from now on."
"Please take good care, Maeve... sister."
Mila Miller’s unexpected way of addressing left Maeve Lane and the others present taken aback.
"Just call me Maeve Lane."
"Sorry for being presumptuous, Maeve Lane, you’re only a few months older than me." Mila Miller apologized with a smile.
Maeve Lane raised an eyebrow and asked, "How do you know I’m a few months older than you?"
Mila Miller looked stunned for a moment, "It’s written on your Baidu Encyclopedia, I specifically checked before coming."
Although Maeve Lane found her expression a bit puzzling, she didn’t directly ask.
"Okay."
"You guys help me get the luggage inside, I’ll chat with Maeve Lane." Mila Miller stuck out her tongue at the group, looking quite like a young girl.
Her assistants and agent nodded, pulling the luggage away to find a spot.
"Is there something you want to say to me?" Maeve Lane observed the person before her, sensing she had something on her mind.
Like she wanted to ask Maeve Lane something.
Mila Miller smiled, just about to speak when her expression changed suddenly, mouth opening, breathing rapidly like a whistle with a broken sound, lips growing paler, she fell weakly backward.
Maeve Lane furrowed her brows, stepped forward to support her, "What’s wrong?"
"Medicine... medicine, it’s asthma." Mila Miller said intermittently, her face beginning to turn blue.
Maeve Lane quickly pulled a box of medicine from her pocket and fed it to her, "This medicine can only relieve, wait here for a moment, I’ll find someone to take you to the hospital."
Mila Miller still gasped heavily, looking uncomfortable, not responding to Maeve Lane.
Luckily the place Maeve Lane was resting wasn’t far from where the crew was stationed, she quickly made a call, there was a resident doctor on-site, immediately someone came to carry Mila Miller inside.
...
Mila Miller on the hospital bed still hadn’t awakened.
A few people gathered outside, all had heard the news and came to check on the situation.
"Mila fell ill while with you, did you say something to provoke her?!" Mila Miller’s agent glared angrily at Maeve Lane.
Maeve Lane replied flatly, "I told you I didn’t."
Sarah Sutton stood in front of Maeve Lane, looking her over, sneering, "Shouldn’t you be concerned about your artist? With such a loud voice are you trying to wake her and make her sick again?"
"Who are you cursing?!"
"You started it, also, do us a favor and get your facts straight, it’s my Maeve Lane who found someone to call for help for your Mila Miller, without Maeve Lane she might still be lying on the ground unable to move!"
"Pretending to be kind, I think it’s all your doing! Mila hasn’t had a flare-up in ages, Maeve Lane, are you so petty that you’re jealous just because Mila landed a second female lead role?!"
Sarah Sutton was amused by the anger, "Don’t bite the hand! Watch fewer rivalry dramas, we’re not like you with so many scheming thoughts!"
"Stop arguing, stop arguing." Director Osborne hurried over, "How’s Mila Miller?"
