Keane was lying on the ground playing with his toy cars. When he heard, he nodded with a smile, "I want to!"

After replying, a hint of confusion appeared on his innocent face, "By the way, Maeve, who’s that?"

Maeve Lane didn’t correct his way of calling her. Though she was a person of little patience, having given all of it to Julian Fairchild already, she was unexpectedly patient and tolerant with Keane.

"My mom."

"Great!" Keane blushed. He read in a book that you only take someone to meet your parents if you like them, so Maeve must like him to take him to meet her mother.

She looked at Keane, crouched down, and said, "Keane, I need to talk to these two big brothers and big sister for a bit. Can you go play outside for a while and not go too far, okay?"

Keane nodded like a pecking chick, sweetly saying, "Okay!"

Keane went to play by himself in the corridor.

Maeve Lane, seeing he couldn’t hear, put her hands in her pockets and said, "My mom often used to call the name ’Keane.’ I suspect it’s the Keane I brought."

Felix Forrest shrugged, smiling, "No need to be nervous. I’ll be watching from the side, and I’ll handle any unexpected situation."

Maeve Lane’s heart settled down, and she smiled, "Thank you, Doctor Forrest."

"You’re welcome."

Maeve Lane called Keane back, and Keane obediently returned, "Stay with this brother now, and don’t run around, okay?"

Maeve Lane lifted her eyelids, stood upright, and walked to Rosalyn Jennings’ room, knocking a few times before pushing the door open.

Rosalyn Jennings was still holding two stuffed animals in her arms as before.
