Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 429 - 428: No Regrets
"What nonsense are you talking about!"
With that, Renee Grant stood up first and demanded sharply.
This old woman has gone mad, not only wanting to divorce her father but also trying to stir up a rift between The Grant Family and The Sterling Family here.
Because of what The Matron Grant said, the old lady and Mr. Grant’s expressions turned sour.
"Apologize to Mrs. Sterling and Miss Sterling," Mr. Grant stepped forward with a steady voice, while The Matron Grant turned her head with a cold sneer, "I’m just speaking the truth."
"My son Ethan is outstanding, but he is already married and has a family."
"Is Miss Sterling so ugly or afflicted that she shamelessly clings to my son!"
Once a person has clarity, they won’t hesitate anymore.
Saying what needed to be said, The Matron Grant felt utterly relieved.
"And Mrs. Sterling, everyone praises your great upbringing," The Matron Grant continued to mock at the stiffly smiling Mrs. Sterling, "Is this your upbringing, teaching your daughter to interfere in someone else’s marriage?"
"Or do you, Mrs. Sterling, like to snatch others’ belongings yourself!"
These words were blurted out by The Matron Grant in a fit of rage. After saying them, Mrs. Sterling’s smile could no longer hold, and a trace of coldness appeared in her eyes.
The Mrs. Sterling before her was always too perfectly packaged by the outside world, and every time The Matron Grant saw that smiling face, she found it utterly uncomfortable.
"Enough," Mr. Grant spoke up. Seeing The Matron Grant speak so disrespectfully to Mrs. Sterling, he angrily prepared to raise his hand.
A man can be tolerated if there’s affection.
The Matron Grant had been compliant for years, and the end result was almost ruining her son’s happiness. So why endure now!
She did not give Mr. Grant the opportunity to slap her, "Rhys, I will arrange for a lawyer to come over tomorrow."
Divorce!
These two words were so liberating that The Matron Grant’s lips curled into a smile as she said them.
"I’m leaving now."
The Matron Grant said, dragging her suitcase towards the door.
"You stop right there," Mr. Grant chased after her, but he couldn’t catch up with The Matron Grant’s footsteps.
"Once you leave The Grant Family tonight, there’s no chance for regret in the future!"
He couldn’t believe that The Matron Grant would truly divorce him, wasn’t she afraid the whole of Solaria would laugh at them?
The Matron Grant slowed her steps, chuckled lightly, she wouldn’t regret it! 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
If she stayed in The Grant Family any longer, watching these people plot against her son and daughter-in-law every day, then she’d regret it!
"Goodbye!"
She said in a calm voice, and as she lifted her steps out of the main hall of the Grant residence, she glanced at the arriving guests and walked right out.
She was no longer Mrs. Grant, she didn’t need to help host the guests.
Besides, the guests were The Sterling Family! She was even less obliged!
Mr. Grant saw his wife really leave in front of The Sterling Family, both angry and panicked. He wanted to chase after her, but seeing Young Master Sterling at the door, and hearing Renee call "Dad" behind him, he ultimately didn’t step out.
"Mr. Grant!"
Wyatt Sterling was here on behalf of Mr. Sterling to take Mrs. Sterling and Miss Sterling back. When he arrived, Ethan Grant and Serena Sullivan’s car had just left, missing each other.
He hadn’t entered the main hall when he heard the things The Matron Grant had said, feeling very uneasy.
With his good manners, he still greeted Mr. Grant first.
"Young Master Sterling, please come in."
Mr. Grant worked hard to pull his gaze away from the departing Matron Grant and smiled as he spoke to Wyatt.
"Mom," Wyatt didn’t want to go inside, he spoke to Mrs. Sterling inside, "Dad has something to discuss with you, he wants you to come back with me!"
