Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 474 - 473: Corroding Bones and Devouring Hearts
Ethan Grant left, and Finn Chandler stopped touching the corpse’s legs to see if they were the same as Serena Sullivan’s. She stood up, smiled, "It’s not Serena, I’ve confirmed."
Despite her words, her hands were still trembling.
Is it, or isn’t it? She didn’t know either!
Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn’t!
"Is it really not Serena?"
Anna Morgan walked up to Finn Chandler and asked.
She looked at Finn Chandler seriously, with fear in her eyes.
Finn Chandler nodded and said earnestly, "Of course not."
"Serena, with her luck and fortune, how could she fall into the sea and end up like this."
It’s been four years, Serena survived four years, how could she be gone now!
The surgery hasn’t been done yet, Des Davis just called saying he found a doctor, and the chances of success would increase.
If that’s the case, how could the person lying there be Serena.
"Alright alright!"
Whether Finn Chandler’s words were true or false, Anna Morgan didn’t want to believe Serena was gone.
With Ethan Grant leaving, everyone else followed suit.
Mr. Sterling walked out from behind; he had been standing outside the villa, looking at the situation by the sea. When he heard someone had been pulled from the water, he quickly came over.
The closer he got, the more scared he became, and the more he didn’t dare to move, just standing a short distance away watching Ethan Grant and the others.
After Ethan Grant and his party boarded the yacht and left, Mr. Sterling slowly stepped forward.
It was already night, but the lamps on the beach made it as bright as daytime.
Mr. Sterling stood beside the corpse, looked down at the person resembling Serena Sullivan, feeling discomfort around his eyes.
"Take her back to the police station."
Mr. Sterling withdrew his gaze, speaking to the police.
The police agreed and carried the body away.
Mr. Sterling continued to stand in place, looking on, the sea breeze blowing over, chilling him to the bone.
"Sir!"
The butler called out from behind, Mr. Sterling responded with an "Mm", "Let’s go back."
He turned to walk forward but realized his feet wouldn’t move.
Trying to step forward, his mind suddenly recalled Serena’s pale face saying "Hate him"!
The pain was gut-wrenching and heart-devouring, he touched his chest trying to relieve it, unsure if it was because Ethan Grant had punched him, making him unable to move.
The feeling of heartache, he had felt too much over the years, thinking he had become numb.
Upon knowing Serena may have fallen into the sea, uncertain of her fate, and seeing the "person" being dragged up, his heart ached fiercely once more.
That is his daughter! His only daughter in this world, whom he caused to be lost!
If something happened to her, not only Ethan Grant but he himself would also be against The Sterling Family!
"Dad!"
A familiar voice came, Mr. Sterling looked up to see a man approaching.
The man noticed Mr. Sterling’s abnormal demeanor and quickened his pace.
The closer the person got, the clearer Mr. Sterling saw them, recognizing it was his son—Wyatt Sterling.
Twins, even if one is male and the other female, their appearances are very similar.
For so many years, he dared not keep his son by his side, dared not treat Wyatt well, just afraid this face would remind him of the daughter he abandoned.
Now...
He watched Wyatt come over, reaching out, wanting Wyatt to get to him quickly.
"Dad, what’s wrong?"
Wyatt received the news, leaving Mrs. Sterling and Felicity Sterling behind, and hurried over.
He then asked gently, "Did something happen to Serena?"
Then, he had many questions, how could Serena be on The Sterling Family’s island, and how did she get into trouble!
He turned his head and saw the police carrying someone past on a stretcher, causing a sudden painful feeling deep within.
Serena is truly gone?
