Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 477 - 476: Serena Is Alive
Before she could finish speaking, she felt a chill on her back and turned her head to see Ethan Grant staring at her darkly.
That gaze made her heart skip a beat.
"Serena’s not dead!"
Ethan replied coldly, as he walked straight through the living room to the dining table and poured himself a glass of hot water.
The surrounding air suddenly froze, as Mr. Grant, who had come over, stared at Ethan Grant. Ethan seemed no different from usual, but his heartbeat was intense, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was amiss!
When he arrived, the words he had prepared seemed lost for the moment. Ignoring the glare from The Dowager Grant, he slowly found a seat and sat down.
"Cough cough cough!"
The smoke dispersed, and The Dowager Grant deliberately pretended to choke on it. She turned her head towards Mr. Grant, hoping he would speak.
As Mr. Grant remained silent, she had no choice but to speak herself.
Even if she, in her eighties, said something wrong, surely Ethan wouldn’t lay a hand on her!
"Ethan, since she can’t be found, let it go."
To The Dowager Grant, not being able to find Serena was truly a blessing. She was distressed, not knowing how to make Ethan compromise.
This Serena comes from an unremarkable background, and she’s useless, incomparable to The Sterling Family’s heiress.
Brainwashed by Renee Grant, she was convinced that Miss Sterling was the best choice.
Seeing that Ethan, facing away from her, remained silent, The Dowager Grant sighed and continued ruefully, "In truth, Serena is also a pitiful person, so young, and yet she suffers so. Honestly, for her, dying is a relief."
Death would be her liberation, and she wouldn’t be able to stop Ethan from being with Miss Sterling, nor would she cause the Grant Family to splinter into bits.
"Mom," Mr. Grant thought of Ethan’s feelings for Serena and spoke softly, "Serena is just missing."
He couldn’t forget the look Ethan had given him earlier; he couldn’t truly drive his son to despair—his only son.
"She fell into the sea, her leg’s useless; how could she possibly be alive?" The Dowager Grant scornfully said.
With a "bang," Ethan’s cup slipped from his hand, shattering into glass shards that scattered everywhere.
He turned around, his already pale face now darkening further as he looked at his two blood relatives.
"Are you going to leave on your own, or do I throw you out?"
Ethan’s blunt words directly infuriated The Dowager Grant, her chest tightening and breath quickening, just shy of fainting.
"Look at your wonderful son!" The Dowager Grant was inwardly afraid of Ethan, so she could only speak to Mr. Grant.
"Ethan..." Mr. Grant, being a respectful son, frowned, displeased with Ethan’s attitude towards The Dowager Grant, and was about to reprimand him when he saw Ethan walking over, leaving him stunned.
With a "click" sound, Mr. Grant lowered his head, seeing more and more crimson deep in his eyes. Ethan was walking barefoot, stepping directly on the shards without flinching.
"Ethan." Mr. Grant called out frantically, wanting to ask if it hurt.
Ethan proceeded forward with a grim face, while the glass shards embedded deeper into his soles.
Indeed, he felt no pain, perhaps even deliberately stepping on the shards.
"Serena is not dead." He said again in a calm voice, as the smell of blood filled the living room, so overwhelming that everyone held their breath.
The Dowager Grant also felt anxious, increasingly feeling that her grandson was not quite right!
It’s just a woman; will he truly go mad for Serena?
