Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 538 - 537: Finn Chandler Is Back
Mrs. Chambers hadn’t had enough of scolding yet. Unless Serena Sullivan burst into tears and nodded in agreement, she wouldn’t stop.
Though she knew Serena was Finn Chandler’s longtime friend, she didn’t care, only seeking her own momentary satisfaction.
However, Serena didn’t cry as expected but instead stared back at Mrs. Chambers with a mocking face.
Mrs. Chambers was even more annoyed and walked toward Serena.
If you didn’t obey, she slapped. That was her attitude toward the servants of the Chambers Family for years.
In her view, Serena was Finn’s friend, a bastard from the Sterling Family, not worth currying favor.
Serena would definitely not let that slap come down. Even if the person was Finn’s biological mother, she wouldn’t stupidly let her hit.
Before the hand came down, Serena lifted the steaming hot water on the table and splashed it on her body.
The water just served by the waiter must be imagined to be scalding.
Mrs. Chambers didn’t expect someone sitting in a wheelchair would fight back. As she raised her hand again, Ethan Grant quickly rushed over from the restaurant entrance, grabbed Mrs. Chambers’ raised hand, and forcefully pushed her away.
Someone was hitting Serena, and Ethan was furious, using great force, causing Mrs. Chambers to crash backwards onto the adjacent table, feeling her old waist might have broken.
"How dare you hit me!"
Enduring the pain, Mrs. Chambers pointed at the suddenly appearing Ethan and shouted.
She didn’t recognize Ethan, nor did she know this man was Serena’s.
"Serena, are you alright?"
Ethan repeatedly inquired about Serena’s condition, and Serena shook her head, "I’m fine!"
If Ethan hadn’t appeared, she planned to spill the dishes on the table over.
Mrs. Chambers truly made her disgusted, and disregarding Finn’s face, she retaliated utterly.
"Mrs. Chambers."
Serena rolled her wheelchair forward, approaching Mrs. Chambers.
Mrs. Chambers wanted to make a move again, but with Ethan there, she only dared to boast verbally.
"You, Serena, dare strike me! If Finn comes, he won’t spare you."
All these years, Finn had delayed so much business for Serena, yet Serena made an unknown man strike her.
Serena responded to her question, indifferently introducing Ethan to Mrs. Chambers, "This is my husband."
"Ethan Grant from The Grant Corporation in Solaria."
Mrs. Chambers didn’t know the man before her was Ethan Grant, but after mingling in Imperial Capital’s high society for so many years, she knew who Ethan Grant was!
She had heard something about Ethan and Serena’s past and, like many others, felt Ethan would eventually leave Serena.
Now, hearing Serena solemnly introduce him as her husband, Mrs. Chambers was stunned.
"You’re truly formidable."
Ethan Grant didn’t leave her!
"Mrs. Chambers, for all these years, do you know what kind of life Finn has lived for your sake?"
"Things that can’t be forced shouldn’t be forced."
The restaurant was surrounded by guests; Serena spoke with subtlety, understood only by Mrs. Chambers.
Mrs. Chambers’ complexion changed, gritting her teeth, and cursed in a depressed voice, "Mind your own business!"
Just as she finished, Finn came back, first seeing Serena, then Mrs. Chambers and Ethan Grant, "Mom, why are you here?"
With confusion on her face, she walked over, Mrs. Chambers, seeing Finn return, felt her eyes swell, and her tears began to fall.
"Finn, you’re finally back. Your mother is being bullied to death."
Such words of crying and complaining; Serena remembered Zoe Quinn performed it the best. Unexpectedly, Mrs. Chambers could act so well too.
