MTL - 94 Diagon Alley-Chapter 204 Festival
Looking around, they and Hermione were both lying on the ground in the forest, as if no one else was there.
Harry first thought of the Forbidden Forest, and for a moment, knowing how stupid and dangerous the three of them were at Hogwarts, he thought of sneaking through the woods into Hagrid's cabin , his heart was still pounding with excitement. At this point Ron made a low noise, and Harry crawled towards him, and soon realized that this was not the Forbidden Forest: the trees looked younger, the spacing was wider, and the ground was more open.
He met Hermione next to Ron's head, and she was crawling. When he saw Ron, Harry forgot about it all, because Ron's left half was soaked in blood, and his face was ashen-white as he lay on the dirt and leaves. As the little blood on Ron's face faded, his hair turned red.
"What's wrong with him?"
"Split." Hermione said, her hands already busy touching Ron's sleeves, where the blood was the wettest and the darkest.
Harry watched in horror as she ripped Ron's shirt apart. He had always thought splitting was a funny thing, but this time... his internal organs stirred uncomfortably, and Hermione lifted Ron open. En's clothes exposed his upper arm, where a large piece of meat was missing, as if it had been gouged out by a knife...
"Harry, come on, in my bag, there's a small bottle that says White Fresh Essence—"
"In the bag-good-"
Harry rushed to where Hermione had landed, grabbed the beaded packet, and inserted his hand into it. Immediately, his hand touched things: the leather spine, the sleeves of the cardigan, the heels—
"Quick!"
He grabbed his wand from the ground and pointed to the inside of the magic bag.
"Bai Xian is flying!"
A brown vial jumped out of the bag, he grabbed it and hurried back to Hermione and Ron. Ron's eyes were half-open and half-closed, with only the whites of his upper and lower eyelids showing.
"He passed out." Hermione was also pale, "Help me open, Harry, my hands are shaking."
Harry pulled the stopper off the vial, Hermione took it, and poured three drops of the medicine on the bleeding wound. The green smoke billowed up, and when it dissipated, Harry saw that the blood had stopped, the wound looked as if it had been growing for days, and the flesh just exposed was covered with a new layer of skin.
“Wow,” said Harry.
"I only dare to do so much," said Hermione, tremblingly, "there are spells that can make him fully recover, but I dare not use them, for fear of doing the wrong thing and causing more damage... He's already shed so much blood..."
"How did he get hurt? I mean," Harry shook his head, trying to figure out what was going on, "what is this place?"
Hermione took a deep breath and looked like she was about to cry.
"While we Apparated, that Death Eater - Yaxley caught me, I couldn't shake him, he was too strong. Halfway through, I had to—I had to use The Pulling Charm forced him to let it go, but I was distracted and could only think of a random place...I guess he might have fallen in Diagon Alley...I'm sorry, Harry."
"Don't be silly, it's not your fault! If you're to blame, it's me..." Harry said, "I'm the one who left the protection of the Faithful Charm."
Before Hermione could answer, Ron snorted and opened his eyes. He was still grey and sweaty.
"How are you feeling?" Hermione asked softly.
"It sucks." Ron said hoarsely, touching his injured arm and shrinking in pain, "Where are we?"
"The forest where the Quidditch World Cup was held," said Hermione, "I was looking for some secluded, secluded place, and this is—"
"—the first place you think of." Harry finished speaking for him, looking at the seemingly uninhabited glade, he couldn't help remembering what Hermione thought of the last time they Apparated At the first place, the Death Eaters found them within minutes. Is it Legilimency? Did Voldemort or his henchmen now know where Hermione took them?
"Do you think we should move?" Ron asked. Harry knew from Ron's expression that he thought so too.
"I don't know."
Ron was still pale and wet. He didn't try to sit up and didn't seem to have the strength to do so. It was too difficult to transfer him.
"Stay here for now," said Harry.
Hermione jumped up in relief.
"Where are you going?" Ron asked.
"If you're going to be here, you'll have to put some protective magic around," she replied, holding up her wand and beginning to walk in a large circle beside Harry and Ron, mumbling words . Harry saw a slight quiver in the air around him, as if Hermione had conjured up a stream of heat above the clearing.
"Safeguarding...all protection...Muggle shield...shut your earplugs...you can take out the tent, Harry..."
"Tent?"
"In the bag!"
"In...of course," said Harry.
This time he didn't bother to touch again, but used a Flying Charm again. A pile of canvas, rope and poles flew out, presumably because of the smell of cats, and Harry recognized it as the tent they had slept in on the night of the Quidditch World Cup.
"Isn't this old Perkins from the Ministry of Magic?" he asked, starting to unpin the tent.
"He obviously doesn't want to take it back, his back pain is so bad." Hermione said she was now drawing intricate figure-eight patterns with her wand, "Ron's dad said he could borrow Give it to me. Erection!" she said, pointing to the messy canvas. The pile immediately rose into the air, and all at once settled on the ground in front of Harry, and the last nail flew out of Harry's surprised hands and slammed into the end of the stay.
"Trap," Hermione waved her wand upwards at last, "that's all I can do. At least, if they come, we should know, but I can't guarantee it will. Block the V-"
"Don't say names!" Ron cut her off sharply.
Harry and Hermione looked at each other.
"I'm sorry," Ron leaned up to look at them and snorted softly, "it makes me feel like a—a curse or something. Can't we call him Mysterio, please?"
"Dumbledore said the fear of a name—" said Harry.
"Reminder, mate, calling You-Know-Who by name doesn't get Dumbledore any good." Ron bluntly said, "Just—just show some respect for You-Know-Who, okay? no?"
"Respect?" Harry repeated, and Hermione gave Harry a warning glance, clearly not arguing with Ron in such a weak situation.
Harry and Hermione dragged Ron into the tent. Inside was exactly what Harry remembered: a small suite with a bathroom and a tiny kitchen. He pushed aside an old armchair and carefully placed Ron on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. The short journey had also made Ron even paler, and as soon as he was placed on the mattress, he closed his eyes again and didn't speak for a while.
"I'm going to make some tea." Hermione panted, took the kettle and cup from her pouch and went into the kitchen.
Harry felt that the hot tea was very timely, and seemed to scald the throbbing fear in his heart a little. After a minute or two, Ron broke the silence.
"What do you say about Lupin and Cedric?"
"With any luck, they've escaped," said Hermione, clutching the hot cup of tea tightly for comfort, "as long as they're sane, as soon as we're gone, they should die and eat A duel of gangsters. Lupin might be with Tonks now, Harry told him to."
"My God, I hope they escape." Ron said, leaning back on the pillow. The hot tea seemed to make him feel better and restore a little blood. "Merlin, I really hope they get away...if both of them are because of us..."
Harry looked at Hermione and swallowed the question on his lips - how on earth did the Death Eaters find out about their whereabouts. Hermione watched as Ron fretted over the fate of the Order of the Phoenix, and her expression was so tender that Harry felt as if he saw her kissing Ron.
In the afternoon of the second day, there were more customers at the Pig Head Bar. George and Fred in disguise swaggered in the door. Sitting at a small round table a little distance from the bar.
"Three butterbeers," George snapped his fingers to the waitress behind the bar.
Gwen slammed three dirty beer bottles on the table with a bang. "Why are you here again?"
"Meet a friend." Fred said mysteriously.
"It's not good," George said in a barely audible voice.
Gwen narrowed his eyes, lowered his head and pretended to wipe the table, and quickly said in George's ear, "Five minutes."
She swayed back to the bar slowly, yawned, and then climbed up to the second floor lightly when the guests were not paying attention. Back in her room, she wrapped her head tightly with a brown scarf and changed into an extra wide cloak. She walked around the back door of the bar, pushed open the front door, and tried to approach the twins' round table as naturally as possible.
"Turn off the earplugs and listen." Fred moved his lips and erected a soundproof barrier around the three of them.
"What happened?" Gwen asked quickly.
"Mad-Eye moved out yesterday," George said. "Just after Cedric sent the Patronus to speak. No one knows where he went."
Gwen's eyelids twitched, and they both understood that Cedric's task now was to cover up Harry's whereabouts.
"There were four big crows who didn't know how to find them." Fred meant, "Luckily Cedric and Moonface were nearby."
Gwen felt like her heart was about to jump out of her throat. "Four
