MTL - Harry Potter and the Badger Who Can’t Magic-Chapter 136 Telephone
Auston sipped the black tea and listened to Sissy ramble:
"Did you know that it's almost two months since the summer vacation, and Harry hasn't sent me a single letter. I don't know how many letters I've written to him."
When Sissy's face was full of anger, Auston secretly laughed. I'm afraid Harry Potter is still fighting against Dobby, the house elf who suddenly appeared. I don't know if he has successfully escaped from his uncle's house now.
Auston put down his teacup and said with a smirk, "Don't hold on to fearless hope. Men are all the same. Maybe he has better friends at home to play with him. I've forgotten you long ago."
Although it is not a gentleman's act to alienate, if Qian Qian can smoothly distance himself from the trio, Auston doesn't mind being a villain for a while.
Sissi slapped the cup heavily on the dining table, and the cup and the dining table made a pong sound.
"You are talking nonsense!" Sissi's fair face turned red with anger: "Harry is not that kind of person!"
Auston shrugged: "Then why didn't he reply to you, doesn't he have an owl?"
"He... he must have been delayed by something urgent. Or, or maybe, in a place where he can't receive letters." Sissy stumblingly defended Harry.
Auston secretly complained in his heart, of course, in a place where he couldn't receive letters, what letters could he receive when he was locked in a room.
"Alright, alright, my dear children, don't quarrel in the morning." Seeing that both children and daughters were looking bad, Mrs. Brown hurriedly came out to smooth things out.
"Sissi, if he doesn't receive the letter, can you call him directly." Mr. Brown put down his teacup and suggested to Sissi:
"His relatives are all Muggles, so there should be a phone at home."
When Qian Qian heard his words, she seemed suddenly enlightened: "Yes, Dad, I'll look it up. He should have left a number for me."
Saying that, the fiery little girl stood up abruptly, the chair behind her slapped the floor with a stinging sound, and ran upstairs.
Auston rolled his eyes and sighed softly, it seemed that he could never stop her.
"Auston, you shouldn't be like this." Mr. Brown blamed Auston for what he had just said: "Dad taught you to be a gentleman since you were young. A gentleman can't speak ill of others behind his back. And as a brother, you don't either. My sister should be deprived of her right to make friends."
Mr. Brown seemed to see Auston's dislike of Harry.
Auston was also a little embarrassed, after all, Harry didn't do anything to really hurt Sissy, not to mention that he was still behind bars. This kind of slandering him is also really inappropriate.
Auston humbly accepted Mr. Brown's criticism: "I'm sorry dad, I won't do it next time."
As soon as he finished speaking, Qian Qian ran down with a note: "I found the phone number of his uncle's house!"
She ran to the wall-mounted landline beside the sofa and tried her best to calm her breathing.
Auston held the teacup and asked Dolly to refill the tea: "I suggest you don't tell Potter's family that you are his Hogwarts classmate." He said casually.
"Why can't you say it?" Sissi had just calmed her breath, because Auston's words were messed up again.
"Isn't there such a person in the world?" Auston drank the lipstick tea, put the teacup on the dining table, turned to look at Sissy and said, "Even if he saw magic with his own eyes, he would not believe it, and he would not believe it. Disgusting. Potter's family is one of those Muggles, and I bet you would hang up if you said you were Potter's Hogwarts classmate."
Sissi frowned, trying to digest the information in Auston's words. Although Auston sometimes doesn't like her dealings with her friends, his advice is often solid.
Sissy picked up the phone and, as he thought, didn't mention her identity as a Hogwarts student, just stated that she was Potter's ordinary friend and asked him to answer the phone.
Unexpectedly, it really worked. After a while, the phone from the other end came into Harry's hands.
"What house elf?" Sissi, who was holding the loudspeaker, suddenly shouted, "Isn't your uncle's family a Muggle family, how can there be a house elf?"
Sissi, who had just hired a house elf, wanted to show it off, but Harry didn't expect to mention it first.
Then Auston heard Sissy's voice getting smaller again, as if she was whispering something, it should be Uncle Harry over there listening.
"Why did he take all your letters?" she asked quietly.
What was the answer from the receiver, Qian Qian kept nodding her head: "Hmm, um."
"It doesn't matter, you tell him that Dumbledore is there to protect us, and we will never be in danger."
Sissi said this, Auston put down the teacup and listened.
…………
"Okay, that's it, I'll call you again. Goodbye."
Sissi looked a little disappointed when she hung up the phone.
She strolled to the dining table, seemingly meditating, and seemed to be muttering to herself:
"What danger will there be in the school?"
Auston kept calm, it seemed that the plot of Voldemort's diary was known to Dobby, and he was trying his best to prevent Harry from returning to Hogwarts to study.
He patted Qian Qian's little head: "What's the matter~www.novelbuddy.com~ Is there something we Miss Brown can't figure out?"
Sissi shook her head and shook Auston's hand: "Harry said that a house-elf named Dobby suddenly appeared in his house, and he intercepted all the letters sent to him from me, Hermione and Ron. ."
"He came out to wreak havoc when Harry's uncle was entertaining guests, and blamed Harry for the fault, and now Harry has been locked up by his uncle. His uncle said he would never be allowed to go to Hogwar again. Z went to school."
Qian Qian's tone was a little low, but in the UK, it's normal for children to make mistakes and annoy adults and be ordered not to go out, and they can't help.
But Vernon dared to say that never letting Harry go to school again was pure bullshit, it seemed he had forgotten the disaster that Hagrid had brought to them last year when Harry received his first letter of admission.
But Auston is not worried, because Ron and the others will definitely pick up Harry in a speeding car.
And even if the Weasleys didn't get involved, Dumbledore wouldn't let it go.
He patted Sissi on the shoulder and smiled to comfort her: "Don't worry, you will definitely see Harry when school starts."
"Really?" Sissi raised her head and looked at Auston, her blue eyes sparkling with hope.
Auston smiled: "Really, I promise you, isn't he the best student of your Gryffindor? Dumbledore will definitely not leave him alone."
As he said that, Qian Qian gradually felt relieved.
Auston drank the black tea in the cup, put down the cup and stood up: "Don't worry, your brother I just came back, and I haven't given you the gift I brought back from France."
Qian Qian also really has a childish temperament. As soon as she heard that she had a gift, her mood immediately improved.
