My Accidental Harem-Chapter 40
Chapter 40: Chapter 40
"Really, trust me, I’ll take good care of you," I said earnestly.
"But I don’t know you yet," Rowan said softly, her voice sweet and gentle.
"Well, now you do. I’m Kevin," I replied.
"But I don’t understand you yet," she said softly.
Listening to her sweet voice, my heart was intoxicated.
"You’ll get to know me once you become my girlfriend," I said with a smile.
"Give me some time to think about it," Rowan said softly, and when she lowered her head, I saw a glimmer of joy in her eyes.
"Can I walk you home now?" I reached for her backpack.
"No need, I’ll walk with Saskia," Rowan said, her soft hand gripping the thin backpack strap tightly.
"Alright, then let’s walk together," I said boldly, standing by her side. I smelled Rowan’s faint fragrance and felt like I was falling in love again.
Throughout the walk, Rowan didn’t speak to me but chatted with Saskia the whole way.
However, I could always catch Rowan’s eyes sneaking glances at me.
I knew she was interested.
I slowed down, trailing behind them, taking in the graceful figures of Rowan and Saskia.
Honestly, Saskia had a bit more going for her than Rowan.
Rowan wasn’t very tall, just about 5’2", while Saskia stood at a slender 5’6" with fair, delicate skin.
Saskia’s ample and perky chest was perfectly complemented by her light blue skinny jeans that highlighted the soft curves of her long legs. Her firm, round butt had a shape that stirred thoughts of intimacy. Rowan, on the other hand, wore a simple white dress that didn’t really show off any curves.
But Rowan had this unique vibe that made me want to protect her and keep her close.
Soon enough, the three of us were standing at Rowan’s front door.
Rowan glanced at me shyly.
"I’m going up," she said.
Then she turned and gracefully ran up the stairs, leaving me staring intently at her disappearing figure.
"What are you looking at? Rowan’s already inside," Saskia said, pouting slightly.
"You’re not going to ditch me now, are you?" She pouted playfully, looking a bit annoyed.
"Of course not! I’m a gentleman, let’s go," I said, feeling a bit awkward.
"You’ve got good taste. Rowan’s never had a boyfriend," Saskia said, patting me with her delicate hand and smiling.
"You’re not bad yourself. Do you have a boyfriend?" I teased.
"Are you trying to hit on me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell Rowan?" she teased back, a playful glint in her eyes.
"I don’t have any such intentions! I haven’t even started anything with Rowan yet; how could I possibly pursue you?" I said, looking at Saskia’s mature and charming figure.
"So you mean, you’re gonna pursue me after starting with Rowan? You guys are all the same, never getting enough!" Saskia stomped her foot playfully.
"No, that’s not what I meant, but it’s okay to have some fun. Ouch!"
Saskia lifted her long, straight leg and kicked my butt, cutting off my nonsense.
Saskia was indeed a lovely girl.
I carefully observed her charming figure, from her long legs to her sexy bust, then focused on her face, which was soft and delicate, with a high nose.
Saskia noticed my attention and proudly flaunted her long legs. "I don’t have a boyfriend either. Why don’t you pursue me?" she said with a smile.
"I didn’t know you before. But how could such a beautiful girl like you not have a boyfriend?" I replied.
Hearing me compliment her, Saskia smiled happily. "Am I prettier than Rowan?"
I nodded and said. "You are indeed prettier than Rowan!"
I wasn’t lying. By mainstream standards, Saskia was obviously prettier than Rowan.
But the vibe Rowan gave off was more attractive to me than just her looks.
We chatted and laughed, and soon we arrived at Saskia’s doorstep. "Want to come in and hang out for a bit?" Saskia pointed to the door on the right side of the first floor.
"I wish I could, but it’s already late, and I need to head back," I said, leaving under Saskia’s slightly reluctant gaze.
My main goal now was to date Rowan.
It was better to stay away from girls like Saskia!
I planned my next move on the way home. For a pure girl like Rowan, I had to be proactive if I wanted to win her over.
That night, I wrote a heartfelt love letter to Rowan.
After wrapping up my writing, I leaned back in my chair, feeling pretty satisfied with my first love letter.
The next day after school, I waited for Rowan at the stairwell, just like yesterday. She came down with Saskia again.
I walked home with them, but Rowan didn’t say a word.
As we were walking, Saskia suddenly turned to me and asked. "How many girls have you chased? You must have been close with quite a few, right?"
No way I was admitting that in front of Rowan.
So, I calmly said, "Nope."
Saskia rolled her eyes and shot back, "I’ve heard you’re quite the ladies’ man. Too scared to admit it, huh?"
I quickly patted my chest and assured her. "You’ve been misled! I’m actually very pure and loyal when it comes to relationships!"
Rowan couldn’t help but laugh at that, her voice clear and pleasant.
"When you smile, you look so innocent," I teased her, and Rowan stopped smiling and gave me a playful glare.
"Don’t lie to me." Rowan’s face turned red, and as we reached her house, I grabbed her small hand.
Rowan looked at me with sparkling eyes, gently pulling her hand back.
"Here, this is for you." I handed her the love letter, and Rowan winked at me with a smile before skipping upstairs.
The next day, I was waiting to walk Rowan home again, and this time, she showed up alone.
"Let’s go, you’ve been waiting long?" she asked.
I kept glancing behind her, and she smiled, "Saskia didn’t walk with me today. Are you disappointed?" Blushing, Rowan looked a bit shy.
I quickly explained, "No, no, I’m thrilled."
"Really?" Rowan smiled, her eyes sparkling.
I chuckled, "Of course! Don’t worry, I won’t like Saskia. I only like you."
"Who said I wanted you to like me?" Rowan lightly punched me, turning her face slightly. Her long hair fluttered in the breeze, looking adorable.
Before I knew it, we were back at Rowan’s house.
