My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 227: Suddenly Grasped Her Hand
"Because there’s a fool who keeps bumping into things."
Noah Drexler’s words fell, leaving Summer Shawcross somewhat shocked, her face showing an awkward expression.
How did he know...
The light in the bedroom was dim, and she couldn’t see clearly, so she accidentally bumped into the coffee table several times, or other furniture, but she never said anything.
She thought he didn’t know...
Thinking of this, she awkwardly glanced towards the window, then changed the subject, and with a happy smile said to him,
"By the way, the scenery tonight is quite beautiful, there are quite a few stars in the sky, how about we go for a walk?"
He had been in this airtight and lightless room for several days now, and he should go out and breathe some fresh air.
Listening to her words, Noah Drexler frowned, looking at this easily satisfied woman in front of him, found himself at a loss for words.
"What’s so special about just a few stars?" he said, pursing his lips with some disdain.
"..." Summer was speechless; indeed, this man had no sense of romance.
Just as she was about to turn away, the man’s rough palm suddenly grasped her hand.
She stopped in her tracks.
When she felt the roughness of his palm, her heartbeat seemed to stop for a second...
"Weren’t you going to look at the stars? Why aren’t you moving?" his low and assertive voice sounded by her ear.
By the time she reacted, the man was already leading her out of the bedroom, heading downstairs.
She looked at his back in confusion, yet felt a bit helpless and amused in her heart.
A man who says one thing but means another...
...
On the first floor.
As Sean Morgan saw Noah Drexler leading Summer Shawcross downstairs, his shocked voice arose.
"Boss?"
He looked in disbelief at Noah Drexler, who on the surface appeared almost the same as usual, surprised by his quick recovery. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
He hadn’t expected he would manage to come downstairs so quickly.
He thought it would take a month.
Yet, unexpectedly, the lady had only arrived for a day...
Noah just glanced at Sean without saying much and continued to lead Summer Shawcross outside the villa.
The morning rain had made the grass on the lawn cool, in stark contrast to the warmth of Noah’s palm...
Summer dressed in a white dress, with sandals on her feet, stepped on the soft grass, feeling the fresh breeze, and her body and mind relaxed.
The white swing from earlier in the day had been set up, resting quietly on the villa’s lawn, gently swaying in the breeze.
Seeing this, Summer wriggled free from Noah’s grasp, ran to the swing, sat on it, and gently pushed off the grass with her legs, setting the swing in motion.
She lifted her head, looking at the stars, which seemed to sway along with her.
Sitting on a swing watching the stars and the moon was one of her favorite things to do when bored as a child.
...
Noah stood not far away, watching her sit on the swing with her head tilted, gazing at the stars with a rare happy expression, and even his handsome face showed a hint of joy.
The breeze swept over, lightly swaying her white dress and waist-length hair...
He gazed captivated at her current state.
Much later... until the swing slowly stopped, the woman raised her head, gazing at the stars, seemingly lost in thought... only then did he move once more.
