My Antique Mirror Is A Portal To Another World-Chapter 624: Are You Sure You’re Not Kidding Me?
Looking at the unmoving Jin Kui from the table’s screen, Bai Hanyun asked doubtfully, "Is it done just like that? Is he dead?"
Wu Jun shook his head and explained, "What I gave him just now is just a strong anesthetic drug."
Bai Hanyun rubbed her chin when she heard this, then asked, "Since you can shoot the anesthetic drug, can’t you just poison him to death?"
Before Wu Jun could explain, Hua Yuyu replied to her question, "Our plan is to assassinate him, not to poison him."
Not understanding the difference, Bai Hanyun asked in confusion, "Is there a difference between the two?"
Wu Jun nodded at her words. "Yes. If we poisoned him, those who would benefit from his death might help us cover it and take the benefit for themselves. But if we assassinate him, nobody dares to claim the credit. What we want is causing chaos internally, not helping those princes fighting for the throne."
After listening to his explanation, Bai Hanyun gave Wu Jun a thumbs-up. "Brother Wu, you are a genius!"
Seeing that it was time for the imperial guards to change shifts, Hua Yuyu said, "I will go in with Kaimu. You guys, wait here."
"Yes, Captain," the others responded in unison.
"Got it," Bai Hanyun replied with a hint of anticipation in her eyes.
Turning to the Yang Mirror, Hua Yuyu politely said, "Yang Mirror, I’m sorry to trouble you for this matter."
The Yang Mirror was satisfied with Hua Yuyu’s politeness and smiled. "Kid, you are too polite. This is just a small matter."
Reaching toward Hua Yuyu, he added, "Hold my hand and don’t let go. I won’t be responsible if any of your body parts are left behind."
When his words fell, Hua Yuyu and Wang Kaimu were speechless.
"..." Brother, can you be more responsible, please?
Keeping that thought for himself, Hua Yuyu reached toward the Yang Mirror’s outstretched hand, then held it tightly.
Following his example, Wang Kaimu also grabbed the Yang Mirror’s arm and took a step closer to him.
Noticing this, the Yang Mirror rolled his eyes at Wang Kaimu’s smiling face, then snapped his fingers.
Snap!
Instantly, the three of them disappeared from the rooftop.
Before everyone could react, Wu Jun saw that they had appeared on the small butterfly drone’s camera feeds.
"They are inside," Wu Jun calmly informed the others.
Hearing this, the others hurriedly looked at the tablet’s screen.
Inside the inner room of Jin Kui’s bed chamber, the Yang Mirror looked at the hands grabbing his hand and arm, and helplessly said, "We are inside now. You two can let go of my hand. Don’t worry. None of your limbs are left behind."
When Hua Yuyu and Wang Kaimu heard this, they opened their eyes, only to find that they had appeared inside the bed chamber.
Letting go of the Yang Mirror’s hand, Hua Yuyu calmly said, "I will guard here. Kaimu, you go and finish him off."
"Roger that."
While Hua Yuyu was guarding the entrance, the Yang Mirror followed Wang Kaimu to the bed. Standing by the bed, he glanced at Wang Kaimu and asked, "How will you do it now?"
Wang Kaimu smiled gently at him and replied, "Just watch."
Raising his brows, the Yang Mirror stood there and watched with great interest as Wang Kaimu took out a dagger from his Qiankun Pouch.
Watching how Wang Kaimu calmly but accurately stabbed and slashed Jin Kui’s body from the tablet’s screen, Bai Hanyun shuddered and thought, ’Heaven! I thought Brother Kaimu was a very gentle and friendly person. Who knew that he was more terrifying than the stoic and expressionless Brother Kaiye!’
Not knowing that his gentle image inside Bai Hanyun’s mind had shattered into pieces, Wang Kaimu finished his mission flawlessly.
Holding the blood-stained dagger, he stood up and inspected the wounds on Jin Kui’s body. After making sure that he wouldn’t leave any clues behind, he put away the dagger.
Taking out a pack of wet tissue, he wiped the blood off his hands, then put away the blood-stained tissue back in his Qiankun Pouch.
Looking at Jin Kui’s warm corpse, he smiled in satisfaction. "Perfect."
Turning to the Yang Mirror, Wang Kaimu asked, "How is it? Doesn’t it look good?"
Glancing at the corpse with multiple shallow and deep wounds, the Yang Mirror shook his head and muttered, "What a sin."
Ignoring the Yang Mirror’s words, Wang Kaimu left and approached Hua Yuyu. "Captain, it’s done."
Turning around, Hua Yuyu nodded in response. "Good. Let’s join the others."
Hearing this, the Yang Mirror reached toward them in silence. After Hua Yuyu and Wang Kaimu held his arm, he snapped his fingers.
Snap!
A second later, the three of them had returned to the rooftop, joining the others.
Seeing that the others were staring at them, Hua Yuyu calmly ordered, "Let’s retreat."
"Yes, Captain." Wu Jun then controlled the small butterfly drone out of the palace, then quickly packed up his things.
When he was done, he nodded at the Yang Mirror. "Let’s go."
The Yang Mirror waved his hand to open the teleportation portal, but something strange happened.
Frowning slightly, the Yang Mirror tilted his head in confusion and doubt. "Huh?"
Sensing something was wrong, Bai Hanyun asked, "What’s wrong? Why don’t you open the teleportation portal?"
Being asked by her, the Yang Mirror looked at her.
Not getting any answer from him, Bai Hanyun frowned slightly and urged, "Why don’t you say anything?"
"..."
The Yang Mirror was silent for a while before slowly saying, ".... I can’t open it."
"Huh?" Bai Hanyun thought she had heard it wrong, so she rubbed her ears. She chuckled, then muttered with a hint of doubt in her voice, "I think I heard you wrong. How could you fail to open the portal?"
"...." Knowing how unbelievable this was, the Yang Mirror couldn’t say anything in response.
Staring at the Yang Mirror’s confused and doubtful expression, Bai Hanyun also fell silent.
"...." No, are you sure you’re not kidding me?
