My Beasts Grind Proficiency For Me-Chapter 75: Heaven’s Will, 4 Poles
Yang Jing and Iron Head stood guard outside the Quiet Chamber. As a Pure-blooded Flood Dragon, the phenomenon of Yinjiao’s Transformation was far more magnificent than Iron Head’s.
First, rosy clouds steamed and billowed, rising and gathering before transforming into a continuous stretch of dark clouds. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, and the wind howled. In the blink of an eye, the sky opened up into a torrential downpour, forming a vast white curtain of rain that obscured the mountains.
Even the Marketplace at the foot of the mountain was shrouded in the sudden rain, its pavilions and buildings now faint and indistinct.
Yang Jing could only be thankful that this astonishing celestial phenomenon had no Spiritual Qi fluctuations. It just looked like a sudden, heavy shower.
Only when the rain completely stopped did Yinjiao complete his Transformation and walk out of the Quiet Chamber.
He was about the same height as Iron Head. A cascade of soft black hair fell to his shoulders, framing a small, exquisitely carved face. His complexion was like White Jade, his features as if from a painting. Although he wore an oversized Daoist Robe, it did nothing to diminish his aura. His movements were radiant and graceful, and his presence alone was as brilliant as the sun and moon.
Although he only looked to be seven or eight years old, one could already imagine the peerless grace Yinjiao would possess as a grown man.
Seeing Yinjiao’s human form, however, made Yang Jing’s heart twitch slightly. With just Iron Head, he might have thought it a coincidence. But with Yinjiao as well, he was certain of his suspicion.
Both Iron Head and Yinjiao shared a strong resemblance to him in their facial features, especially their eyes. Iron Head’s version was simply more masculine, while Yinjiao’s was even more handsome.
’They must have spent so much time with me that when they underwent their Transformation, they subconsciously modeled their appearance after mine.’
Yang Jing’s feelings were complicated. Looking at these two boys, he suddenly felt as if he’d gained two sons. However, he quickly adjusted his mindset. ’So what if they look like my sons? Even if they were my own flesh and blood, they’d still have to work and perform Alchemy.’
When Wang Tong’s wife and concubines left, they hadn’t taken the ingredients from the kitchen. Yang Jing decided to take them all out and prepare a celebratory feast for Iron Head and Yinjiao’s successful Transformation into human form.
To prevent any problems with the two Three Cities Bloodthirsty Mosquito Mothers being left unattended, the master and his two disciples started cooking in the cellar. Yang Jing built a makeshift stove in the center of the cellar, lit the Silver Silk Charcoal, and started cooking.
Yinjiao summoned clean water to wash and chop the vegetables, while Iron Head stood on a small stool, brandishing a large spatula almost as tall as himself to stir-fry the food.
Meanwhile, Yang Jing brought over a lounge chair, lay down comfortably, took out a bottle of fine wine from Wang Tong’s collection, and poured himself a drink.
"Brother Wang, I have to say, this wine of yours is really quite good."
Even Wang Tong wore a look of contempt.
"I never would have guessed you had two children, Little Brother Yang. You really hide them well."
By now, he had started to doubt Yang Jing’s identity, but he had already spilled everything he knew. It was too late for regrets.
Yang Jing choked for a moment, then shook his head helplessly. He was in no mood to explain, so he could only take a large gulp of the fine wine in retaliation.
Yinjiao’s knife skills were excellent, and Iron Head handled the frying, stir-frying, and deep-frying. The two apprentice-brothers worked together and quickly prepared a table full of delicious dishes. Yang Jing, wine cup in hand, took the seat of honor and began to eat.
The principles of Alchemy are far more profound than those of cooking. Iron Head had already reached a respectable level in his Alchemy Skill, and thanks to his Elixir Understanding, he knew the best way to prepare an ingredient just by looking at it. Naturally, the dishes he made were bound to be good.
Although the cooking methods were simple, not as fancy and varied as the female cook Wang Tong had previously hired, they suited his tastes better.
The three of them shoveled rice and picked at the dishes, eating with great gusto.
Wang Tong, still hanging on the wall, could only watch them enjoy the delicacy. A storm of emotions churned within him. ’I’m kept alive by Yang Jing feeding me rice slurry every day; I’ve already forgotten what meat even tastes like.’
Suddenly, a thunderclap went off in his mind. He stared at Iron Head and Yinjiao with a horrified expression.
"Those are the two Demons! You refined a Transformation Pill!"
No matter what, he could never have imagined that the one to refine the Transformation Pill was that unremarkable black hound from before.
’I never expected to keep it a secret from Wang Tong forever. I spend every day in the cellar with Iron Head and Yinjiao; it was only a matter of time before they were recognized. I’ve already achieved my minimum goal by obtaining the Spirit Medicines for the Transformation Pill and the Bone Marrow Transformation Pill through the Profound Carp Association. Anything else I can get from the Association from now on is pure profit.’
"A Transformation Pill! That’s a Tier Two Spirit Pill!"
Wang Tong struggled violently against the Iron Essence Lock Chain.
"Little Brother Yang, we can work together! We can bypass the Profound Carp Association. I know a few ’mules.’ If we transport the Transformation Pills to the Demon Country, we can sell them for at least eight thousand Spirit Stones each. But if you give them to the Profound Carp Association, after all their commissions, you’ll only get four thousand!"
Yang Jing ignored him, simply sealing his mouth with Magical Power.
’Thinking he can ship Spirit Pills to the Demon Country just because he knows a few mules... Wang Tong is too naive. If I actually worked with him, the mules would probably be caught the moment they entered the Six Passes Defense Line.’
The waters of the Profound Carp Association ran far deeper than Wang Tong imagined. This business wasn’t something that could be pulled off by a few Middle Layer Foundation Establishment cultivators from some Great Trading Houses colluding together. The Profound Carp Mirror Magical Artifact alone was something that no one outside the Six Great Sects of the Western Continent could refine.
After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Yang Jing took Yinjiao up to the Quiet Chamber. Iron Head, however, remained in the cellar to practice the True Yang Body. After his Transformation, he could finally cultivate the Tiger Roar Iron Cloth Shirt and the Great Capturing Technique from the True Yang Body.
Paired with his innate Talent, the High-level True Demon Body, his combat power would increase by leaps and bounds.
With so many Spirit Stones on hand, Yang Jing decided to first spend his Spirit Stones to raise Yinjiao’s Twenty-Four Solar Terms Swordsmanship to the Peak of Perfection and unlock a new Talent.
He had already spent Spirit Stones to raise this Sword Mantra to the Mastery Realm. Raising it one more level would only cost a little over six thousand Spirit Stones, a trivial amount for the current Yang Jing.
As the Spirit Stones in the Storage Bag disappeared, Yinjiao’s progress in the Twenty-Four Solar Terms Swordsmanship advanced by leaps and bounds. Soon, the progress bar for Mastery was filled.
[Twenty-Four Solar Terms Swordsmanship: Peak of Perfection (0%)]
Just as Yang Jing expected, a new Talent appeared in Yinjiao’s talent column.
[Celestial Intent Four Extremes Twenty-four Forms Sword Intent (Legendary)]
The child-like Yinjiao’s expression turned solemn. Twenty-four streams of Sword Qi, each with its own unique atmospheric phenomenon, appeared around his body. They faintly occupied the four cardinal directions, forming what looked like a Sword Array that protected him at its center.
Within the Sword Array, all sorts of atmospheric phenomena shifted endlessly. At times, clouds swirled; at others, Celestial Thunder rumbled. Sometimes a gale would howl, and sometimes hail would rain down, constantly manifesting around Yinjiao’s body.
"This is a Sword Array!"
Yang Jing hadn’t expected that raising the Twenty-Four Solar Terms Swordsmanship to the Peak of Perfection Realm would grant a Technique to form an array with a single sword. However, Yinjiao’s Sword Technique was only at the Realm of Refining Sword into Gang, so he couldn’t unleash the Sword Array’s true power. It was all for show.
He would have to at least comprehend Sword Light Division, where the power of each individual Sword Light is equivalent to a full-power strike, to completely unleash the might of this Celestial Intent Four Extremes Twenty-four Forms Sword Intent.
Comprehending Sword Light Division required at least the Golden Core Realm. The shallow Magical Power and Divine Sense of the Qi Cultivation and Foundation Establishment Realms were simply not enough to control it.
The current Yinjiao was only at the Qi Cultivation Stage; he was still a long, long way from that Realm.
