My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 18: White cell aura
Chapter 18: White cell aura
The Hakia was dead.
Rashin stood before it, blood dripping from his blade as he stared down at the defeated monster.
And just like the last time, the Fallen One did not disappear; it simply remained on the ground, frozen like ice.
[You have killed a Hakia.]
[You have gained a new blueprint.]
[Balsamic Armor.]
[You have gained 7 magic stones, giving you a total of 10 magic stones.]
Rashin sighed; his sights were no longer set on the system notification.
No, he had other things to worry about.
Though he defeated two of the Hakias, to people who watched from the shadows, he was no different from the monster he had just defeated.
Surrounding his position were the military soldiers of the royal capital, each one of them skilled in their own way.
And they all had a collective target—the man who had just killed the Hakias.
"Put your hands on your head. The Duke would like to speak with you," said one of the soldiers.
Rashin knew this was a lie.
If he willingly followed them wherever they wanted, he would be used for his power or, better still, distracted from his main goal.
"And if I refuse?" Rashin questioned back.
The soldiers all activated their magic energy, aura leaking from all sides.
"Then we'll have no choice but to act accordingly."
If he were to battle with them, Rashin could not determine if winning was on the cards for him.
Considering his level of strength, his white cell aura wouldn't help him much against regular humans.
But if he were to run away, there was a chance he could easily outrun them all due to his skill, [Speed Blitz.]
With his face hidden under his cloak, it would be more than perfect.
One by one, the soldiers began to move closer to Rashin.
That was until they heard the voice of a woman screaming from one of the alleys.
"Come forth! Explosion!!!" the voice yelled.
And not even a second later, everywhere covering both the soldiers and Rashin enveloped into flames, blowing everything away.
The soldiers acted quickly, each using their magic to summon a shield that would block the flames from damaging them.
Once the fire had cleared up, all that was left was a huge hole in the ground and not a single sign of the hooded man.
Standing at the edge of the crater, one of the soldiers said, "Inform the Duke, the cloaked individual has escaped."
...
Somewhere in the royal capital, Rashin found himself lying flat on the ground in the forest, while Eri was knelt beside him, trying to catch her breath.
"I thought I told you to run away," Rashin spoke.
"Yeah, you did, and? You were about to get yourself captured, in the royal capital of all places!" Eri yelled back.
"I had a plan to get myself out," Rashin replied as he sat upright, the blade in his hand disappearing into the wind.
"Did that also involve battling multiple S-ranked soldiers?" She was angry, and it showed on her face.
Rashin sighed, "I don't understand this rank thing. But I assure you, I had it under control."
At this point, Eri simply sat down, looking Rashin in the eye.
"I have a question..." she began.
Rashin replied, "I shall answer them."

"I know the Hakias once destroyed the world and shit. Honestly, there's not a single person that likes them. But still, I can't help but tell you have a deep grudge towards them that goes beyond them taking over the world once."
Rashin was quiet as Eri continued.
"And I'm not trying to say it's invalid, it's just... you tend to act up when it comes to the Hakias. You... become a different person."
"Can I ask you something too, Priestess?"
Eri listened.
"Have you ever had your arms ripped off from your body while being eaten alive at the same time? Have you ever had to watch people eat themselves just to survive? Have you seen an entire family wiped out in a matter of seconds? Have you witnessed these before?"
Eri lowered her head. It didn't take a genius to understand where Rashin was heading.
"I have." Rashin's eyes sparked with energy. "I lived it, experienced it, so I know the pain my people faced at the hands of these damned monsters. Be it in my sleep or after my death, I will continue to hunt them down till I take my last breath and pass on."
His words cut deep, deep enough for Eri to tell he was indeed bleeding from these very words he let out.
She sighed.
"Honestly, I don't know what to do with you." She scratched the back of her head a bit. "But if your main goal is truly to kill off every Hakia, then I'll stand by you at all times. If you choose to deviate from that path, I'll slap you back to your senses."
Rashin smiled. "I will not."
"Good. Now then..."
Eri stood up, dusting her dress. "We need to figure out how to leave the royal capital. It's dangerous to remain here. Too many people of power are in the capital—we should be avoiding them, not drawing more attention."
Rashin also stood up.
"I am certain there are still more Hakias in the capital. If we leave now, they'll definitely be alive. I want them all dead."
"It's not like you can go around scanning every single person. I'll think of a way to open the people's eyes; you need not worry about that. What should be on your mind right now, Rashin, is getting stronger before the countdown appears."
Eri gently sat down on the rock. "There's a village east from here. If we go there, they should know a route that would lead us out of the royal capital without having to pass the borders."
"A village, huh? Been a while since I've seen one of those," Rashin said out loud, remembering his life in his former time.
"Well, you're about to see one now. Let's go."
