My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 23: Showdown II
Chapter 23: Showdown II
"Hey, open the barrier so I can come out. I need to help Rashin,"
Eri whispered, her hand pressing against the hard surface.
Daki turned around to look at her, only to ignore her statement and focus back on her master.
'Ack!'
Eri felt targeted. "The hell? You placed this barrier, didn't you? So get me out... Can't you see Rashin is—"
Her words flushed down her throat when she felt the aura sweeping from where Rashin was.
This was the aura of the king, and she knew it all too well.
'Shit.'
Her priority had changed.
Hahahahahaha!
Rouga laughed, pointing at Rashin.
"You look mad?! Are you mad? You really are pissed off right now, young hero..."
Rashin hissed, his fist clenching hard in anger.
"What about my words made you feel the need to have such an unpleasant look on your face? Go on, I'm listening. Was it the part where I said we, the Hakias, kill humans to survive? Does the thought of your own people dying before us annoy you that much?"
"Like I care... The only thing I want right now is to chop that head of yours off."
And Rashin meant every single word.
Seeing this, Rouga sighed. "Just from our brief conversation, I can tell you aren't the type to issue any kind of understanding. You want us dead that badly."
He raised his finger, pointing it to the side of his head. "Good thing we want the same thing. Ever since you killed one of ours, we knew we just had to get you out. The entire Hakias are enraged. Once we gather our army, we will take what is ours. Until then, you need to be eliminated."
"How many of you are on Earth?" Rashin asked.
"How are you able to kill us?" Rouga asked back.
Silence—
"See? I can be as understanding as you wa—"
Rouga's eyes widened. It was only a minute, a single blink, and Rashin had already arrived in front of him.
'Ohhhhhhhhh?~ He's good~~~~ very good~~~' Rouga smiled, his face filled with genuine joy.
One could not say the same about Rashin.
His fist was clenched, ready to blow a hole right through the chest of the monster.
Alas, he underestimated his energy.
Bash!
The Hakia with arms of water had stepped forward, slapping Rashin to the side.

His body tumbled, stopping only after Rashin flipped, his feet scraping against the ground.
Just then, another Hakia appeared behind him—the man with the head of flames.
"Don't get cocky... you damn human."
'I can't dodge it,' Rashin thought to himself. Despite holding his weapon, attacking the monster behind him was impossible.
Bang!
Flames poured from the Hakia's mouth.
Rather than burning Rashin in its scorching flames, it bounced off the barrier that had manifested itself to protect the king.
[Barrier has been activated.]
Rashin wasted no time.
He spun his dagger into a good position to hold, slid to the side, and aimed.
"Be gone."
His dagger sank into the ribs of the Hakia, his white cell aura flowing in like a broken dam.
Yet, the monster didn't seem to back down.
It grabbed Rashin's head, lifting him up and slamming him against the ground multiple times.
"Rashin!!!" Eri called out from within the barrier. There was nothing she could do—not as long as the barrier was still keeping her in.
With a final slam, the Hakia tossed Rashin to the side, his eyes now shifting to the growing injury on his ribs.
'Oh? So this is how he was able to kill my people? A little more, and I would have died for sure. This human... is not to be kept alive... not by any means.'
'I need to help him. How? How can I get out of this damn barrier?'
Eri looked around desperately, her eyes scanning for any means of escape.
Or so she thought.
Rouga stood close to the barrier—rather, he stood in front of the one who had manifested the barrier.
Daki.
"I mean no disrespect, little one, but I need that woman you kept in there. Mind handing her over to me?" he asked, his hand stretched forward.
Daki gave no response.
Taking a closer look at the man, Eri could not hide her fear.
Everything about this man screamed death.
"Perhaps you didn't hear me. I said I need the girl behind the barrier. Mind handing her over to me?"
Daki once again gave no response.
Rouga's face twisted in annoyance. "Now listen here, where do you get off ignoring adults when they are speaking?! Have you no manners?!"
Still, Daki gave no response.
While this pissed off Rouga, he immediately found his footing to calm himself.
"No worries. If you are going to act dumb, then I shall do the same."
He walked past her, his direction directly headed toward Eri.
Until—
Bash!
A huge hammer slammed against his head, snot pouring from his nose as he felt his eyes almost drop from their sockets.
Daki had constructed a giant hammer for the sole purpose of stopping his advance.
'That damn brat! I've had enough of—'
He turned around, meeting a huge fist that slammed against his face and sent him tumbling on the ground.
As soon as he stood up, he saw Daki falling from the sky, carrying the very hammer she had once used to strike his head.
"Oh, for fuck's sake, do you people have any bit of decency?!"
Swiping his hand to the side, he sent multiple fast-moving beams toward Daki, each one large enough to destroy mountains.
Daki immediately placed a barrier around herself, the beams deflecting and scattering into multiple positions before she landed on the floor.
'Just like that time when I tried to attack the boy—it kept getting sent back. Could it have been the work of this little girl?' Rouga thought to himself.
Not that Daki wanted to give him the time for that.
She charged forward, a shield in one hand and, in the other, a giant blade.
Rouga grinned.
'Still, compared to the boy... this girl is nothing to be worried about.'
