Just as the System chimed in his head, Zane felt something on his left hand and saw the tattoo of the book convulse as if wanting to leave.

This time seeing at the tattoo of the black book on the back of his left palm, he knew what he had to chose or the Book skill will forceful leave him.
"Villain Skill." Zane said.

Zane was delighted with his new skill. However, he knew he should not use this skill in the public. Or otherwise he would be marked as Villain.
He glanced at the back of his left palm and saw that the tattoo book seemed to settle down. However, it was still emitting a red glow. Yes, it was still reacting to the Red Moon shining in the night sky.

"Two forbidden spells," Zane murmured under his breath. "One should’ve been more than enough... but this second book is even more powerful than the first. With both of them, I can now stand against monsters, even those beyond my imagination."
The ceremony was ending.
As the moons gradually resumed their original places in the sky, Erlin descended gracefully, her silhouette still glowing faintly under the silver moonlight.
She approached Zane, knelt gently, and placed her hand over her heart. "My dear husband, let those moons be my witnesses," she said solemnly. "From this moment on, I vow to follow you and stand beside you until my final breath."
Zane’s heart clenched with emotion at her words.
She looked up, her eyes playful now. "Now it’s your turn... carry me to the bed."
Zane wasn’t dense—he understood the signal. He picked her up without a word, and she met him halfway with a kiss, one that deepened quickly into passion. He didn’t make it to the bed. Instead, he threw her onto the soft couch where their desires burned long into the night.
It was a night neither of them would forget.
The morning sun streamed through the gaps in the ceiling.
Zane stirred, stretched, and turned to find... an empty space beside him.
His eyes shot open. Erlin was gone.
He searched the cottage, room by room, calling her name, but there wasn’t even a trace. Anxiety crept into his chest like a slow poison.
"Did she leave me?" he asked himself, a lump forming in his throat. "After everything... after her vow?"
But even as the doubt grew, Zane clung to what he had seen in her eyes last night—sincerity. Warmth. Love. She wouldn’t abandon him... would she?
Ding!
[Calm down, Host. Erlin is not missing.]
Zane blinked. "Then where is she?"
[She is currently inside your Book Two.]
His eyes widened. "What?! How? Why?"
[Erlin, the Host’s registered spouse, has been selected as the Vessel for Book Two. No harm has come to her. In fact, within the book, her cultivation speed will drastically increase.]
[She can freely move in and out of the book at will.]
[To summon her, infuse your mana into the tattoo and call her by name.]
Zane hesitated only a second before placing his hand over the tattoo of the black book on his left palm. He channeled a surge of mana into it and called out:
"Erlin. If you can hear me... come out."
The mark pulsed red.
In a swirl of dark mist and silver sparkles, Erlin appeared beside him, fully dressed and smiling.
"You missed me already?" she teased, stretching like a cat.
Zane couldn’t help but sigh in relief. "Don’t scare me like that again."
She giggled. "Being inside the book isn’t scary. It’s... strange, but peaceful. Like floating in a sea of energy. I could stay in there for years if I wanted to."
He grinned. "Don’t get used to it. I’ll need you by my side."
The two got dressed, stepped out of the cottage—and found Shelby already waiting, licking bone marrow paste off his fingers with utter satisfaction.
"Sweet," Shelby muttered, then looked up at them. "Alright. Now that you’re finally done cuddling and... doing whatever you were doing—training resumes."
He glanced at Erlin. "And you..."
"Me?" Erlin blinked.
"Yes, you." Shelby gave a wry smile. "You’re going to lead us to the Celestial Wolf King. If you do well, I might consider letting you come to Earth."
Erlin raised a brow, unimpressed. "Even if you don’t want me, I’ll still follow my husband."
"Erlin," Zane interrupted quickly, shooting her a warning glance. "Don’t talk like that. Senior Shelby always keeps his word. We should listen to him."
Then he winked at her, discreetly gesturing toward the tattoo on his left palm.
Erlin instantly understood and chuckled. "Apologies, Brother Shelby. I spoke out of turn. It won’t happen again."
Shelby shrugged. "Sure, sure. No big deal. Just get us moving."
"Before that..." Erlin raised her hand.
Zane and Shelby both turned curiously.
With a graceful motion, Erlin chanted softly, and the entire mountain behind them—the one with the cottage—shrank rapidly, crumbling into glowing dust. That dust condensed into a single object... a radiant, regal crown. It floated gently onto Erlin’s head.
Zane stared wide-eyed. Shelby almost dropped his marrow paste.
"That’s... that’s a dimensional treasure," Shelby muttered, breathless. "A full mountain shrunk into a wearable crown. Girl, do you even know how valuable that thing is?"
Erlin just smiled proudly. "Of course I do. It’s my dowry."
Zane swallowed. "Uh, Erlin... can we maybe study that crown? Just for a little bit?"
Shelby leaned forward eagerly.
But Erlin shook her head. "Later. Let’s find the Wolf King first. Then we can play with shiny things." frёewebηovel.cѳm
Shelby sighed dramatically. "You’re the boss, princess."
With Erlin leading the way, the trio began their march through the northeastern quadrant of the forest.
