My Celestial Ascension-Chapter 929: Vampire Customs
Inside the guest room of Ashveil Castle, Anna Grace and the others were quietly observing Yuan's obvious advance toward Isolde. They had all expected this outcome after witnessing how Isolde had behaved around him earlier.
'That Vampire Countess actually moved faster than Nerith…My new daughter-in-law is quite bold to bring Yuan into her room,' Anna Grace thought with an amused smirk.
"It seems Princess Nerith has been outpaced by Isolde…" Mireya said with a wide grin as she withdrew her Divine Sense.
Everything was already clear to her now; there was no need to keep watching. Yuan was thoroughly occupied, and she had no intention of interrupting him.
"What do you mean by that, Lady Mireya?" Nerith asked, confused by her remark.
With a teasing smile, Mireya looked directly at Nerith and said, "I mean your relationship with Yuan. Don't you like him as well?"
"What?!" Nerith was completely caught off guard, her face instantly flushing bright red.
"I-I…uh…I don't know what you're talking about…" she stammered, her voice trembling with embarrassment.
Truthfully, she herself did not fully understand her feelings. She couldn't confidently claim that she loved him, yet every time she looked at him or thought of him, her heart would race uncontrollably.
"Come now, Princess Nerith. There's no need to hide it from us. We already know how you feel about our husband," Kitsura said playfully, her expression full of mischief.
"Yes, there's no point denying it. It's quite obvious to us," Julie added with a knowing smile.
"Oh? So Princess Nerith is in love with the young master…What an interesting turn of events," Selvariel giggled softly.
Nerith's face grew even redder, and she couldn't bring herself to meet their gazes. She felt as though she wanted to dig a hole and hide inside it.
'This is so embarrassing…Now everyone knows…What am I supposed to do?!' she cried inwardly, mortified beyond words.
The teasing continued, and Nerith could only endure it in silence, far too flustered to respond.

Outside, the moon hung beautifully in the sky as Yuan and Isolde remained together beneath its silver light, the quiet night bearing witness to their moment.
The kiss had ended some time ago, and Isolde had gradually relaxed in his presence. Being close to him now felt natural, almost instinctive.
The earlier awkwardness had vanished. For the first time in her life, she felt something unfamiliar yet comforting—being cherished.
Yuan sat down and gently pulled her onto his lap, wrapping an arm around her waist while she rested one arm around his neck.
"I never imagined that I would fall for someone and find myself in his embrace all in the same day…It feels unreal," she murmured, lightly lifting his chin as her crimson eyes met his.
Yuan chuckled softly. "You know, I once had a fantasy about having a vampire as my wife. Looks like I've made it come true."
"Don't joke about such things during a moment like this, Yuan," Isolde said, lightly tapping his chest, though she was smiling.
"I'm not joking," he replied before placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.
After a brief pause, she spoke again, her voice softer but steadier. "Since I've chosen to stand by your side…it's only natural that we make it official."
"In our vampire custom, we are required to drink each other's blood to become husband and wife. However, since you are a human, you cannot drink my blood, though I can drink yours," she explained, staring at his neck with an intense gaze, as if barely restraining herself from biting him.
"I see…I've read about such customs in books, but I never thought them to be true," Yuan muttered, clearly surprised. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"It is true. We vampires are quite different from the other races of this world, and our traditions are vastly different as well," she replied calmly.
Yuan nodded, then after a moment of thought said, "However, you cannot drink my blood. At least, not right now—it would kill you."
"And why is that?" She looked at him in confusion, unable to understand how drinking his blood could possibly harm her.
Yuan took a deep breath and met her gaze with a faint smile. "What I'm about to tell you must not leave this room. Not a single word."
He retrieved a yellow talisman from his system storage, one imbued with a small concealment formation meant to block any sound from escaping.
"What is this?" Isolde asked, studying the talisman with curiosity.
She could sense a faint trace of Spiritual Energy coming from it, something entirely unfamiliar to her.
"It's a Rank-2 talisman. It contains a minor concealment array. I'm simply taking precautions, because what I'm about to reveal could shake this entire continent," Yuan explained before activating it.
"Does such a thing even exist in this world?" Isolde muttered in disbelief as she felt an invisible barrier form around them.
"There are many things in this world that seem unbelievable at first," Yuan said gently. "But once you understand them, they become quite ordinary."
"This talisman is one of those things. It is a treasure created by cultivators—though it can only be used once."
"T-This is unbelievable…I've never seen anything like it before. I thought Qi was only something we used to strengthen our bodies or enhance our weapons," Isolde said, feeling as if her entire understanding of the world had been overturned.
After taking a moment to steady herself, she asked, "Then…what exactly is a cultivator?"
"A cultivator is someone who has broken their mortal shackles and stepped onto the path toward immortality, defying the heavens themselves," Yuan replied.
"A cultivator can possess the strength to split the sky with a sword or divide the seas. As their cultivation deepens, both their power and lifespan grow. Living for hundreds of thousands—or even millions—of years is no longer a dream." He spoke softly, gently stroking her crimson hair.
"What?! Are you telling me the truth?" She stared at him, utterly stunned.
"Of course. Why would I lie to you?" Yuan smiled and nodded. "Cultivators can traverse space, pluck stars with their hands, and even destroy entire planets with a single strike. Many have done so."
Isolde was left speechless. She felt as though she had lived her entire life in ignorance, like someone who had never stepped beyond a cave.
The idea of beings capable of crossing space, seizing stars, or shattering worlds sounded impossible—yet she could not dismiss his words.
"If two powerful cultivators were to fight," Yuan continued seriously, "an entire world could collapse beneath their power."
Isolde took a long moment to absorb everything. The sheer scale of what he described filled her with both awe and fear.
Finally, she looked at him with a grave expression and asked,
"Are you…a cultivator?"
