My CEO Ex: Let Me Go.-Chapter 188
Sophie’s POV
The tour guide peeked into the open tent, confirming it was empty. "Did she take her phone?"
"No!"
Vivienne’s phone was still lying inside the tent.
"Could she have gone into the woods to use the restroom?" the tour guide suggested.
The driver and the others gathered around.
An older man reassured us, "Let’s not panic. We’ll wait here for a bit. If she hasn’t come back in ten minutes, then we’ll go look for her."
Just then, Dylan walked over and offered his theory. "Her phone’s here. Maybe she went to the restroom and got confused, then came back and entered the wrong tent."
The person who took Vivienne must have been one of the tour group members. The tour guide had quietly counted everyone earlier, and everyone was accounted for. Vivienne had definitely been hidden inside one of the tents.
The tour guide nodded. "Let’s search the tents for now. She might’ve just gone into the wrong one."
Everyone started helping out, each person checking their own tent. After a while, everyone shook their heads.
I was on the verge of panic. "What should we do? How could she just disappear like this?"
"Could she have tripped on the way to the restroom and knocked herself out?" someone suggested.
The tour guide thought for a moment, then said, "Alright, you all stay here and rest. A few of us will head into the woods to search."
Along with the tour guide, the driver, and an older man, three young people volunteered to go look, and I followed.
The group searched for over half an hour but found no sign of her. It was unlikely she could have gone any farther—Vivienne couldn’t have walked that far just to use the restroom.
I was close to tears. "Should we call the police?"
The tour guide, sensing something wasn’t right, nodded. "If it’s this strange, we should. After all, if something happens to a tourist, I’m responsible."
Just then, my phone rang. I glanced at the screen—it was Alexander calling.
I immediately answered, my voice filled with anxiety. "Hello... You bastard... um, Alexander, Vivienne’s missing!"
"She’s with me," came Alexander’s low voice, sounding as though he was holding something back.
I let out a relieved breath, but then furrowed my brow and asked, "How...?"
"Listen to me first. Vivienne’s been drugged. You need to call the police immediately. Keep all the food she’s eaten. Don’t worry, she’s with me and she’s safe."
Though I hated Alexander, I couldn’t help but trust him when he said Vivienne was safe—there was no doubt in my mind.
I ended the call and told the tour guide to contact the police.
Alexander had said Vivienne was drugged, so I carefully studied the expressions of everyone present.
When they heard the police would be contacted, Dylan’s face shifted slightly. Without drawing attention, he moved toward the bonfire.
I noticed him, quietly sitting in the spot where Vivienne had been earlier. Her used cup and utensils, along with the beer she had been drinking, were left beside it.
Seeing this, Dylan seemed to panic but dared not approach.
The Great Ocean Road was a popular tourist destination, and every small town along the route had a visitor center.
The Apollo Bay visitor center wasn’t far from here, and the police arrived on the scene quickly.
Alexander’s POV
At this moment, on the helicopter, Vivienne clung to me like an octopus.
“It’s so hot...”
She murmured softly, her hand slipping under my shirt, her fingers tracing over my firm muscles.
Mmm... It feels so good...
But it’s not enough.
Unaware, she tugged at my shirt, and the top two buttons popped open. Vivienne pressed her face directly against my chest.
The woman I’d been thinking about constantly, her delicate body twisting in my arms—I could barely hold myself back. A fiery, primal urge surged within me, and for a moment, I almost lost control, wanting to take her right there.
But then, the image of Vivienne’s tear-filled eyes from yesterday flashed through my mind—when she’d scolded me. I couldn’t take that step while she wasn’t fully aware of what was happening. I was afraid of hurting her, afraid she’d hate me even more.
Earlier, when I saw what happened in the tent, I was on the edge of exploding with rage. If not for the voice of reason reminding me that Vivienne needed medical attention, I might’ve torn Dylan apart right then and there!
Vivienne always pushes me away, and this time... if I hadn’t been there, I shudder to think what might’ve happened.
Vivienne’s hand started to roam again.
She was at it again.
A vein throbbed in my temple, and my patience was wearing thin. I gripped Vivienne’s wrist firmly, my voice low and strained. “Vivienne, behave. We’re almost at the hospital.”
Vivienne let out a soft, unconscious hum, her body shifting restlessly.
I froze.
Her delicate, pale hand slipped free from my grasp and began to wander across my body. At the same time, her other hand desperately tore at her clothes. “It’s so hot... I’m burning up... I can’t take it...”
It was already summer, and she was dressed lightly. With one pull, her neckline gaped wide, revealing more than she probably intended.
Vivienne didn’t seem to notice. Instead, she grabbed my hand and pressed it to her chest.
A buzzing sound filled my mind as my fingers seemed to act on their own, tightening around her.
“Mm...”
Vivienne’s lips parted, a soft, teasing moan slipping from between her teeth, filling my ears and clouding my thoughts with desire.
I struggled to keep my composure, forcing myself to speak to the helicopter pilot. “How much longer?”“Twenty minutes to Geelong,” the driver replied.
The area was mostly small towns, with Geelong being the nearest big city.
Vivienne slowly cracked one eye open, groggy and disoriented. “Alexander?”
“Mm, it’s me.” I held Vivienne’s hand tightly.
“I’m so hot... please, hurry...” Vivienne murmured, struggling to free herself from my grip, tugging at my shirt.
In that moment, in Vivienne’s eyes, my face was the cure.
A flash of lightning seemed to strike my mind, leaving everything else blank, and all the blood in my body surged.
My throat tightened, beads of sweat forming on my forehead as I gripped Vivienne’s hand even harder. “Vivienne, just hang on a little longer. The hospital’s right up ahead!”
“I feel terrible... please help me...” Vivienne whimpered, tears welling in her eyes.
This was torture, both for my heart and my body.
I shut my eyes, the inner conflict almost unbearable.
Vivienne had lost all sense of reason, her weak arms clinging to my shoulders, her lips trembling as she bit them. I tilted my head, trying to avoid her, but she shifted, biting down on my neck.
I couldn’t hold back any longer. My large hand gripped her chin, and I leaned down to kiss her. With my other hand, I slid it beneath the hem of her skirt...
