My Cold and Ruthless CEO Wife-Chapter 23: The Divine Doctor
"Doctor... please save me."
The crowd watched the gang leader kneeling, his head lowered.
The entire place fell silent. Even the surrounding vendors stopped shouting.
They looked at Long Tian, who was sitting relaxed.
Was he truly a divine doctor?
They found it hard to believe, but looking at the humbled gang leader, they had no choice but to accept it.
"Boss, are you sure what he is saying is the truth? What if he’s trying to swindle you?" One of his minions tried to pull him up, seeing that their reputation was being ruined in front of the crowd.
PAH!
The boss suddenly slapped the man, and everyone was shocked by the leader’s attitude. The man held his cheek, as the slap was so strong that it left a mark on his face.
"Don’t anger the divine doctor, or you will face my wrath," the leader shouted, his behavior resembling that of a devoted follower.
He turned to Long Tian. "Divine Doctor, don’t mind his words. He’s ignorant."
The symptoms that Long Tian mentioned, nobody knew. He hadn’t told anyone, not even those close to him.
Only heaven and hell were his witnesses.
This made him believe in Long Tian’s words. And the thought that he would die in three months struck fear into his heart.
Long Tian watched all of this with amusement.
"I only said your symptoms; I didn’t say I would heal you. Also, what benefits would it bring to me? And why would I try to help someone as heinous as you?" Long Tian chuckled in amusement.
The leader froze at this unexpected reply. His body shivered.
As he wanted to talk, his breathing became short as he spat out a mouthful of blood. He felt all strength leave him.
This caused fear and panic as he scrambled before Long Tian.
"Divine Doctor, I promise to turn a new leaf, and also..."
He brought out a bank card.
"This is a gift from me to you; it contains one million."
Long Tian looked at the gang leader. He was a bit wiser by presenting a gift.
His minions looked at their leader. They tried to stop him, but with one glance from him, they held back.
"I will take this as your consultation fee." Long Tian smiled faintly as he collected it.
"Lie down on the table," Long Tian instructed.
Even though the table was uncomfortable to lie on, the leader followed the instructions.
"I hope you turn a new leaf, or you will regret it if you don’t do so," Long Tian coldly said, pressuring the leader with a fraction of his killing intent.
The leader nodded quickly, feeling as if hell was upon him.
Long Tian’s expression returned to being welcoming and calm.
He then asked the leader to take off his top clothes, the crowd curious about what Long Tian was doing.
He made use of his Mystic Dragon Eye, and all the leader’s organs were exposed under it.
Most divine doctor techniques require qi, but there were still some he could make use of in his current state.
Long Tian calmly took out nine silver needles.
The crowd watched in silence.
One needle pierced the crown of the man’s head.
Another landed between his brows.
His hands moved like flowing water as the remaining needles pierced the chest, abdomen, wrist, hand, knee, and ankle.
In less than three breaths, nine needles were placed.
The boss, who had been expecting a surge of pain, instead felt comfortable as his body relaxed. His mouth involuntarily let out a low moan.
This was the Nine Heavenly Meridian Sealing Technique.
The gang leader’s body trembled violently.
Black blood slowly seeped from the needle points.
He began to sweat heavily; his breathing stabilized as he spat out a mouthful of black blood.
Long Tian removed the nine needles and said, "You are healed."
The crowd saw this and began to doubt Long Tian.
He had only taken out some needles and placed them on the gang leader. Within a few minutes, he was done.
Even doctors would spend a minimum of thirty minutes treating their patients. When one isn’t using secrecy, how was it possible to finish within a few minutes?
The gang leader slowly stood up. His body felt lighter than before, and even his breathing was steady.
He tried exerting his body. He felt no pain nor shortness of breath.
He knelt before Long Tian in joy.
"Thanks a lot, Divine Doctor."
The crowd was surprised by this unexpected turn of events.
Was he truly a divine doctor?
Did he truly heal the gang leader?
These questions remained in their minds.
"Don’t worry, I just did my job." Long Tian chuckled.
"This is an extra one million as my token of gratitude." The gang leader brought out another bank card.
Long Tian raised his eyebrows. It seemed this gang leader wasn’t a small gang leader.
Bringing out such an amount of money wasn’t easy.
Long Tian collected it and smiled. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Help me patronize more customers."
"Sure," the gang leader laughed.
"Don’t forget my words." Long Tian’s eyes turned cold for a moment.
The leader nodded, signaling his men to leave.
Everyone watched as they left. The leader had joy on his face.
"Boss, is it true that you are truly healed?" One of his minions couldn’t help asking. Everything that happened felt surreal to them.
From their boss’s unknown illness to his sudden recovery.
"Of course. If you know you have any illness, or if your family members have one, I recommend them to this divine doctor."
They nodded at his words.
Long Tian heard their conversation, his lips slowly curling into a smirk.
He glanced at the expressions of the crowd. His aim had been achieved.
He had now planted a seed of anticipation in their hearts. Even though they didn’t believe it completely, they would still take the risk to try it out.
Within an hour, Long Tian had healed more than ten patients, collecting his consultation fee of one million each, or something worth that price.
He wasn’t a saint who would do it for free, or he would simply be taken for granted.
Even though he was still fair, it depended on the nature of the illness.
Customers continued to increase, even with the high consultation fee.
