My Computer Leads to an Instance Dungeon-Chapter 188 - 157: Spatial Equipment! Silver Moon Treasure Box and Golden Jade Pot
There was finally some progress on buying the guns, and he could see a glimmer of hope.
He looked at the Golden Wine Pot again.
The vessel wasn't a narrow-necked carafe; it was more like a military canteen. It had a screw-top lid that you could drink directly from, making it remarkably similar in design to the personal flasks Fang Zhen had seen in the modern world.
"That's the Silver Moon Jewelry Box," Perrington said, his eyes on the silver disc pendant and the Golden Wine Pot in Fang Zhen's hands. "And that's the Holy Water Bottle."
"You recognize them?" Fang Zhen asked.
"Yes. When I had just come of age, I visited Baron von Klei's Territory. The previous Baron once boasted to me about these two Extraordinary Items," Perrington explained.
"The Silver Moon Jewelry Box is a wondrous Extraordinary Item that can store things. It can also determine your location based on the moonlight," Perrington said, pointing to the silver disc. He then turned his gaze to the Golden Wine Pot. "The Holy Water Bottle has a magical ability of its own. It transforms any potable liquid you pour into it into Holy Water, which can restore Spiritual Power and stamina. No matter what you put in, as long as it's drinkable, it will become restorative Holy Water."
"They say the longer a liquid stays inside the Holy Water Bottle, the more potent the resulting Holy Water becomes. It is also said to have a suppressive effect against certain malevolent entities."
"Sounds pretty good." Fang Zhen looked at the Golden Wine Pot, liking it more and more.
His current methods for replenishing Extraordinary Power—that is, his Spiritual Power or Power of Curse Seal—were either slow cultivation techniques like guided meditation or, more simply, sleeping.
He didn't understand the principle behind it, but a full night's sleep of seven or eight hours would restore most of his Extraordinary Power.
While this was a reliable way to restore his Extraordinary Power and replenish his reserves, it was ultimately a bit too slow.
The Holy Water Bottle, with its ability to create Holy Water, was the perfect solution for his need to recover his power quickly.
Having found these treasures and Extraordinary Items, Dalia honored their agreement and handed the Silver Moon Jewelry Box and the Holy Water Bottle over to Fang Zhen.
Receiving the Silver Moon Jewelry Box had already exceeded Fang Zhen's expectations; the Holy Water Bottle was a complete and welcome surprise.
He accepted the two Extraordinary Items and, as was his habit, promptly renamed them.
He didn't know why the Silver Moon Jewelry Box was called a "jewelry box," since he had no intention of storing jewelry in it, so he renamed it the Silver Moon Treasure Box. As for the Holy Water Bottle, he gave it a name more in line with Xia Country's culture: the Golden Jade Pot.
Now that he had the Silver Moon Treasure Box, Fang Zhen's thoughts had already flown back to the modern world. He was ready to head to America and purchase the firearms he so desired.
But before he could return, he had some promises to keep.
The following day, Dalia and Viscount Perrington worked together to consolidate the soldiers from Baron von Klei's Territory. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Viscount Perrington had brought one hundred and eighty soldiers with him. He lent one hundred of his best men to Dalia—truly elite troops, which included four fully trained Full-Armor Knight Attendants.
He called it "lending" soldiers, but Fang Zhen could tell that Perrington was actually gifting them to Dalia to serve as the core of her army.
'Perrington is a genuinely good man, a rare find,' Fang Zhen thought. 'His devotion to Dalia is unquestionable.'
'It's probably because he's old and has no heirs. He seems to have lost his appetite for power, women, and money. He's on the final stretch of his life, with nothing left to cling to.'
'Dalia is like a spiritual successor to him. He always intended to have her inherit his family's legacy.'
Fang Zhen felt his assessment was pretty accurate.
It made one reflect that there were still good people in the world—or at least, people who were exceptionally good to a select few. Dalia was lucky to have met one.
With Perrington's help, Dalia integrated over a hundred of the former Baron von Kleist's soldiers into her forces.
Including the soldiers in the Ashton Territory, Dalia's military strength now stood at four hundred and ninety.
Her army now surpassed the size of Montagu's forces at their peak.
Fang Zhen found it all rather interesting. 'Who would have thought?' he mused. 'Montagu was a tyrant and Von Klei was an insidious schemer who calculated every move, yet in the end, it was Dalia who profited, reaping the greatest spoils in the entire region.'
'Of course, my own role in this can't be discounted. Without me, Dalia would have walked a very different path in life, and the neighboring territories would not have their current masters.'
After consolidating the soldiers, Dalia left a few trusted aides and a portion of her troops to maintain order in the Von Klei territory, then prepared to return to the Ashton Territory.
Perrington acted just like a loving father seeing his child off on a journey. After delivering the soldiers, he took his remaining men and returned to his own lands.
「That evening.」
Dalia's army arrived near Redstone Town.
The army was large, and the majority of the soldiers would be led by experienced Knight's Squires on a night march back to the Ashton Territory.
Dalia, however, remained behind with a contingent of elite troops. This was partly for them to rest, but also because Fang Zhen needed to deliver the trade goods to her.
Fang Zhen told Dalia to make camp and rest while he rode his motorcycle to the Light Gate and passed through.
After passing through the Light Gate, Fang Zhen found himself back in his home.
He quickly found his phone to check his messages.
The company sales representative had already sent a reply.
The goods Fang Zhen had requested had all been procured.
The representative had been very efficient. All the goods had been loaded into two small trucks, which were now parked in the underground garage of his residential complex.
The truck and cargo bay keys had been left in a self-service locker at the property management office, and the pickup code had been sent to his phone.
Fang Zhen immediately got up, changed his clothes, and went to get to work.
He found the keyring in the pickup locker at the property management office, then headed to the underground garage to find the trucks.
In the underground garage were two light-duty box trucks, the kind used for local deliveries. When Fang Zhen opened the cargo bays, he saw both were packed to the brim.
The representative had been quite thoughtful. Knowing he might have to do some unloading, they had left a dolly, some basic moving tools, and even work clothes and gloves.
Fang Zhen looked at the two truckloads of goods and let out a long sigh.
'This isn't something I can easily delegate to someone else. Looks like I'll have to do the hard work myself.'
'I'm not just moving cargo,' he told himself. 'I'm moving Gold Ropes.'
With this mental suggestion, his motivation surged.
He rolled up his sleeves and got to work.
...
「Several hours later.」
As night began to fall, Fang Zhen had already finished transporting all the goods to the forest north of Redstone Town.
