My Evil Boy Toy-Chapter 261: Alter Two
Chapter 261: Alter Two
I went to the nearby cafeteria to wait for Alora. I decided to talk to her about Jayden’s condition so I could completely understand what I had to deal with.
We made love the whole night and I felt really happy that even though it was his other self we finally connected.
But when I woke up, the Jayden that night disappeared. He was standing by the window without any clothes on. He was looking at something outside so he didn’t feel my presence.
"Why are you up so early?" I asked while I hugged him from behind.
He was startled and I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my hands and pushed me. I almost fell on the floor but I managed to stand firm.
I frowned when he turned around and I saw that he had tears in his eyes.
"W-Who are you? What did you do to me?" He asked.
His lips were trembling and his voice stuttered. He looked so scared that his head turned to see where he was. He was like a little boy who got lost and was left alone in an unknown place.
"Jayden, my love. It’s me. Peggy, your wife." I said.
He began sobbing and sat on the floor as if he couldn’t do anything but cry. I rushed to his side and tapped him on the shoulder to comfort him.
"M-My name is not Jayden. And I’m too young to have a wife." He said, crying.
My heart felt so broken hearing those words from him and seeing him so hopeless. I felt his body tremble and when I tried to hug him, he crawled away from me.
As I looked at him crouching in the corner of our bedroom, I bit my lip to stop myself from crying. I had to be strong for him. I walked to get closer and crouched in front of him.
"Hey, love. Don’t be scared. I’m not going to hurt you. Please trust me." I said.
He looked into my eyes so I smiled to show him he could trust me. Then I did the one thing I hate the most.
"W-What did you—" He was unable to finish his sentence when he fell unconscious because of the tranquillizer I had injected into his neck.
Then I cried. I covered my mouth with my hand so nothing would come out. It was a silent cry. I felt that everything was falling apart and that my heart shattered once more.
I mustered my strength to put him on the bed and tucked him in. I realized it would not help if I cry. I love Jayden so much and I wanted to help him with his illness.
I sent a message to Alora and then rushed into the bathroom to take a bath and prepare.
Now, I was waiting for her in a nearby cafeteria so I could ask questions about DID.
After almost an hour of waiting, a black Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the cafeteria and four men in black suits came in the car’s door.
One of the men opened the door and a girl with silver hair and cold eyes came out. Everyone’s jaw dropped and was stunned by her beauty.
I shook my head when I saw Alora walk towards me.
"What?" She asked.
I chuckled. "You attract too much attention."
"It’s not my problem." Alora answered in a cold tone.
She sat down across from me and ordered a cup of coffee. Then she stared at me with those cold eyes of hers. She was quiet for a moment and it made me uncomfortable.
"You looked stressed." She said.
I sighed. "Jayden switched for the second time. And it was just yesterday that he was another person. It already happened twice in just two days."
Our order arrived and Alora took a sip of her coffee after the waiter left. She frowned when she didn’t like how it tasted so she added a cube of sugar and then took another sip. When she was satisfied, she put down the cup gently and then stared back at me.
"You said you want to understand his illness and what was going on inside his mind. I can tell you things about what I had been dealing with, but I think you also need to talk to Luke." Alora said.
I understand what she meant. Alora was not the right person to ask about how to deal with a person with a dissociative identity disorder. Luke was the one I should seek advice about it.
"I know but I want to know and understand first what’s going on." I answered.
Alora nodded. "Jayden has been asking me about my alters. He was scared that he was beginning to create more identities." freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"L-Like what you did?" I asked.
Alora nodded again. "When I created another identity, it wasn’t intentional. I was always afraid that someone would hurt me and Luke. I felt like no one could protect myself and my family but only a stronger person. So I created her."
"Her? Are you talking about Camila?" I asked.
Alora shook her head. "Camila is someone I created to stop me from killing so she was also my protector because of that. I’m talking about myself."
I frowned. "I’m sorry, Alora but I’m confused."
Alora chuckled. "You called me because Jayden said the one you spent time with since high school and the man you married was also an alter. He’s like me. The one in front of you is not the real me, but when I kill someone, that’s the real me. Me and the real me contradict each other most of the time, but together we’re stronger. We were able to protect Luke, Lucas and Alira" She paused to take another sip of her coffee.
"Jayden created the other him because he wanted to protect himself. He couldn’t trust anyone after his mother’s murder. He was traumatised again when you lost Mirea and almost lost you. He’s scared, Peggy. His fear of losing someone is greater than you could ever imagine and the only thing he knows to ignore that feeling is to create alters."
