My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 48: Friend Or Foe
No one expected that Ace was hiding something. He didn’t have only one photo, and she remembered Caden told her that she was being stalked. Was Ace one of them? She thought inwardly.
Ace’s face turned red, both from humiliation and anger. His face, which looked so meek when they met, became somewhat different.
"That’s gross. You’re a stalker." Vira murmured.
Lea and Cassy, who were sitting beside Ace, moved away. They couldn’t believe that they had been hanging out with a stalker.
Justin and his other two friends were also surprised and couldn’t say a word. It didn’t look like they knew something about it.
She sat back in her chair because she felt her knees shaking. Not from fear, but from rage. She trusted the guy and thought he was decent. She then looked at Samantha, who couldn’t meet her gaze.
"Did you know about it?" She asked.
Samantha suddenly beamed at her.
"I did send some photos to him. He saw your picture on my phone and asked me about you. I never intended to put you in danger." Samantha answered
"But Sam, sending him my pictures? You already know I already have a fiance." She said with gritted teeth.
"Oh come on, Alira! You know very well that nobody believed you before. No one could laugh at you because you’re a Wilson! Who would have thought that your fiance was real!"
She didn’t answer. She couldn’t because deep inside she knew Samantha was right. She always bragged about Caden to her friends and with every rejection she made, she told the guys she was already engaged. But she knew they were laughing behind her back.
"Samantha, you’re out of line." Cassy commented.
Samantha laughed. "Why? Because I thought I was doing the right thing? They were talking about her. Lea, you know that!"
She frowned. She looked at Lea with a confused face. Lea was stunned when Samantha called out her name.
Lea sighed when she saw her confusion.
"Alira, two weeks before the prince came back, we heard some girls talking about you. Do you remember when you rejected the captain of the basketball team?"
"Who? Tyler?" She asked.
Lea nodded. "Well, he couldn’t accept your rejection, and mostly the reason he got rejected. He actually told some girls that you have an imaginary boyfriend and that you’re crazy. He was spreading some rumor that he was the one who rejected you because you’re insane."
She was surprised. She didn’t know that something like that happened.
"I had no idea. I never heard a rumor about me."
Lea glanced at Samantha. "Before it spread throughout the campus, Samantha confronted Tyler and the girls. She threatened them that she will tell Lucas about it, so I guess they got scared and stopped talking about you."
She suddenly felt guilty for accusing and doubting her friend. She wanted to scold herself for being protected again by her friends.
"S–Sam, I’m sorry." She said.
Samantha didn’t answer, and she understood that she hurt her feelings. Caden held her hand and smiled. Before everything else, they should deal with Ace first.
Caden gently waved his other hand and five men in black suits came forward. One of them was Rock.
"Take him," Caden ordered.
Ace didn’t struggle when Caden’s men escorted him outside the restaurant.
"Where are you taking him?" It was Justin who asked.
Caden stared at Samantha’s boyfriend.
"I suggest we do this quietly. I just need to ask him a few more questions. I can’t let him go because he might be a threat to my future queen. If he could prove that he has no intention of harming Alira, then I will let him go in one piece." Caden coldly said.
She saw Justin gulp. "And what if he couldn’t?"
Caden smirked. "Then, I guess you have to prepare some flowers for him."
Justin and the others looked so scared. Fear was written all over their faces. She couldn’t tell if Caden was just kidding. But she knew what he was capable of so there was a possibility that Ace’s life would soon come to an end.
"I think we’re done for today. I actually had fun." Caden smiled.
Lucas shook his head. "I’ll go ahead. I need to drop by at Wilson Tower."
He then glanced at Brie. "Are you coming?"
Brie’s face lit up. She looked excited and happy because it was the first time Lucas asked her to come.
She felt glad that Lucas and Brie might have a chance to be together. Caden was right to pair up the two. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Justin and his friends took a cab after bidding them farewell. She wasn’t sure if they would meet them again, but she smiled at them to at least give them hope about Ace.
"Wait!" She grabbed Samantha by the wrist when she saw her following Justin.
"Sam, can we talk?" She asked.
Samantha nodded and told Justin to go without her. Lea and the others joined them in a coffee shop.
"I’m really sorry, Sam. To tell you the truth, I felt like you changed ever since Caden came back. I was jealous because you were always beside him." She finally said.
Samantha breathe heavily and pouted. "Well, I honestly have a crush on your boyfriend. Who doesn’t? Even Cassy has a huge crush on him."
"Hey!" Cassy blushed.
"You do?" She asked while glancing at her friends.
Samantha nodded. "Don’t get us wrong. We already know he’s off-limits and I’m sorry if I acted like I was flirting. It’s just that, you know, he’s a real prince, and girls would always have fantasies about princes."
She nodded in agreement and then looked at Caden, who was quietly reading a magazine. He heard everything, but he didn’t comment on their conversation.
"I think only Lea has a different taste in men. She likes Lucas." Vira giggled
She smiled and then realized Vira’s comment.
"So you’re telling me you also have a crush on my boyfriend?"
Vira forced herself to smile. "Oops! Sorry."
Then they laughed. She really couldn’t blame her friends. Caden grew up hot and gorgeous. If only her friends could see him half-naked. His tattoos didn’t lessen his charisma. In fact, it added appeal to his aura.
Her face turned red when she remembered how he looked without his clothes on. Her friends saw her blushing cheeks and teased her.
"So, you really did it with him, huh?" Samantha grinned.
