Chapter 59: A Fight

Lucas was hesitant to accept Caden’s challenge. He knew his friend was good at fighting and maybe a better fighter than he was before. He couldn’t just risk losing the headquarters. But if he would reject him, it would also ruin his reputation, so he had no other choice but to accept it.

Lucas exhaled and took the knife from the floor. And looking at his sister’s fiance, he still couldn’t believe that the boy they knew twelve years ago was the same man who had tattoos all over his body.

Lucas wanted the best for Alira. He wished for her happiness, and only Caden could give that to her. So even though he was against Caden’s position as the Boss of the Forelli Clan, all he could do was support him for his sister’s sake.

Caden had a wide grin on his face. He unbuttoned his shirt and took it off, exposing his tattoos. Everyone could now clearly see all the markings on Caden’s body—the rose tattoo on his neck, the skull with wings tattoo on his chest, and the dragon tattoo on his arm.

"I accept your challenge. If you want me to make you bleed, then so be it." Lucas said.

Caden laughed. "Let’s start then."

As soon as Caden said those words, Lucas ran toward him and whirled the knife to his face. Caden wasn’t surprised, though. He was smiling, as if he was expecting Lucas’ attack.

Caden dodged and jumped backward. But Lucas didn’t stop striking him with the knife. However, Caden was faster than him.

Lucas tried to strike Caden on his arm, but the latter turned to the side, warding it off. Lucas was panting, but Caden was just grinning.

"Are you done?" Caden sneered.

Lucas gave him an icy glare, and once again, tried to cut Caden with the knife. But Lucas didn’t expect a counterattack.

Caden dodged again, but this time he straightened his legs, landing a swift, forceful kick on Lucas’s face.

"Lucas!" Alira called out her brother’s name.

She couldn’t believe Lucas fell on the floor just after one kick from Caden. She wanted to run toward him, but Caden gawked at her with a brisk glare.

Her knees were shaking both from Lucas’s condition and the haughty stare she got from Caden. He wasn’t in his prince mode. He was the Mafia Boss. And being feared by the people around him was just normal for Caden.

Finally, Lucas moved and tried to stand up by using his arms. Caden walked closer, then leaned forward. He grabbed Lucas by his hair to level his face.

"Give me the headquarters, Lucas. And let me show you how to use it properly."

Lucas’s eyes were fuming with anger. He had a swollen right cheek and a cut lip on the side. It was humiliating for the heir of Wilson Group.

"Enough, Lucas. You can’t win against me. I’m not the same kid from twelve years ago. If we continue, I might really get serious."

Caden’s eyes had no remorse. The silver sparkles that used to light up his eyes were nowhere to be found. As if Lucas was looking at someone who had lost his soul.

After failing to win against Caden, they took Lucas to the infirmary. Brie accompanied and comforted him. Alira wanted to come, but she also wanted to confront Caden.

"What was that?" She almost yelled.

She and Caden stayed in one of the units after the fight, and she made sure that they were alone before making a scene. She didn’t want Caden’s men to see her whining.

"Your brother lost. That was it."

The coldness of Caden’s voice brought shivers down her spine.

"I saw that. But how can you take the headquarters from him? It was Dad’s present to him on our eighteenth birthday."

Caden shrugged his shoulders. "I don’t care."

"Can you at least tell me so I could understand?" She said in a low voice.

She heard Caden sigh. "Lucas needed it. I mean, taking something that burdened him. He’s been trying so hard to be like your father. He wanted to finish the project on his own and it’s beginning to weaken him. I took the headquarters so he could focus on more important matters."

She didn’t realize Lucas was having a crisis on his own. She was too busy with her personal life and didn’t even ask her brother if everything was okay.

"It’s not your fault. Your brother was so full of himself. He couldn’t accept that he can’t do it alone, so I have to force him to give the headquarters to me. But still, you already know that it wasn’t the only reason."

She nodded. "Yes. I figured it out when you challenge Lucas."

"Don’t worry. I’ll give it back to him once we settled everything. Did Brie agree with your offer?" Caden asked, which surprised her.

"Yes. But how did you know I would ask her?" She frowned.

Caden slightly smiled. "Just a hunch."

She didn’t say a word and walked to the kitchen to get some water. It startled her when she felt Caden’s arms around her waist, hugging her from behind.

"I’m at my limit." He muttered, burying his face in her nape.

"Did you really mean it? You told Lucas that you might get serious if he will continue to fight."

"Maybe. We’re in Willow Green. My men should fear me. If I will lose because Lucas is my friend, they won’t trust me." He said.

She turned to him and peered into his eyes.

"Your eyes. It’s not glowing." She mumbled.

"Then make it glow." He said.

She knew exactly what he wanted, so she clutched his neck and pulled him closer to him. As she pressed her lips against his, she slipped her other hand inside his pants.

He was already hard when she wrapped her warm hand around his dick. She was unsure how she managed to remove her underwear and how he pulled off his pants.

He hastily shoved his dick inside her, making her moan.

"If you moan louder, they’ll hear you. The walls in here are too thin, so you better keep quiet, princess. I don’t want them to hear your lovely moans." He said in a raspy voice.
