My Evil System-Chapter 23 Ugh . . . Minion?
?<ACTIVATE, Evil Heart>
<+5000 Evil Points rewarded to Host for activating Evil Heart the first time!>
Something was pulling me. Pushing me away into the very end of my consciousness. I felt like something was waking inside of me.
Something . . . that only wish to wreak destruction and carnage. A terrible affliction of bloodlust that shook my inner being.
And I saw it . . . me?
In his eyes, there was nothing but coldness. There was no empathy whatsoever, and he would show no mercy in pursuit of his goals.
'Go and wallow in your self despair.'
He pushed me aside, and I lost everything.
. . .
. . .
What a useless wimp. Taken advantage off by everyone he met. Trying to act good but couldn't even save himself. Couldn't even take care of a simple dog.
<It's a wolf, Host.>
I cracked my neck side to side and rubbed my wrist.
No matter.
With my AGI, I might outrun it.
But I didn't want to take the chance. It might catch me and finish me off while I showed it my back.
My DEF was high at this point, but it still managed to take a large chunk of my HP, meaning its STR must be high.
I poured all my newly acquired +11 000 EXP into DEF and STR.

RoOaArR!
That mutt must have lost its patience and wanted to end our bout as it leaped in the air, claw extending, canines barring.
Too bad for it. Its movement was so slow in my eyes.
I stepped back as it lunged, and I activated [Evil Strength]. With a quick snap of my hand, I delivered a lightning thwack over its head, and it crashed hard on the stone floor, hallowing the ground as its HP flashed red to 1.
I loved how everything was so easy. I thought as I cracked my wrist. If only that loser knew how to use the system, then this would never have happened in the first place.
<Host, that loser is still you.>
Shut up! I refused to acknowledge that guy as a part of me.
My head tilted to the side when the mutt uttered a weak growl. Its crimson slit eyes glared at me, unaccepting of its defeat.
Hmm . . . it's a pity to kill it.
I'd rather have it as a minion and gain the system's rewards than kill it and gain some kind of a fang or claw.
<And gil>
Sush!
I only have 70 MP left, which meant I had only one chance to convert it to my side.
"This would decide your fate," I said at the beast. "If you wanted to live, then be a nice dog and wag your tail for me."
I activated [Evil Minion], and the Crimson Wolf's body was enveloped in a foggy dark haze before forming into a luminous dim light and shattered into particles.
<CONGRATULATIONS! You have acquired a minion, CRIMSON WOLF!>
<Pease Name your Minion>
Hmm . . . I skimmed my jawline. "Minion 0."

The Crimson Wolf howled and rose to its height even though its HP was still flashing red. It lowered its head, ears and tail in a submissive form.
I nodded and checked its stats.

Hmm . . . its stats were indeed high, and I was even gladder to convert it to one of my minions than received some generic items that only sold for a couple of gils.
System, can its ATP grow?
<No. Your minions ATP, along with its skills and spells, will remain frozen at the time you made it into your minion>
How about if it died?
<It will remain dead forever>
Well . . . that's lame.
I really thought that they would just return to my home screen with 1 HP or something like those I played in the past.
< . . . >
Does the relationship of 70% pertain to its relationship with me?
<Host is correct.>
It's rather low.
Rather, my HP and MP were low too. It would be suicide if I continued further.
Would its HP and MP turn back to normal once I rested or consumed food? Could I give it food or potions to recover its health?
<Yes. Host can also let your minion back in the Minion Tab on the home screen, and they would automatically regain their health over time>
I see.
I pressed the Home icon in the [Minion] menu, and Minion 0 automatically disappeared from my sight and reappeared on my screen as pixels.
Huh . . . this is rather amusing. I thought before pondering my next move.
Even if I went back to the village, I didn't have the 1000 gil on me to rest the night in the Inn. And the remaining of my MP was only 20, and I couldn't perform [Fire] to roast some rabbits in the forest by that little amount of HP and MP left.
So the best course of action was for me to camp the night in the forest or areas with little to no monsters.
<As long as Host is sleeping, you will slowly recover your HP and MP>
I guess I should turn back and find a resting place.
Now that everything was settling down, I checked that [egg (?)] I acquired a while ago as I walked back to the exit.
‖ E G G (?) ‖
–– a mysterious egg that sometimes wiggled. I think it's about to hatch. 𝐟𝓇ℯ𝒆we𝒃𝘯𝒐νe𝑙.co𝚖
*waku waku!
–– keep it near you at all times.
‖ E N D ‖
What a vague description.
How about I eat it instead?
<NO!>
". . ."
< . . . >
Why were you so rattled? I never heard you so panicky before. Is there something special with this egg?
< . . . I suddenly miss the other side of you.>
"Scrambled raw egg then," I said and snatched the egg (?) from my inventory.
<W-WAIT!>
<That kind of egg is unique in the world. When it hatches, you'll acquire nothing but advantages!>
What kind of advantages? Do you know what will hatch in this egg?
<Even the system doesn't know what you'll get in the end. But only one in a million acquired an egg with a question mark. It's extremely rare.>
Hmm . . .
I returned the egg (?) back to my inventory and resumed walking down the winding path to the exit.
< Whew . . . >
