My Father Is Definitely Possessed-Chapter 151 - 122: No Fifth Grade, Want Sixth Grade?
Someone else was pitching their products to Li Changqing.
All sorts of bizarre items, truly broadening Li Changqing’s horizons.
"There are treasures in the black market, but there are mostly scammers. I’ve seen this trash many times, and they still haven’t managed to con anyone, so whatever these people recommend, you absolutely can’t trust it." Xue Qianbai glanced over and reminded Li Changqing.
"I understand."
Li Changqing felt grateful to have someone as experienced as Xue Qianbai guiding him; it truly made things much easier. If he had come alone, he might have been fooled by one or two of them.
After all, things he had never seen before were really hard to tell if they were real.
Looking at Xue Qianbai’s back, only two words came to mind.
Reliable.
As they walked a few more steps forward, another person came up to pitch something.
Much to Li Changqing’s shock, someone was actually selling pre-made food here!
That familiar box, that familiar packaging inside, it must have been bought from Evergreen Commerce Association!
"Come take a look at this treasure! It’s a delicious dish made by an ancient culinary god, with a history of several hundred years, but just recently unsealed. You only need to heat it and it’s ready to eat. Not only is the taste exceptional, but it also has the god’s blessing. Eating it can extend your life by twenty years and even improve your constitution, turning the untalented into geniuses!"
"Now I’m virtually giving it away for ten thousand silver per serving of Godly Cooked Fish!"
Listening to that person spew nonsense with all the spittle, Li Changqing was stunned.
This person should be taken back and cultivated as a talent at the association.
A single bite can extend life by twenty years?
And it can improve cultivation constitution?
If pre-made food was that amazing, I’d eat it every day myself.
Li Changqing felt this was less credible than the things previously pitched, and the ancient culinary god stuff was just too exaggerated.
Even fools wouldn’t believe it.
Just as Li Changqing was about to ignore him, he saw Xue Qianbai earnestly approach the vendor: "Does it really have such effects? Only ten thousand?"
"Don’t buy it!"
Li Changqing never expected Xue Qianbai would almost fall for it.
He seemed aloof but was a bit gullible after all.
Li Changqing pulled Xue Qianbai away forcibly.
Even though the black market was chaotic, Li Changqing still gained a lot of knowledge.
The deeper they went into the valley, the more interesting things they saw.
And not just the Ghost Race, Li Changqing also saw many races with peculiar appearances.
Small shops even appeared on the cliffside.
Xue Qianbai led Li Changqing to a dilapidated shop hanging on the cliffside, looking as if it could fall off at any moment.
The shop was so worn that even the door was cracked.
But from inside, one could smell medicinal scents, along with some very complex aromas.
"If he doesn’t have it, nowhere else will," Xue Qianbai said, and then reached out, trying to pull the door open. Unexpectedly, the door didn’t budge, as if something was jammed, so Xue Qianbai used some force and ended up tearing the door off.
"Who’s tearing down my door?!" an angry shout came from inside, and the person inside was evidently furious.
Soon after, Li Changqing saw a very short old man come out, furiously carrying a pestle as if ready to kill someone.
"Me, any objections?" Xue Qianbai said calmly, looking down at the old man.
The old man paused when he saw Xue Qianbai, then sighed lightly and casually tossed the pestle aside.
"What brings you here?" The old man sat down immediately, seemingly afraid to meet Xue Qianbai’s eyes. "Something you need?"
"Came to buy medicine from you," Xue Qianbai turned around to glance at Li Changqing, "Just call him Veteran Artisan."
"Veteran Artisan, sir," Li Changqing said politely.
"Just call me Veteran Artisan, not sir or whatever; it’s irritating!" The short elder was quick-tempered, as if no one but Xue Qianbai could rein him in.
"Alright then," Li Changqing didn’t stand on ceremony, "Veteran Artisan, I’m looking to buy a Fifth Grade Realm-Breaking Pill. Do you have any? Xue Qianbai said that if you don’t have it, nowhere else will."
"None," Veteran Artisan responded bluntly.
With that, Li Changqing was terribly disappointed.
He had thought he could find it here, but it turned out there was none.
And since Xue Qianbai had said that if Veteran Artisan didn’t have it, nowhere else would, it seemed he would have to ask Mu Qingge to make one?
"I don’t have any Fifth Grade, but I do have one Sixth Grade. Want it?" Veteran Artisan picked up the pestle and slowly walked back inside.
"Sixth Grade!" Li Changqing couldn’t help but be surprised. The Fifth Grade was already hard to find, and yet Veteran Artisan had a Sixth Grade one!
And for someone to have crafted a Sixth Grade Realm-Breaking Pill, they must have too much free time!
"I was just experimenting with alchemy back then and ended up making one, but no one was buying, so I kept it until now," he said, followed by the sound of rummaging inside, then Veteran Artisan came out with a bottle of medicine, saying, "Found it, still here."
"I’ll take it!"
Of course Li Changqing wanted it; a Sixth Grade pill would be more effective than a Fifth Grade one, definitely helping propel his son to break through faster!
"How much are you selling it for?" Li Changqing asked excitedly.
"Veteran Artisan, if you don’t sell this, it’ll be useless to you when you’re gone, so don’t ask for an outrageous price," seemed to know the Artisan’s temperament, Xue Qianbai, sitting by the side, reminded him.
