My First Love Died, Now My Step Uncle Wants Me-Chapter 102: Not Out Here
Nina Wynn was a little scared.
In her impression, Caleb Rhodes was the type of person who was always detached—cold, composed, and dignified.
Even when he was angry, he would keep his emotions in check, never lashing out with such harsh words.
But now, he had not only shoved her into a place like this in public but was also saying such strange things. He must be furious.
Even in the dim light, she could see the clear anger in his eyes.
Dark and icy, it was as if he could crush her to death on the spot if she dared to say a single wrong word.
Nina Wynn couldn’t help but shrink back.
The fear was real, but a sense of being wronged rose up at the same time.
’I didn’t even do anything!’
But Caleb Rhodes was clearly at the peak of his anger, and she didn’t want to defy him right now.
She grabbed his hand, pressed it against her own face, and rubbed it gently. "No, I don’t like him."
The moment Caleb Rhodes thought of the earlier scene, of all the men outside who were coveting Nina Wynn, he started to lose control.
’This person, she has to be mine, body and soul!’
’Before, now, and in the future—she must be!’ 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
He also discovered that his possessiveness and desire to control Nina Wynn were growing stronger, verging on pathological.
But he didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. She was his to begin with. ’She’s my person, so of course, her eyes should only be on me.’
Therefore, Nina Wynn’s display of weakness and her attempt to act cute had no effect at this moment.
The coldness in his eyes intensified. He pinched her chin and said harshly, "What about before? Did you like anyone back when you were in school?"
A chill ran up Nina Wynn’s spine, and her body stiffened slightly.
She obediently gripped his wrist, her voice soft and delicate. "No, I didn’t."
She paused, her voice growing even quieter. "And no one dared to like me, either."
In that environment, everyone treated her like the plague, avoiding her at all costs. Who would have dared to confess their feelings to her?
The one or two people who occasionally took pity on her and wanted to be her friend would end up beaten black and blue within a few days. After that, they would take a wide detour whenever they saw her in the hallway.
Hearing this, Caleb Rhodes felt the anger in his heart subside a little. His slightly rough finger slowly traced over her soft lips, but his voice was still cold. "And you’d better not dare to!"
Then, his tone abruptly shifted, sounding even colder. "Do you also think I’m too much older than you? That I’m old?"
Nina Wynn lowered her eyes, her hands slowly wrapping around Caleb Rhodes’s neck.
In a soft, quiet voice, she said, "Uncle, they were just talking nonsense. You’re only in your twenties, just a few years older than me. You look very young, not old at all."
Caleb Rhodes snorted, his tone icy. "As long as you know."
With that, he cupped the back of her head, lowered his face, and captured her soft lips.
This time, he kissed her more fiercely than ever before. The lip that had just been bitten was broken open again, and she had to endure his forceful suction.
Nina Wynn trembled slightly from the pain, but she kept her arms hooked around his neck, not letting go. She even tentatively probed him with the tip of her tongue.
That did it. Caleb Rhodes intensified his efforts, almost wanting to devour her right then and there.
Gradually, the atmosphere changed. The small, secluded space filled with the soft, ambiguous pants of the two of them.
Holding his head down for so long was getting tiring, so Caleb Rhodes lifted her up, set her on the windowsill, and forcefully pressed her against the window to continue kissing her.
Nina Wynn felt the changes in his body and gradually grew uneasy.
She placed both hands on his chest and tried to push him away.
But her strength was nothing to him. He simply reached out, caught her soft hands, and guided them to press against his own body.
His voice was incredibly hoarse. "Nina..."
Nina Wynn jumped in fright as the unbearable memories of that night flooded back.
She struggled for a moment but found she couldn’t move at all.
Her voice changed in terror. "No, don’t, it hurts... Don’t..."
Caleb Rhodes was so worked up his body felt like it would explode.
All the sensations he had deliberately suppressed these past few days came rushing back. He nibbled gently on her delicate earlobe, his voice low, as if trying to entice her.
"It won’t hurt. It will never hurt again..."
Nina Wynn was terrified. She curled up, trying to minimize contact with him as much as possible.
Her voice was tinged with tears. "No, not out here... I’m begging you..."
Just then, the sound of a child crying and fussing came from outside, interrupting the charged atmosphere.
Caleb Rhodes closed his eyes. When he opened them again, a trace of clarity had returned.
He glanced around.
’It really isn’t a good place for this, and the soundproofing is poor.’
But the main reason was that he hadn’t truly intended to take her out here. The damage from the first time was already done; in the future, he wanted her to be with him in both mind and spirit.
He straightened his own clothes, lifted Nina Wynn off the windowsill, and straightened hers as well.
His voice had returned to its usual cold composure. "In a bit, just grab whatever you like. You don’t need to save my money."
Nina Wynn was a little curious. "Uncle, do you have a lot of money?"
This place looked so high-end, filled with top luxury brands. How much would it cost to just grab things at will?
The moment she asked, she felt she had said the wrong thing.
Just how wealthy Caleb Rhodes was could be seen from the sheer size of the Nash Group.
Its headquarters in Elysian City alone was as large as a major industrial park, located in the heart of the exorbitantly expensive CBD.
It was said to have branches in cities of all sizes across the country, as well as various offices in other nations.
She had also seen online once by chance that Caleb Rhodes didn’t just have the Nash Group; he seemed to have other industries under his control as well.
No wonder Crystal Rhodes and Zyler Rhodes could spend money like water just by relying on their uncle, with garages full of luxury cars worth millions or even tens of millions.
The investments he made in Zyler Rhodes started in the hundreds of millions.
Thinking of this, she fell silent.
Seeing her cautious expression, Caleb Rhodes felt a pang in his heart. He squeezed her soft hand and said in a low voice, "I have more money than you think. You can buy anything you want, Nina."
Nina Wynn thought for a moment, then asked quietly, "Is this how you buy things for Crystal Rhodes too?"
After she spoke, they both fell silent.
After a long moment, Caleb Rhodes stroked her hair and said, "That was then. The future will be different."
Nina Wynn lowered her head, her hands gripping the hem of her clothes tightly. In a very quiet voice, she said, "I don’t like it when you buy her things. Can you please not give her gifts anymore?"
Her words took Caleb Rhodes by surprise.
This was the first time Nina Wynn had ever made such a request. In the past, she had always remained silent on such matters.
Caleb Rhodes saw this as a form of progress. A hint of a smile colored his eyes. "Alright. No more gifts for her."
Nina Wynn looked up, her eyes shining, as if she couldn’t quite believe him. She whispered, "But she’s your family. You share an unbreakable blood bond."
’Unlike me. Other than being able to call him "Uncle" through my aunt’s connection, there is no other relationship between us.’
’Now that my aunt has cut ties with me, I’m afraid I won’t even be allowed to call him ’Uncle’ for much longer.’
’Once this absurd relationship ends, we’ll surely become strangers.’
’With the chasm in status between me and Caleb Rhodes, we’d probably never see each other again for the rest of our lives.’
Thinking of this, her heart suddenly began to ache with a dull, heavy pain.
