My 'Healing' Game-Chapter 63 Heaven Cinema Work Permit
63: Chapter 63 Heaven Cinema Work Permit
63 -63 Heaven Cinema Work Permit
“Well, they’ve certainly done it now,” Xu Qin said as she looked at the shattered man on the floor and walked toward the kitchen.
“Do you want to watch me cook?”
Han Fei shook his head, noticing black thin lines emerging from the man’s body.
The lines twisted and writhed within the man’s body as if alive, “What are these black lines inside their bodies?”
“These people come from outside the complex, and they all have these black lines in their bodies, like some kind of curse,” Xu Qin dragged the slim man into the kitchen, and as she did, his body began to mist and the black lines turned into black smoke.
“A curse?” Han Fei recalled a phrase once mentioned by Insect Building: these outsiders seemed to possess a cursed photograph.
“Most of these outsiders have these black lines in their bodies.
Their own consciousness has already been obliterated, and under the influence of these lines, they become insane and bloodthirsty, obsessed with thoughts of murder.
So don’t show mercy when you encounter them, because if you don’t kill them, they’ll do everything to kill you,” Xu Qin said as she closed the kitchen door.
It was evident she still cared a lot for Han Fei.
“Sis, take your time with the cooking, I’ll check on the sixth floor first. frёewebηovel.cѳm
There might still be some good stuff hidden in the rooms where these outsiders lived,” Han Fei worried that others might steal the items in the rooms.
“You better not go out now; did you hear those footsteps earlier?”
“You mean that hopping sound?” Han Fei remembered the last oppressive footsteps, and he also felt a bit apprehensive, “What was that?
Is it also a neighbor upstairs?”
“I’ve only heard that sound, but I don’t know who made it.
I suspect that the owner of the footsteps might live on the ninth floor.”
“Ninth floor?
There are people living there?”
“There should be.” Dark red blood seeped through the kitchen door cracks.
Xu Qin’s voice was somewhat excited, as if a child had finally found a beloved toy.
“I want to see the Building Chief on the tenth floor, and I must pass through the ninth floor…
it’s unavoidable,”
“I advise you to drop that idea.
The eighth floor is already off-limits, and it’s best to never approach the ninth floor.” The kitchen door cracked open as Xu Qin came out to warn Han Fei, her eyes blood-red and terrifying, making it seem like the ninth floor was a place that should never be mentioned.
“Why?”
“You just need to know that the reason the Building Chief is able to hold that position is not because of his goodness or because everyone adores him; it’s merely because he is the only one who can freely pass through the ninth floor,” Xu Qin’s eyes fixed on Han Fei with a morbid intensity, her tone chilling as if she was afraid Han Fei would rush over there, hence her stern prohibition.
“Don’t worry, I absolutely won’t go upstairs recklessly until I am fully prepared,” Han stressed.
Just as Han Fei finished speaking, a pale arm smeared with fresh blood extended towards his neck, and the slender icy fingers gently rested on his cheek, “If you insist on seeking death, I hope you die in front of me,”
Xu Qin’s words sounded terrifying at first, but somehow, Han Fei discerned a hint of care in them.
“I won’t be seeking my own death; I have very important things to do, like trying all the delicious food you make.” In this murderous dark apartment building, Han Fei spoke these warm, healing words.
After hearing this, Xu Qin smiled with her bright red lips and turned to busily work in the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Xu Qin came out with a freshly made placemat, “It’s a bit small, what do you think?”
“The pattern seems a bit plain.
I heard one of the Outsiders say that one of them has a tattoo of a human-faced butterfly on their skin…”
“Human-faced Butterfly?” Xu Qin showed clear interest.
“When I have new clues, I’ll let you know.”
Han Fei stayed in the apartment for a while longer, leaving Room 1052 with Xu Qin around four in the morning.
The two dragged the body of Insect Building from Room 1051.
Han Fei took Insect Building’s clothes, and Xu Qin took his body.
It could be said that both got what they needed.
Insect Building was relatively unique among the outsiders, and without Xu Qin’s help, even leveling up five times Han Fei believed he wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
After searching through Insect Building’s pockets, Han Fei found two peculiar items.
“Attention Player 0000!
You have discovered the work badge of Heaven Cinema!”
“Heaven Cinema Work Badge (Class G Common Item): One of the triggers for the Artist profession, possessing this badge allows free entry to Heaven Cinema.”
The system introduction only mentioned free entry, but didn’t specify free exit.
Han Fei guessed something must have gone wrong in that cinema, or else the people inside wouldn’t all have been cursed, turned into bloodthirsty maniacs.
“Easy to enter, hard to leave.
However, I’m quite interested in the Artist profession, just not sure if it’s what I think it is.” Perfect Life, the game, doesn’t impose any limits on the number of professions for players, but mastering a profession to the highest level would demand a huge amount of time and energy, and normal players probably find it difficult even to train one profession properly.
Han Fei had previously received a pre-requisite quest for a hidden profession, and he had no intention of giving it up, but he felt he needed another profession that he could use overtly.
If he ever met other players in the game, during introductions Han Fei couldn’t really say—hello, my name is Han Fei, and I’m a Midnight Butcher; such a profession would be too easily misunderstood.
Besides the Heaven Cinema work badge, the other special item Han Fei found was a black and white group photo, featuring a total of seventeen people.
“Attention Player 0000!
You have discovered a cursed photograph!”
“Cursed Photograph (Class G Blood Item): Everyone in this photo is doomed to a gruesome death!
This is my final wish!”
Reading the item description, Han Fei felt that Heaven Cinema might be even more dangerous than he had imagined, but that place was too far removed for him now.
He hadn’t even finished exploring the apartment building he was living in, so he had neither the ability nor the courage to venture outside.
Having acquired two special items, Han Fei went alone to the sixth floor.
He entered Room 1064, where he found stains of blood spread around, and the room reeked of a foul stench.
Carefully searching, Han Fei pushed open the bedroom door, where the stench was strongest.
