My Horny Stepmom Turns Me into Her Vampire Slave-Chapter 27: The one who withstands the strongest vampire
"Zaira... are you sure this road leads to the Valakis house?" Alexander asks with a hint of suspicion.
The road she’s leading him and Rudeor down is very different from the one Alexander usually took when he met Chris outside his house.
A narrow street that cuts through a notorious area, lined with dilapidated, abandoned houses now used by local gangs for dealing.
"Of course I am — who do you take me for?! But lately, the streets of New York have been crawling with Monster Slayers, especially at night. And especially near Princess Mia’s house. I’m just taking you along a safer route, that’s all."
"Fuck the safer route! I’m starting to lose patience, succubus. How much longer until we get there? My hands are itching to rip that damned Platinum Death’s head off!"
Zaira smirks slightly.
"Oh, don’t worry. You’ll get your chance to fight Isabelle very, very soon. Precisely... now!"
Zaira immediately unfolds her large purple wings and dashes forward.
"Stay back, Alexander!"
At the same instant, Rudeor shoves him back and leaps away.
A moment later, Isabelle dives from above like a scarlet comet. Her massive blood-forged sword slams into the spot where they were standing seconds earlier, tearing through the asphalt and leaving a large crater.
The woman now stands before the two Azuralis, wrapped in a raging vortex of Sanguis energy.
"They told me you couldn’t wait to get yourself killed by me. Well, here I am — I even spared you the trouble of coming to find me," Isabelle says with a sinister grin.
Meanwhile, Zaira glides to her side, and Isabelle gives her a pleased look.
"Good work, Zaira. As promised, you’ve earned my permission to ask for Mia’s forgiveness." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Zaira makes a slight bow.
"Thank you, Isabelle. I suppose you no longer need me, then? You should be able to crush those two insects by yourself."
"Indeed. Go and do what you must."
Zaira takes flight and speeds away under Rudeor’s irritated gaze.
"Damned succubus. I knew demons and vampires could never be trusted! No matter — once I’ve killed the Platinum Death, it’ll be that brat’s turn too. Be ready to support me, Alexander!"
But he doesn’t answer. He’s paralyzed with terror, trembling uncontrollably.
Facing Isabelle again has rekindled the visceral fear he felt the night Elisabeth was brutally decapitated.
The desire for revenge that burned in him moments ago has been completely swept away.
In its place remains only the desire to get as far away from there as possible.
W-Why...? Why do I always make such a fool of myself? I-If only I were even half as strong and brave as Rudeor...
He’s right, I’m the shame of House Azuralis. My father, my mother, Elisabeth... they’re probably laughing at me from the Realm of the Dead. I... I’m not worthy of this noble house.
O-One day, I’ll avenge my sister. But not now. Rudeor will surely die, and I don’t want to share his fate! I just need to get to safety!
"F-Forgive me, Rudeor... I... I don’t want to die!"
Alexander turns and runs, sprinting away and leaving a trail of tears behind him.
Rudeor doesn’t even look back. He simply shows a calm, annoyed grimace, as if his cousin’s escape doesn’t surprise him at all.
"I expected nothing less from a coward like him. Looks like I’m the only one left with any guts in this ruined family. Damn it... I almost feel ashamed to carry this name..."
Isabelle points her enormous sword at him.
"Don’t worry. In a few moments, you won’t feel shame anymore. In fact, you won’t feel anything at all. But now... farewell."
The scarlet storm swirling around Isabelle intensifies, shattering nearby windows and uprooting streetlamps.
She raises her sword and darts toward Rudeor at insane speed.
A deafening roar tears through the night — the sound barrier breaking.
It’s this ability to reach such extreme speeds and kill her opponents in a single strike that earned her the nickname Platinum Death.
And yet, it’s not enough to catch Rudeor off guard.
"Alchemical Invocation ● Plumbum..."
He raises his forearm in front of his face, ready to parry the lightning-fast slash aimed at his neck.
"...Partial Lead Coating!"
A dark gray layer covers Rudeor’s right arm like a second skin, from his fingertips to his shoulder.
And then — absolute destruction.
A devastating shockwave erupts on impact.
Buildings around them collapse, and deep chasms tear open in the asphalt.
It’s as if the entire area has been struck by a quake — sudden and violent.
And yet, neither of them has moved an inch.
They exchange a quick, challenging glance, then dash backward, beyond the edges of the enormous crater beneath them.
Isabelle watches him with an amused gaze.
"So, you’re an alchemist. And yet, your physical strength and reflexes are far beyond those of an ordinary mage. The fact that you withstood one of my attacks makes you the second strongest human I’ve ever fought. My compliments."
Rudeor pulls a disgruntled grimace.
"Only second strongest? You offend me, Platinum Death. So tell me — who holds first place? I’m curious. That way, after I kill you, I’ll go take him down as well."
"A Monster Slayer I had the misfortune of crossing blades with almost twenty years ago. I never learned his name, but I know he belonged to the HESPARC Japan division. I was still young then, but my strength was already close to what it is now. And yet, he defeated me. My luck was that he was a true womanizer. When he had the chance to deliver the final blow to a beautiful woman like me, he hesitated... and let me live. It took me months to recover from that fight. Since then, I’ve avoided Monster Slayers like the plague. But I suppose I’m wasting my breath — you don’t seem the type interested in conversation."
"No, I’d say not. Especially when I’m talking to a fucking vampire."
Rudeor gets into a guard stance and slams his fists together.
"Alchemical Invocation ● Plumbum: Complete Lead Coating!"
The same gray layer that covered his arm now spreads across his entire body, leaving only his face exposed.
"That’s enough talking. Come at me, Platinum Death!"
