My Infinite Cultivation System-Chapter 57: Attending school again
Alex stepped out into the room and went infront of his master’s room and knocked it.
"Master, I’ll be leaving soon. The villa is ready," he said, keeping his voice steady even though a quiet excitement stirred in his chest.
The door slid open, and Elyndros walked out slowly, robes drifting behind him like mist. His eyes rested on Alex for a moment, unreadable as always.
"I have nothing to teach you for now," Elyndros said. His tone was calm, but there was weight behind it. "However, I’ve gathered the blood required for the fourth level of your body cultivation technique."
He extended his hand. A space ring floated toward Alex.
"Go cultivate. Humanity is looking forward to your advancement. We are all counting on you."
There was no dramatic farewell. No emotional speech. Elyndros simply turned and returned to his room, the door closing with a soft click.
Alex stood there for a second, staring at the ring in his palm. The words lingered heavier than he expected.
Humanity is counting on you.
He exhaled and went to bid farewell to Darion and the others. The atmosphere felt oddly quiet. Anna was nowhere to be seen, which surprised him. She was usually around when something important was happening.
After saying his goodbyes, Alex went to find his mother.
He spotted her in the garden. And beside her stood Anna.
Alex smiled.
"Hey, Anna. Sorry for bothering you all this time. If you’re free, come visit my villa sometime. I’ll cook for you."
Anna blinked, then smiled shyly. "I’m going to the Academy. Your house is close to it. I might visit regularly to chat with Aunty."
"Academy, huh?" Alex nodded thoughtfully. "I think I’ll attend too after I settle down."
Anna’s eyes widened instantly. "Really?"
"Yeah. See you there."
The faint pink on her cheeks didn’t go unnoticed.
Soon after, Alex and his mother boarded an airship.
The flight was smooth. Clouds drifted past the window like torn silk. Elizabeth sat beside him, quietly admiring the view, while Alex leaned back, already planning his next steps.
When the airship descended, it landed before a massive estate.
It was vast. Clean white stone pathways. Tall iron gates. Hundreds of guards stationed around the perimeter.
The moment Alex stepped out, the guards straightened and gave him a synchronized military salute.
He gave a simple nod and walked inside.
The estate itself was surprisingly open. One large villa stood at the center, surrounded by acres of empty land.
He had instructed the vice president to leave it like that. No extra buildings. No unnecessary decorations.
He wanted space.
Space to plant trees. Space to train. Space to breathe.
"Mom, do you like it?" he asked.
Elizabeth looked around, her eyes shining. "Yes. Very much."
That alone made the entire move worth it.
Inside, the villa was luxurious but not excessive. Marble floors. High ceilings. Wide windows letting sunlight pour in. Alex chose a room on the first floor. It came with a private training room and a cultivation chamber.
Though he didn’t need the cultivation room anymore.
By afternoon, two maids arrived. Rena and Lina.
They were loyal and capable. Elizabeth quickly warmed up to them, relieved to have company while Alex would be busy with his endless cultivation.
That night, Alex stood before the massive training chamber.
"Mom, I’ll be cultivating through the night," he said.
Elizabeth nodded. She was already used to this.
Inside the room, Alex took out the blood required for his fourth breakthrough.
The containers glowed faintly under the lights.
He removed his outer clothing and stepped into the prepared formation.
Then he activated the technique.
The moment the blood touched him, it surged violently.
His body reacted like a starving beast. It absorbed the blood at an insane speed. Veins glowed. Muscles tightened. His skin shimmered faintly with a metallic sheen.
Pain came, but it was distant. Manageable.
Hours passed.
Eight hours later, the last trace of blood vanished.
Alex opened his eyes slowly.
A subtle pressure radiated from him.
He had broken through to the fourth level.
His body felt denser. Stronger. Unshakable.
The system panel flickered before him.
[Defense: 130 Megaton]
A small smile appeared on his face.
That number was terrifying.
He stepped into the shower, washed away the dried residue, and felt refreshed.
"Time to sleep," he muttered.
He lay down and instantly drifted off. With his mental energy, sleep was something he could command.
The next morning, Alex woke early.
He didn’t need food anymore. But he liked it.
He enjoyed the normalcy.
So he had a hearty breakfast with his mother before getting ready.
He wore the uniform of the Aurora Martial Institution. It felt strange, almost nostalgic. In his previous life, he never truly experienced school.
This time, he would.
Even if he didn’t need to.
Driving toward the academy, he wondered briefly if he should learn a face changing technique.
He shook his head.
Too much trouble.
Instead, he tucked his long silver hair under a cap, put on a mask, and added sunglasses.
Good enough.
When he parked and stepped out, a guard approached to stop him. Alex calmly showed his card.
The moment the guard saw the name and photo, his expression changed instantly.
He stood straight and saluted.
"Don’t tell anyone," Alex said quietly.
The guard nodded vigorously.
Alex entered.
The academy grounds were peaceful. Students chatted casually. None of them knew how fragile the world truly was. That the barrier protecting them could vanish at any moment.
The alliance had forbidden anyone from going near it.
Ignorance was a kind of peace.
He found the first year elite classroom. Room 101.
Without hesitation, he opened the door and walked in.
Conversations halted instantly.
Dozens of eyes turned toward the masked stranger.
"Hey, who are you?" the class monitor asked.
Kael Moriarty.
Alex raised an eyebrow behind his sunglasses. Interesting.
Kael hadn’t taken the test with them. He must have been admitted through emperor family slots.
Instead of replying, Alex simply took out his elite class card and flashed it.
Kael’s eyes narrowed.
"Are you Al..."
He didn’t get to finish.
Alex placed a finger against his own lips.
"Don’t say what you shouldn’t," he said calmly.
Kael froze for a second, then slowly nodded.
Alex walked to an empty seat and sat down as if nothing had happened.
Two minutes later, the classroom door opened again.
Anna walked in.
The room shifted instantly.
Whispers erupted. The boys stared openly.
Top five geniuses weren’t supposed to attend regular classes. They usually should have showed up for exams.
But there she was.
Anna’s eyes scanned the room.
She found him immediately.
She walked straight over and sat beside him.
Kael looked like he wanted to say something, but before he could, someone burst into the room.
"Senior Brother Dimitry is challenging Senior Brother Jenn! It’s happening now! Teacher said class is canceled!"
The classroom exploded into noise.
Chairs scraped. Students rushed out. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Within seconds, the room was nearly empty.
Alex remained seated.
He had actually come here to attend class.
"Do you want to go?" Anna asked softly.
He shook his head.
"Not really. I heard there’s a battle ranking tower here. You fight monsters on each floor using only techniques. No cultivation. No talent boosts."
Anna nodded. "Yes. It’s meant to test pure skill."
"I’ll go challenge that."
His tone was calm, but something flickered in his eyes.
Technique only.
That sounded interesting.
Anna smiled. "Then I’ll watch."
