My Martial Spirit is Nanobot-Chapter 411 Jindan
The night sky was dark over the mountain, with clouds moving past the moon like quiet watchers. Inside his dimly lit wooden cabin,
Lin Lee sat with his legs crossed, his eyes half-open, the purple-green glow in them slowly becoming calm.
’The sect gates are sealed every night, and guards patrol until morning. I can’t leave openly. I’ll need to use the spiritual paths under the mountain.’
He stood up, put his robe in a storage pouch, and put on a simple gray robe of a servant disciple. His presence faded... his breath, energy, everything disappeared until even a small trace of a cultivator was gone. It was as if a normal person now stood where Lin Lee had been.
The Boundless Heaven Art gently pulsed in his core, making his qi flow almost zero.
He opened the door, which creaked softly, and stepped out. The moonlight spread across the living area like spilled mercury, reflecting off tiled roofs and misty walls. There was no sound except for the distant crackle of insects and the steady murmur of the mountain wind.
Lin Lee’s steps were very light as he walked toward the cliff edge behind the residences. A narrow path went down there... used by medicine disciples to carry waste soil and old herbs. He followed it until he reached a moss-covered stone wall.
His eyes narrowed. The flow of qi from behind the wall was faint but steady...an underground stream of spiritual energy flowing downward.
He pressed his hand against the surface and activated his Boundless Heaven Art, resonating with the heaven and earth energy flowing through it.
Next moment, the wall shimmered faintly, and the formation lines appeared for a moment before disappearing. It wasn’t a defense barrier, just a stabilizing formation to stop it from collapsing.
Lin Lee slipped through the narrow gap, going into the earth like a shadow swallowed by the dark.
The tunnel twisted downward for several hundred feet before opening into a large cave.
Crystals grew from the walls, lighting everything with a dim blue light. The sound of rushing underground water filled the space.
Lin Lee breathed out and muttered softly. "Perfect, this path really runs under the mountain and out toward the forest base."
He made a small wisp of fire from his fingertip. It flickered in the cold air, guiding him as he followed the tunnel deeper, he walked slowly as he didn’t want to reveal his qi.
The formations inside are extremely sensitive, it will be activated if there is a tiny movement of foreign energy or if someone tries to steal from it.
Few hours passed quickly.
Finally, he reached an exit hidden behind a thick wall of vines and rock. A gentle push of qi sent a wave of force through it, clearing a small opening.
Outside, the night air was colder, heavy with the smell of pine and dew. The sect peak loomed high behind him, covered in fog and silence. Lin Lee stepped into the forest, his eyes looking at the dark horizon.
"The spiritual energy outside the sect is weak, but enough to prepare for a breakthrough. I’ll go deeper until I find an untouched place."
He moved quickly through the woods. The moon disappeared behind clouds again, and the sound of night creatures echoed... wolves howling in the distance, the rustle of swaying branches and ringing of different kinds of worms.
After about half a night’s journey, Lin Lee reached a ravine filled with old, burnt trees. Broken rocks, traces of ash, and the faint metallic smell of blood hung in the air. It looked like an old battlefield.
’Good, this place looks like someone has been staying here, but few people would come here and disturb me.’
He decided but he didn’t knew that something doesn’t happen according to one wishes. Just as he was about to set up his hiding formation, a slight movement caught his attention.
Rustle!
He turned sharply looking at the bushes on the left, through the darkness. He saw some peoples coming toward him. These several figures wearing torn robes, their qi flow unstable and violent.
As their appearance cleared through the moonlight, Lin Lee pupils shrank... ’Bandits or rogue cultivators.’ A thought flashed through his mind.
While the peoples on the opposite also stopped noticing him... One of them, a bearded man with a scar across his cheek, spoke grinningly after noticing the immature appearance of Lin Lee, "What do we have here? A lost little outer sect disciple?"
Lin Lee’s eyes flickered coldly, but he didn’t answer.
Another man, younger but with sharp, hollow eyes, laughed pointing at the ring and pouch in Lin Lee possession, "Look at his ring and pouch. Must be some rich kid sneaking out to play in this dark night."
Then the group eight of them... spread out, surrounding him. Their combined spiritual pressure churned the air, each at least a high Qi-Gathering cultivator.
The scarred leader stepped forward. "Leave your belongings and maybe we’ll let you live."
Lin Lee’s gaze dropped slightly, as if in pity. "You all... should’ve stayed asleep tonight."
Before any of them could react, his figure moved very fast.
Swish!
A fist hit the chest of the nearest man, crushing his ribs inward. The man’s body flew backward and hit a rock with a dull crack, dead before he even touched the ground.
The other seven froze in shock.
"High foundation realm!" someone screamed, dread spread through their hearts, pulling out his weapon, but it was too late.
Lin Lee’s spiritual energy burst outward, invisible yet suffocating. The air itself twisted. He raised his palm, and the Heaven Art stirred inside him. The Life Bead glowed faintly within his soul space, reacting like a predator sensing prey.
"Steal Life!"
Light burst forth, pale and eerie. It wasn’t fire or lightning... it was life essence being pulled away.
The bandits screamed as the glow from their bodies flowed toward Lin Lee. Their skin shriveled, eyes turning hollow. In moments, the ground was covered with withered corpses.
Silence followed... the only sound left was the faint hum of energy swirling around him.
Lin Lee’s eyes closed. His spiritual paths expanded under the surge of life. The Life Bead within his soul spun rapidly, absorbing the stolen life force before releasing it back into him in a purer form.
’So pure... their essence is rough, but enough to improve my foundation.’
He stepped forward, dragging the scarred leader’s corpse closer with a flick of his hand. His fingers touched the man’s forehead, taking out the remaining soul information.
"Blood Moon Gang... low-level rogues, operating near the sect borders." He mumbled quietly, then let the lifeless body fall to the earth.
He looked toward the faint line of dawn now appearing on the horizon. "Very good, the spiritual storm in my core is ready to burst... it’s time to break through."
He walked deeper into the ravine, where jagged rocks formed a natural circle. There, he sat with his legs crossed, his expression calm but his heart heavy with silent fire.
From his pouch, he pulled out several spirit stones, crushing them into dust as energy rushed into the air.
He guided it into his dantian. The Boundless Heaven Art rotated faster and faster until a golden whirlpool appeared within. His foundation layers... built strong through countless realms began to compress.
The Life Bead pulsed, it’s energy poured in, merging with his soul and flesh.
Boom!
A muffled explosion echoed through the ground. The air trembled, and cracks appeared around the stone circle.
Lightning gathered in the sky above the ravine, even though dawn had barely broken.
Nine streaks of blue-white lightning swirled together like snakes.
’Heaven’s tribulation... it begins.’
Lin Lee breathed out deeply, then lifted his chin, his eyes shining with anticipation. "Come."
The first bolt struck...
Boom!
It hit his body, shaking the entire forest. Sparks burst from his skin as his qi shield shattered, yet his eyes didn’t waver.
He gritted his teeth and circulated the Boundless Heaven Art. Every drop of lightning that entered him was absorbed, refined, and shaped into the forming golden core.
One strike! Two!! Three!!!
Each thunderbolt grew heavier, darker, until the ninth arrived.
It didn’t fall... it came down. A giant column of violet light that split the clouds apart, roaring like a beast of the heavens.
Lin Lee’s veins bulged; blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. His body trembled violently, but deep inside, a faint hum emerged... The Life Bead spinning like a miniature sun, sending streams of life force to repair his flesh as fast as the lightning tore it.
Minutes passed... then silence covered everything once again.
When the storm cleared, Lin Lee sat amid scorched earth, his hair flowing wildly in the breeze. His body glowed faintly, a golden core floating behind his soul, surrounded by nine thin lines.
Low Level Jindan, Achieved.
Lin Lee opened his eyes, the world become cleared in his vision, it seemed more sharper, deeper, as if every leaf and whisper carried hidden meaning.
