134 Li Shuanwei

He laughed wryly inside himself at some ideas and smirked painfully as he looked at the letter. But then, his eyes widened, and his heartbeat quickened.

"Li Shuanwei, a filthy rich young master of these areas. A close son of the Starlight Clan Head, a silk pants who had often been said to be idiotic or stupid. He was by today more than 30 years old, but the man hadn't even Awakened for once yet.

"Not because he had some kind of issue regarding his cultivation—the man just hated cultivation, supposedly. Someone who intentionally avoids all kinds of conflict no matter how they came. A man who likes to sleep at home rather than wake up to eat.

"But that is bullshit; that person is not who he seems to be. He is a cultivator, but just not the way we know it. If you can find some details about this, you will be paid handsomely, and you might not have to kill that son of yours if you do. Do not try your filthy tricks, demon!

"Do not also try to meet with other Demons like you; keep your distance and also try to kidnap some of the three clans' children and ask them about our question."

With wide eyes, Hou Mang looked at the letter and then looked at his son. He bit his cracked lips and growled slightly.

"What happened, Grandpa?" asked Hou Jing.

"Ah, nothing, Jing Jing, nothing."

Then, he went into the Southern Lust City, set up a small shop, and began his inspection. Just like many others spread around in the city. On one of those days, he met a red-eyed man, and his son sold him a map he had drawn, a map that he had drawn using years of travel as a foundation, something accurate to a tee. 𝐟re𝚎𝘄𝚎𝐛𝚗o𝚟el.c𝐨𝚖

That person was supposedly a Starlight, but just a weak one with not even a spark to his name. He lost interest. But he once again gained interest when he heard the man was about to have a marriage outside the clan in the forest.

He would surely have protection and such, so he didn't want to mess with the people there, but what better day to have his checking out than on that day, on that marriage? He got ready to visit with a smile.

But as he was heading there with happy strides, the boy hanging on his back with some sweets in his mouth, a shout echoed from outside the city walls, full of wrath and hatred. "Junior, YOU DARE!!!"

And his gaze instinctively moved towards the Starlight Zone.

There was a young woman in the air, her icy blue hair flying in the wind as she held an unconscious young man hanging on her side disdainfully. With victorious laughter, she flew away, and just behind her flew another young man.

At one glance, he knew who that was. 'Starlight Clan Head.'

So the boy stolen must have been that 'Li Shuanwei.'

His heart went cold, and with the boy in hand, he immediately left the city. He sighed when he understood that mere minutes later, the Rock clan locked down the whole city.

He didn't want to participate in this any longer, but just as he wanted to run away, a pigeon flew and dropped a stone in front of him. He nervously took it to read.

"This is the location of a Caravan. Kill everyone in there, and the worm inside you will vanish."

Hou Mang immediately did exactly that, and there, he had to fight with another Evolved, but the person was just a youth with not much experience; he easily fought him, and when another Demon came to help, it became even easier—in the end, they massacred the whole Caravan and left with the Sacred Coins.

They also felt the Worm inside them vanish. They joined an alliance to escape together and ran away.

But as they passed the Elephant Rock and went past a cliff, another Demon ambushed them, and one of them died; Hou Mang could only run away with injuries while his son Hou Jing was left behind.

The last thing that happened was a sharp black sword piercing him from the back.

Inside the Elephant Rock, Han Li opened his eyes, sharp and calm.

'So it was not related to Detached Empty Spaces, as I assumed.'

But that only made his expression become as worse as someone who had just been forced to eat shit. His [Life Vision] had shown Li Shuanwei to be an Unawakened.

What was going on?

Was it not 100% accurate all the time?

"He cultivates, but not the way we know it."

What did those words mean?

He clenched his hand, and his mood worsened when he thought about that woman in the sky. She was a strong woman, he knew who she was—she could kill him easily. But then he thought of the woman from that boat.

They were both different people.

That woman had one of the best Dao Souls he knew of; just thinking about it, he felt another headache. 'Illusion Dao Soul.'

Even though she was just an Evolved, she had used illusion to create the worm inside Hou Mang's body and presumably all the other demons around and kept it as a complete truth.

How bold and what a nice scheme!

He only knew about it because he had experience dealing with similar opponents.

That woman was just an Evolved, and probably not a Sacred Talent one, but Han Li knew she would be troublesome to deal with if he had to fight her—especially since he would not want to fight her when his mom was with him. Not when she was that Flying Woman's accomplice. That was a straight death-courting scenario. She was a Demonic Power Born who didn't care about the Starlight Head, Han Li, as he was now, would die before he knew it.

"Mom, we're going back the way we came. I misunderstood what was going on, and we're about to get into something that would be of no benefit to us."

Yue Li confusedly looked at him. "What happened?"

He looked at her curious face, and sighed as he explained.
