My new Journey through the realms-Chapter 822 - 820 Digging Deep but Deeper

Rex dug deep into his Soul. He found Lilith sitting in a rocking chair by a calm lake. No words spoken, no emotions shown, just a peaceful day at the lake.

"Weird." Rex spoke.

"What you seek is either pass or in the lake. You must treasure what you find for that is the key to your success." That Lilith spoke.

"I have dug deep and I have to dig deeper. Thankfully, I have a wonderful Soul Mate." Rex kissed Lilith.

For the first time this Lilith smiled, "Thankfully, I too have a wonderful Soul Mate. However, you need to be going now." Lilith waved and blew him a kiss.

Rex smiled. He continued forward. A wave of happiness feeling him with the urge to hug Lilith. He knew that would only upset her.

"I guess deeper it is and that will be the lake first." Rex dived.

He felt that he was in water but he was not getting any kind of wet. He continued down. His breathing suddenly could not happen because of water getting into his lungs. It had not affected him before.

"Of course. This is a lake here." Rex thought.

He delved deeper. His oxygen levels getting low. His eyesight not good, his arms and legs felt number, his chest screamed breath, and his mind began to see stars shining in the night sky.

Finally, he felt open air. His mind immediately forced him to breath only to feel burning sensations through his entire body.

He looked around and did not see anything but the night sky. He floated. He had nothing else better to do.

"You think that conquering me is easy?"

Rex heard the voices but it sounded like him speaking.

"I am you in a sense. I am part of your Soul. Try to figure out where you belong."

Rex stopped his float and looked around. Nothing, absolutely nothing in sight. Until he looked back at the stars.

"I could reach there easier if I could use myself to go up." Rex spoke.

"Going up?" The voice beaconed.

Suddenly beneath Rex he felt something rises. When he looked at it, he knew it was baby wyvern.

"So is this your adult Dragon form huh?" Rex spoke.

Pearly white scales with a coat of light dirt on top. Nothing was perfect however this seemed to make her look extremely good.

"My girl." Rex spoke.

Suddenly, he saw himself in outer space with thousands of stars. Not a single looking like it was death.

"Choose the wrong star and part of your Soul will be destroyed." The voice echoed.

Rex sweated. He did not know which part could be destroyed easily and not damage him. He carefully studied the stars around him. Nothing too glorious or heart breaking. Each star also felt like home to him.

"I choose all of the stars." Rex spoke.

He said this after studying the stars for what seemed like forever.

"A clever choice. Not one but all. What benefit does that do you?" The voice asked.

"When they all feel like home, that means there are all a singular part of me." Rex replied.

The space turned. Suddenly, a black flame appeared before him.

"The choice was not one you could easily make. There was a singular wrong choice. I am glad that you made one of the nicer choices. Then again, being a human who gains the title of Demon King changes things." The Black Flame spoke.

"I guess it would be either a singular star or none correct?" Rex asked.

"The most wrong answer was looking behind you." The voice echoed.

Rex felt his hairs stand on end.

"What if I was simply curious?" Rex asked.

"That is the most asked question. The answer still remains the same. Looking back means remembering past failures and either accepting them or wanting them. Once you use myself, that will never be an issue." The voice echoed.

"I am sorry for the tragedy of an answer." Rex spoke.

"No need. This has always been the life of our existence." The Black Flame spoke.

The voice of the Black Flame and the other voice were worlds apart. This Flame felt more alive and joyous while the other voice made Rex feel terrible.

"You found your Demonic Soul Energy. I am truly a glad person to see you. Your next challenge will not be as easy. You will return to the lake. Three new choices will appear. Each one unknown to me. I had to make sure that I was the first one.

I will give you two hints to secure the next pieces. A feeling of strength in a certain direction will gradually tear you apart. A feeling of calmness will drown you in despair."

With those words, Rex appeared back at the lake with Lilith.

"How was it?" She asked.

"I am not sure. I truly know that there is something truly weird going on here but I am not sure what it is." Rex spoke.

Like an understanding of flashed through Lilith's eyes but Rex had not seen it.

"You are special. So whatever hints are told allow you make your next decision easy." Lilith's voice echoed in his ear.

"I cannot go to where there is a great strength pulling on me but I also cannot go where the calmness is too great." Rex thought.

He ventured across the lake. Three news paths appeared as he near sections. No visible signs on a marker left by the sign. He felt a calmness before the storm in that direction.

He ventured to the next area. He felt the pull being extremely strong. He knew he was not ready. He ventured to the next area. That area also seemed calm but he could not tell which was worst.

He continued back to Lilith. When he returned, she saw him worried.

"What is wrong?" She asked.

"When a calmness is too calm. What does that mean to you?" He asked.

He figured that was the best way to choose the area to go to.

"Does this seem calm to you?"

"Very much so."

"Is it dangerous calm?"

"Potentially."

"That is your answer."

He ventured towards the area with the calm before the storm.

"Wrong decision. Let us see how Godly Soul Energy reacts to you early. The Black Flame did change the wording around to make you go there next for whatever reason." That Lilith spoke slightly amused.
