Chapter 836 - 834 Punishment

The announcer and Rex found a round table with seven other Rex's sitting around. The tension was high and the mood sour.

"You mean to tell us that he was already using Godly Soul Energy before meeting us?" Three of them Rex's slammed on the table.

Everyone was afraid.

"Godly Soul Energy or not. It is still a disqualification." Another Rex spoke.

"If he had listened closely or the words spoken being just a little clearer. We would not be in this mess right now." Another Rex spoke.

The last two were silent. They took in all the words spoken. Their eyes wanting more, their body language was already telling what their verdict was, but no one knew what it should be currently.

"For Rex to already have not visited us. It is a disqualification." One of the two last spoke.

"However, it is not entirely his fault. So he can be pardoned with just a higher ranking battle currently. So we have decided to grant him this. Any objections?" The last one spoke.

"What about his punishment?" The first one to yell out spoke.

"Yes. That might be a problem. However, we need to focus on the battle to ensure that this goes smoothly. What are your opinions on the match?" The last one spoke.

Everyone seemed to agree that this would be for the best.

"Very well. Mr. Announcer, lead Rex back to the arena. His new opponent will be out shortly." The second to last spoke.

"Very well." He spoke.

Rex felt that this was way to complicated for him to remember.

All of the Rex's inside the room were now calm. They all smiled and joked.

"Did we just go overboard with ourself?" One of them asksd.

"Probably. Who says that we cannot go overboard every once and a while."

They all began to just laugh. Their hearts and minds at ease. It was as if all that madness was just gone and never happened.

Meanwhile

"Sir, I know you are anxious about the match. First, we must prepare the person. Please wait here while we prepare." The announcer spoke.

Rex just simply followed the words spoken. As he walked in, he felt trouble was in there. He did not dare to refuse the words spoken.

"Greetings to Master, how are you today?" A little demon asked.

"Not bad but not good either." Rex replied.

"Truly a sad day." The demon spoke.

Neither one spoke. There was a tension in the air that could not be explained.

"What have you done today?" The demon was trying to break the tension.

"Nothing much." Rex replied.

Still neither one would allow the tension to drop. Then Rex felt it. A hunger coming towards him. He stood up and felt the power course through his Soul.

With just a single hand holding up the shadows. Rex could feel the power of whatever it was right beside him.

Until now, he had never felt this kind of fear before. It was not like a death fear. It felt more like an unknown being staring down and makes you afraid.

While the duo held a stalemate, the little demon just naturally took its time and getting ready. He was the punishment demon inside of Rex's Soul. While the big bad wolf was here, he could nothing.

This stalemate lasted five minutes before Rex attempted to attack again. He tried using his Mortal Soul Qi but it still happens to come out with Godly Soul Energy.

When the punch connected with the shadows. Something wiggled and felt afraid, the eyes appeared to be bloodshot now.

The demon felt that Rex was honestly trying to use his Mortal Soul. This begged him why he could not.

Suddenly it clicked, it was not that Rex could not. His other Souls were too powerful. No matter what he would do. The Mortal Soul would not show itself.

"Try using your Demonic Soul." The demon whispered.

Rex rolled his eyes and tried to attempt the energy from his Soul. There when trying to use his Demonic Soul did he actually get to see each of his Souls. The problem now was that his Godly Soul was too big in length. His Demonic Soul was too wide. His Heavenly Soul was about the right size. His Mortal Soul was almost nowhere to be seen.

"No wonder I could not use my Mortal Soul. I cannot even see it." Rex spoke.

Upon touching his Demonic Soul, a wave of dread filled the area. He made a fist and punched the air.

"He is terrifying." The demon spoke.

He had to do a job and punishing Rex. Since he had already done a good deed. He decided to let him off easy.

"That will be good." The demon spoke.
