My Pretty Campus Queen-Chapter 953 - 951: Ice Spirit Manor
"Alright, I’ve said my piece. Good luck to you." The driver spoke with good intentions, but since the passenger didn’t listen, he left it at that.
After an hour’s journey, transitioning from the highway to a regular road and finally to a muddy path, passing through three checkpoints, they finally arrived at the entrance of a manor.
This place appeared desolate, somewhat resembling the previous Beiji Medical Manor. Similarly, the entrance was a muddy path, and throughout the long journey, there were barren weeds everywhere, giving the impression that no one had visited for hundreds of years.
Evidently, the manor’s gate wasn’t that old; it seemed like it had been recently replaced, appearing quite new. This contrasted sharply with the ancient walls flanking it.
Chen Tianlong shook his head. This time he was here to sneak in and find someone, so he definitely couldn’t just knock on the door openly.
Thus, he walked to the corner of the wall, intending to leap over it. Suddenly, he noticed a car approaching, and he quickly hid in the bushes.
"Screech!"
The car shook briefly before coming to a stop, likely waiting for someone to open the gate.
He saw the driver take out a phone, seemingly saying something, while Chen Tianlong took advantage of the opportunity to roll under the car and grab onto the handrail beneath it, silently adhering himself underneath.
Shortly after, the car started again, indicating that the gate had been opened, and drove in.
About five minutes later, Chen Tianlong still had no idea where he was specifically within the Ice Spirit Sword Manor. Once the car stopped, he didn’t emerge immediately; he waited until everyone left first.
After a while, the car and its surroundings were silent, and Chen Tianlong crawled out from beneath the car, dusting off his clothes, then began surveying his surroundings.
When he looked around, he was incredibly surprised. There were many buildings here, modern and ancient alike, and particularly in front, there stood a massive circular altar, adorned with stone carvings of various types of swords.
The stone carvings were exquisitely beautiful, depicting a sword vividly and lifelike.
Near the altar were seven swords placed in seven different positions.
"A sword manor is truly a sword manor; even the altar is adorned so beautifully, with swords everywhere." Chen Tianlong gazed at the spectacular scenery around him, utterly astonished.
However, Chen Tianlong wasn’t here to sightsee; he was here to find his girlfriend Lin Wushuang. After some trouble, Chen Tianlong stepped into a somewhat mysterious pavilion guarded by four or five people.
Logically, this place was remote, visitors were rare, and even if there was something extremely valuable inside the house, it wouldn’t warrant four or five guards.
Moreover, should valuable items be placed inside a pavilion? That notion was downright laughable.
After observing for a while, Chen Tianlong realized that approaching the pavilion from the front might lead to discovery, especially since he wasn’t familiar with this place or aware of any hidden cameras. It would be reckless to act hastily.
Being able to evade cameras and bring someone here from the hotel indicated that he wasn’t dealing with ordinary people. Moreover, this was the sword manor, likely home to some experts.
Without a clear understanding of the enemy’s strength, Chen Tianlong decided to proceed cautiously.
He planned to circle around and then climb up the pavilion from the back. However, after walking for a few minutes, he suddenly found himself in a completely different place from what he just saw.
What’s going on?
Chen Tianlong was shocked, and turning around, he found himself amid a vast snowy domain, with towering pine trees burdened by thick white snow.
Furthermore, it was already nighttime, with only moonlight illuminating the area amidst the snow-covered ground. He was dressed in a thin shirt, feeling unbearably cold.
Damn!
Could it be that he’s entered their array formation again? Damn it, why do these ancient building bases love setting up array formations so much? Are they all designed by the same person?
It’s no surprise Chen Tianlong would think that, given that every manor he encountered had such formations, forcing him to be constantly on guard.
"Chen Tianlong... wait for us."
While Chen Tianlong was lost in thought, a familiar voice suddenly called from behind. He turned hurriedly, revealing Shen Yan and Lu Xiaoyu.
Trusting his usual calm nature, he shook his head and looked again, discovering that these two were indeed real, not a mere illusion.
"Shen Yan, Xiaoyu, how come you’re here?" Chen Tianlong asked incredulously.
They had been at the hotel before, hadn’t they?
"Chen Tianlong, what’s the matter with you? It’s like you’re not welcoming us. Can’t we be here?" Shen Yan pouted.
With a wry smile, Chen Tianlong realized Shen Yan’s demeanor was genuinely real.
"Xiaoyu and I were worried about you, and having more people means more help. Maybe we can find Wushuang," Shen Yan explained, knowing Chen Tianlong was aware of her capability to protect herself.
As for Lu Xiaoyu, she was simply concerned for Lin Wushuang, hence she came along to help with the search.
As soon as they entered the sword manor, they got lost and ended up here.
Chen Tianlong nodded and said nothing more, moving forward. If this was an array formation, they had to break through it, or they’d be trapped inside. Although he didn’t know how Lu Xiaoyu and Shen Yan got there, the essential point was to break through the formation; only then would everything become clear.
Ahead lay a small forest, now covered in snow, blindingly white. Their feeling of cold intensified as none of them were dressed appropriately for the extreme cold, partly because they were too rushed, forgetting to prepare for the chill.
While walking, Shen Mengya suddenly fell, startling Lu Xiaoyu, who quickly shouted, "Tianlong, Shen fell; hurry and check on her."
Previously, Chen Tianlong had been leading the way, but he hadn’t expected this to happen; Shen Yan had fallen.
He quickly approached to see Shen Yan’s face pale, her body shaking uncontrollably.
"Damn, cold has attacked her heart!" Chen Tianlong, being a Divine Doctor, quickly recognized the symptoms, realizing she was affected by the cold.
At this moment, Chen Tianlong discovered that the ground was emitting cold air, not the type produced by a refrigerator but the Black Alliance’s ominous cold, as if the source of this cold was in the very earth itself.
"What? Cold has attacked her heart, what should we do?" Lu Xiaoyu asked anxiously, not understanding.
Thinking for a moment, Chen Tianlong grasped Shen Yan’s pulse. He had succeeded in removing Cold Poison from Bing Ruxue before, so he thought he could handle this cold. However, after trying for a while, he found he couldn’t extract it, as the cold had invaded her heart. His Powerful Qi dared not approach her heart meridian for fear of damaging it.
In reality, his strength was not yet sufficient to extract all the cold at once, making it extremely risky.
