"Is he handsome?" Ye Yuan asked, his eyes filled with intense yearning.

She had no idea what their father looked like, but she vividly described his face anyway.

"My Yuanyuan is so handsome, how can his daddy not be? He has the same thick eyebrows, tall nose, and deep-set eyes as Yuanyuan. He’s a real stud."

Ye Yuan’s yearning deepened.

"So, is he more handsome, or am I?"

"Of course, my precious Yuanyuan is the handsomest in my eyes."

Ye Lu proudly kissed his cheek, disregarding the man who was their father.

"Mommy, when can we move out and live with you?" Ye Yuan asked with anticipation.

Ye Lu paused: "When Mommy makes enough money, I’ll live with you. Don’t you like living here with your grandpa? Doesn’t Aunt Chen treat you well?"

"No, no," Ye Yuan quickly waved his hand and hesitated, "I just dislike Grandpa and Grandma Chen."

Ye Lu looked upset, her anger rising: "Ye Yuan, I don’t blame you for disliking Grandma Chen. But Grandpa has done so much for you. Buying clothes and toys, sending you to extracurricular classes. He’s put so much effort into caring for you. How can you speak like this, so ungrateful? Didn’t I teach you to be a respectful person?"

"I...I won’t say such things again," Ye Yuan bit his lip and lowered his head.

Ye Lu sighed, softened by his expression. She knew her two children must miss her since they couldn’t see her often, which might have led to their desire to move out. It wasn’t necessarily because they disliked their grandpa.

"Mommy doesn’t blame you. Just promise me you’ll study hard and listen to Grandpa, okay?"

"... Okay."

"Mommy..." A delicate voice rang out from the small bed.

"Yiyi sweetheart, you’re awake too." Ye Lu instantly grinned and picked up Ye Yi, kissing her chubby cheeks, "Little Lazy Piggy, finally decided to get up."

Ye Yi opened her drowsy big eyes. She was incredibly beautiful.

Her skin was as white and translucent as jade. Her features delicate and perfect. She had big starry eyes, a small refined nose, and lips as delicate as small roses. She somewhat resembled Ye Lu, but not entirely.

Perhaps, she inherited the best genes from her parents. She was beautiful as a little angel, radiant and lovable.

Whether at home or school, she was always the cherished little princess.

The only downside was beneath her sweet exterior, she was a tomboy who loved to tease others.

She was always mischievous and quick-witted but somehow never annoying.
