Yiyi’s hand was held by him, which should have made her feel a bit uneasy, but his expression was so natural and open, without any hint of ambiguity, purely like long-time friends.

She was originally someone who didn’t sweat the small stuff, so she let herself relax. Since returning from Eagle Country, she hasn’t been in the best of moods.

Though she tried hard to immerse herself in her studies, it was merely an escape. Deep down, she felt mildly repressed and gloomy, whereas Mr. Wubai was a friend who could relieve her tension and was positively optimistic, wiping away her previous depression, and made her feel at ease.

She left early just to avoid running into him.

But now, being fixed under his sharp gaze that seemed filled with intense questioning, she suddenly felt a shiver and very uncomfortable.

Yiyi felt his gaze like sharp needles pricking her, and instinctively she withdrew her hand from Mr. Wubai’s grasp, feeling awkward.

"Quite a surprise." Helian Ling Kong merely sneered, his gaze full of sarcasm as he looked at Yiyi. "You’re quite the casual woman, changing partners within a month. That poor man who professed his love for you so publicly last time surely didn’t expect to be toyed by a heartless and fickle woman like you."

Yiyi’s face went pale, showing a somewhat embarrassed expression.
