My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 915: Dazzlingly Beautiful
They arrived at a monastery nestled peacefully in the mountains under the night sky.
After getting out of the car, a cleric in a black robe came out to greet them. Third Young Master Jun’s cold and sharp gaze swept over the ancient and peaceful monastery, a strong sense of vigilance and caution rising in his heart.
It was a very sacred and peaceful place, but he knew that the simpler it seemed, the more complex it was.
This was no ordinary monastery. Whether it was its long history or the immense power it once held, accompanying Christianity’s control over medieval European politics, it had permeated every corner of European history, influencing many significant historical events!
Even though religious power had declined today, it still maintained an immeasurable influence in the shadows.
The monk led them inside, through the garden, to a simple and ancient reception room where the two sat down.
Soon, an old monk with white hair, a ruddy complexion, and a dignified and serene demeanor walked in. He wore a clean white robe and around his neck hung a silver cross, tied with an exquisite golden cord, exuding a peaceful aura, yet there was a sense of nobility that was beyond words.
Third Young Master Jun felt a shock at his core. He knew the prominent identity of this old man—the leader of the Knights Templar.
The Knights Templar was an extremely secretive and ancient force in Europe, and many illustrious families had joined throughout history. The Templars had appeared much earlier than their new organization and the emerging powers in Europe and America.
Although the influence of this order had waned, overtaken by powerful and elite new organizations like the power group and "new," their influence in Europe was still beyond what those two could match, and was not to be taken lightly.
"Mr. Sufeman, it’s been a long time. The last time was when you visited our country, worried about the affairs of the United Nations Secretary-General. I did not expect that decades would pass, and the next time I’d see you, you would have this status," Bishop Victor greeted with folded hands.
Sufeman smiled, "The world changes so much, who could have predicted it? This is my future successor—Jun Huang."
When Third Young Master Jun heard Sufeman mention the word ’successor,’ his heart skipped a beat. He stepped forward unhurriedly, took the Bishop’s hand, and kissed his ring.
Bishop Victor scrutinized him, a flash of surprise in his eyes, "Youth change the world indeed."
Sufeman and Bishop Victor chatted for a while.
Bishop Victor suddenly smiled and said, "Actually, today I also want to introduce a friend for you to meet."
Then, clapping his hands, a man in his fifties walked in, slightly overweight but with a broad face, shrewd eyes, and a deep, world-wise maturity about him, exuding the full air of a businessman.
Following him was a stunning Eastern woman with long, seductive hair and captivating dark eyes.
Third Young Master Jun narrowed his eyes slightly. Even if he didn’t recognize the man, he had seen him on news reports. Ivanov, a magnate of natural gas from the Far East, was a very famous and wealthy businessman with considerable political clout in a certain major country, rumored to be a close personal friend of the president.
But Third Young Master Jun knew that this man was not just a simple businessman. He had a business that could not see the light of day, yet it was terrifyingly powerful—the underground arms trade.
If the Ji Family was the global leader in the arms trade, this man held the second spot, unquestioned, and before the Ji Family rose to prominence, his family had occupied the top position for decades, their influence profound and far-reaching!
Although the two did not know each other personally, they were aware of who the other was. They embraced upon meeting, like old brothers who hadn’t seen each other for decades, not strangers at all.
