My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!-Chapter 230: Terrifying Display of skill!
Chapter 230: Terrifying Display of <Charm> skill!
Grey silently looked at the fox. It was small, but it had the fiercest expression on its face:
"How will I be your master if I bow in front of you?"
"Well," the fox grew thoughtful for a moment and replied, "then you will be my slave."
"I refuse."
"Hmph! Puny mortal, this is not how you speak to me! If you weren’t this charming... I wouldn’t have even looked at you!" the fox said in a rather cute voice.
"Really?" Grey tilted his head, his pupils flashing with an unknown light.
"Really," the small fox replied, "so I want you to be with me, human."
"However, you’re just a bronze-level grimoire. Why should I accept you?" Grey asked, his brows knitting together.
"Don’t look at my tier, human! I have many different abilities that you might like," the fox replied, clearly provoked by Grey’s doubting voice.
"Show them to me."
Grey spoke calmly. Luckily, he had masked his thoughts with the help of his <Hive Mind>. Lilith could sense his thoughts only because he was thinking directly in his own mind; however, if the thoughts came from another clone’s mind, she simply couldn’t sense them.
It was a little hard to explain in words, but that was the gist of it.
"Very well, human. I will tell you about my abilities. I have a blue fire that is ten times stronger than ordinary fire. I also have an ability that can put people into a trance, along with shapeshifting and healing. I can even grant the user longevity, as long as you possess me over time."
"That’s it?" Grey asked, disappointment in his tone.
"That’s it!? What do you mean, that’s it!? I’m one of the strongest Bronze-tier Grimoires out there! If I were to evolve further down this path, I would become the strongest among all Grimoires!"
"Even stronger than Lilith?"
The moment the fox spirit heard Lilith, it trembled instinctively, its little tail rising in sheer fear and terror.
"What?" Grey asked, completely amused.
"Lilith, the Soul Goddess!?" The small fox was completely frightened, raising its little paws, whiskers standing on end.
"Yeah."
The moment Grey confirmed it, the fox jumped, lunging nearly ten feet into the air before gracefully landing and sitting back down. "She’s just a little stronger than me, that’s all," it coughed awkwardly in embarrassment.
"I see. So you’ll be stronger than her?"
"Yeah, definitely, definitely! That woman is nothing. I’m a much stronger woman than her," the fox declared proudly.
"Very well."
A blue panel appeared in front of Grey, and he accepted it.
A flash of blinding blue light lit up the space.
Then Grey opened his eyes, back in the real world once again.
His eyes linger on the smoll orange grimoire.
"Can’t you enter my body?"
"Eh, how would that be possible?" the fox grimoire said in his mind, unlike Lilith, she of course couldn’t talk, she was after all just a bronze grimoire.
Lilith suddenly spoke from the side:
"Did you tame that fox?"
The fox Grimoire mechanically turned towards Lilith and was immediately scared shitlessly as she screamed in Grey’s mind:
"What is this woman doing here? I thought you were kidding when you said something about Lilith."
"Too loud," Grey picked at his ears. "How would I even know about Lilith if I didn’t have her? Also, how do you know her so clearly?"
Before the fox Grimoire could reply, Lilith spoke again in a crueler voice:
"We met once before, and our encounter was... very interesting."
"...I see." Grey looked at Lilith with a deep gaze.
Since the fox Grimoire didn’t speak about it either, he decided not to press further.
Anyway, they continued on their path. freewebnσvel.cøm
After just a few steps, another grimoire appeared.
[Do you wish to tame a Silver Snake Grimoire?]
[Accept / Decline]
"[Accept]," he accepted without hesitation, there was no reason to hesitate.
Then his vision shifted, and after some talking, he tamed her as well.
At this point, Grey had already noticed the key similarity among the Grimoires: all of them were women!
Every Grimoire he had tamed so far was the same, and he could easily tame them.
If it were any other book tamer, they would have to face countless trials given by the Grimoire itself just to have a chance to speak with them, let alone tame one. Not to mention, this was the Mountain of Hell, a place where the fiercest of the fierce Grimoires resided.
The most difficult to tame.
But both of his Grimoires, the snake Grimoire and the fox Grimoire, seemed more interested in pleasing him instead.
The terrifying effect of the <Charm> skill.
A skill that worked subconsciously.
The more it activated, the more Grey understood the terrifying power behind such a simple ability.
As he trudged through the Mountain of Hell, he was greeted by more and more Grimoires, most of whom were tamed with just a few simple words.
And before he realized it, he was already halfway through the mountains, with his spiritual energy nearly exhausted.
Breathing in ragged gasps, Grey closed his eyes to collect his thoughts and begin restoring the spiritual energy within his body.
Taming Grimoires also consumed a fair amount of spiritual energy. While it wasn’t a huge drain each time, he had already tamed seven Grimoires. Counting Lilith, that brought his total to eight.
If the soldier and the general outside knew that Grey had tamed all these fierce Grimoires simply by talking to them, they would likely vomit blood and die of envy and disbelief.
"Could you guys stop talking in my head?" Grey shouted.
The seven Grimoires constantly bickering in his heart immediately shut up in unison.
Grey’s seven Grimoires were:
Bronze Fox Grimoire
Silver Snake Grimoire
Bronze Fire Spirit Grimoire
Silver Acid Grimoire
Bronze Metal Grimoire
Gold Void Grimoire
The most powerful among them were the Fox, Void, and Acid, while the Snake was the most versatile among them but his annoyance was that in group, they have already started to argue in his head.
