My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!-Chapter 360: Enlightment Pond!?
"You wouldn't regret it?" Drayken chuckled, staring at her straight in the eyes.
"Yes, I will never regret such a thing." Synthia spoke with a nod of her head, proudly. There was no hesitation nor fear, only complete and utter calmness in her gaze.
"Good, very well, then." He returned back to his room and slumped to the bed with a tired yawn.
"Eh, what are you doing?" She was completely stunned.
"I am sleeping." Drayken replied with a roll of his eyes.
"Don't you have to fight father?"
"But I don't wanna." He flipped to his right like a child throwing a tantrum, "I still wanna sleep."
"..." Synthia looked at the antiques of Drayken with a twitch of her brows, "Are you becoming spoiled?"
She walked step by step, approached him and pulled his ears with her brows knitted.
"Oww, oww." Drayken screamed in pain, crying out loudly, "It hurts."
"Hmph," Synthia didn't buy it though, "You are so big and strong, you think it will hurt you?"
"No, but it really hurts." He spoke with widened, bloodshot eyes while his scream grew louder.
Seeing the miserable state of Drayken, Synthia felt a little doubt creeping into her mind, 'Is he really that hurt?' She thought and quickly let go, couching towards him, looking at his ears for any injuries, "Does it hurt anywhere?" she spoke in panic.
"Yes, it hurts..." Drayken caught her finger and forced it on his chest, "Here."
"You…" Synthia sheathed in anger, he had completely bamboozled her, with a fierce hmph, she backed away from him and crossed her arms.
"I won't talk to you anymore."
"Hahaha." Drayken chuckled lightly and flipped from the bed, "Let's go, my beautiful wife, I won't beat him too badly."
"My father is a strong Rank 8 dragon, what gives you the confidence that you can even beat him?" She spoke sharply.
"My muscles." Dryaken flexed his perfect muscles as if it was sculpted by god.
"A rank 8 dragon strength is very strong, you are vastly underestimating him." She warned.
"I will try." He shrugged off with a casual expression.
"You really think it is easy to fight him?" Synthia sighed, "You know it wouldn't be like how you fought Eleanor and the other Rank 7, my father is not only a Rank Eight dragon but also an Eight-circle Mage, his spells alone are terrifying, not to mention he also knows Arts."
"Still, I wanna fight."
"... With how unprepared you are, I doubt that you can even succeed." She spoke with her brows knitted.
"My sheer aura would be enough." Drayken shrugged off, while stretching his body, making sure every fiber of his being is active.
"No, that would be incredibly stupid," Synthia warned and directly walked up to him, under Drayken's absolutely flabbergasted gaze, grabbed him by the collars, "I am warning you my father's power is well beyond your imagination especially if he used Arts."
"Yeah, I know but I also know my strength very well." Drayken raised his shoulder casually.
"Are you really sure?" She asked again, tentatively, "The power of Arts is much stronger and my father has a strong mastery with it."
"Yeah, I am sure." Drayken nodded his head in a casual demeanour.
"..." She sighed in her heart, "If you believe so."
"Anyway, I am ready to go now."
"Wait, I will show you the true power of Arts first."
"Alright." Drayken accepted, "I have already seen it though, you can use any attributes you want, unlike our spells that can only be tied to a single one." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"That's right." Synthia closed her eyes and extended her right arms forward, the mana in the surrounding grew turbulent and a ball of fire squarely struck the table in front of her, burning it.
Then she extended her left arms and a gale blew in the place, the temperature rapidly dropped, the charred, burning table froze on the spot.
Drayken narrowed his eyes, sensing the Mana, 'There is something wrong here.'
He could feel it, although it seemed to have the same principle as a spell which made the mana turbulent, it seemed to be different.
'I didn't notice it when I faced off against her before because my mana senses weren't so keen but now that I see it, something is completely off here. How is this even possible?'
Synthia heaved a sigh of relief and opened her eyes, turning to Drayken with a sparkle in her eyes, "See this is the power of Arts."
"I see," Drayken replied shortly, "You don't forcefully twist the mana with your spell, instead you do… something else." Even he couldn't quite tell what she was doing though.
"Woah, I never thought it like that, you are right." She nodded with an enlightened expression.
"How do you practise this thing called "Arts" then?"
"It's quite simple actually, you need to enter the Enlightment Pond." She explained, "Then everything comes completely naturally."
"You have piqued my curiosity now." Drayken was intrigued when he heard this, after he marries her then he would enter this pond right? That was what he was promised by the Dragon King after all.
"Unfortunately, that place is drying up, if a few more dragons soak on it, then it will completely be gone," Synthia's mood went downhill, "Initially all the dragons could enjoy the blessing but now we have to limit it to only who is going to inherit the throne." At the end of her sentence, she was already filled with tears in her eyes.
"It's unfortunate." Drayken consoled her with a tight hug.
Being in the embrace of his, Synthia felt warm in her heart and hummed in comfort with closed eyes.
It felt like time passed in the blink of an eye but almost half an hour had already passed with just them hugging each other, when a knock was heard from the door. There was a person in silver armour, at the door.
The two quickly separated, Synthia felt like diving into the ocean never showing her face again.
"Conrad, what are you doing here?" Drayken frowned.
"Umm, everyone is only waiting for you." Conrad said awkwardly, forcing a smile.
