I pulled away from him first, my chest rising and falling rapidly, my lips still buzzing from how Adrien kissed me like he’d been waiting forever for this moment. My gaze flicked toward the glass doors leading to the hotel corridor, half-expecting to see a security guard’s flashlight piercing the dark or...worse, one of the staff with a polite cough and a raised eyebrow...or probably a look of horror once they realized what us step-brothers were doing.

"A–are we... really sure we won’t get caught?" I whispered, my voice trembling somewhere between nervous laughter and genuine fear.

Adrien didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he rested his forehead against my shoulder, inhaling deeply like the scent of chlorine and my skin was the only thing keeping him grounded. His arms tightened around my waist, pulling our wet bodies together in the water, every bit of contact feeling calculated and almost desperate.

I could feel his heart racing against my ribs, could sense the slight tremor running through him that had nothing to do with the chilly water.

The flashes of that earlier dream returned in my mind, harsh voices, accusing looks, and Ethan walking away, and that fear tightened my grip for a moment before I forced myself to relax.

He lifted his head just enough to place a soft, lingering kiss on the hollow of my throat.

"No one’s coming," he murmured against my damp skin. "This wing is for VIPs only, governors, presidents, vice presidents, the kind of people who spend more on privacy than what some countries spend on defense. It’s pretty much a ghost town until one of them decides to show up. We’ve got the place to ourselves for months."

I exhaled shakily, trying to absorb that thought. "Still feels like we’re tempting fate."

Adrien chuckled softly and started to float backward in the water, coaxing me with him until my back hit the smooth mosaic wall. Then he enclosed me there, his beautiful arms framing my head, forearms resting on the tile, his body so close that every breath we took brushed against each other’s lips.

"You have every right to be scared," he conceded, his voice dropping to that velvety tone that always made my knees weak. He continued before I could argue that I wasn’t scared knowing fully well I was terrified as hell.

"But you also have me." He smiled. "And I’m really good at distracting you."

Before I could even think of protesting, Adrien leaned down and gently bit the slope of my shoulder, not hard enough to leave a mark, just enough pressure to make me yelp and then deadpan, "Seriously?"

He looked up, eyes sparkling with mischief. "You were overthinking things."

I opened my mouth to argue, but I lost my words when Adrien lowered his voice to a sultry whisper right near my ear.

"You’re so tense, prince," he breathed, one hand gliding up my chest under the water until his thumb found my nipple, drawing slow, maddening circles. "Let me help you relax."

I gulped, my head tilting back against the tile as his mouth began its slow, deliberate exploration of my neck. The kisses started soft, just feather-light brushes along my throat...then turned open-mouthed, gently sucking on the sensitive skin just below my jaw, then lower, tracing my collarbone with his teeth and tongue.

Shit, it felt so good.

Each pull of his lips sent sparks racing down my spine, drawing soft moans from me that echoed off the tiled walls.

Adrien hummed against my pulse point, that vibration sending shivers straight through me.

"I’ve been thinking this fucking crazy thought," he murmured between kisses, his voice low and reverent. "Running away with you. Just... disappearing to an island that no one knows about, or a cabin in the mountains, or even a rundown apartment in the middle of nowhere. Somewhere no one could find us. No parents, no gala, no secrets. Just you and me. Alone. No more hiding. No more worrying about getting caught."

I moaned at the words, that image blooming in my mind, moonlight on the water, Adrien’s laughter without shadows, waking up tangled together with nowhere to rush off to. It was so tempting it hurt.

Adrien’s mouth found the spot just under my ear that always made me shiver.

"Don’t you want that, Noah? Sometimes you run away from me. Other times, you’re right here, letting me touch you like this. So tell me..." His voice dropped even lower, lips brushing against my ear. "Do you really want me?"

I swallowed hard, my cheeks flushed, but I met his gaze.

"Yes," I managed, the word barely a whisper. "I want you."

But a flash of blue eyes invaded the back of my eyes as I stared at Adrien.

Adrien pulled back slightly to look me in the eye, his green eyes darkened, pupils wide with desire. He pressed his thumb harder against my nipple, drawing another broken sound from my throat.

"Say it again," he whispered, his voice rough.

I took a breath, cheeks burning, but I held his gaze. "I...I want you."

A slow, wicked smirk spread across his face, triumphant. He kissed me again...deeply, claiming my mouth, our tongues dancing together in a rhythm that matched the pulsing heat building between us.

Under the water, Adrien’s hand drifted lower, fingers grazing the front of my shorts, finding me already hard and straining against the fabric.

I gasped into the kiss, my hips jerking forward without meaning to.

Adrien chuckled against my lips, low and dark. "Already eager for me again? Needy little Hamster."

I shot him a glare, cheeks still flushed, but I wrapped both arms around his neck, pushing our bodies tightly together.

"So what if I am?" I challenged, my voice shaking but defiant. "What are you going to do about it?"

Adrien’s eyes lit up. For a moment, he looked genuinely surprised, as if he hadn’t anticipated me pushing back. Then that surprise melted into something darker, hungrier.

He leaned in close until our lips were barely brushing.

"Turn around."

He spun me around before I even had a chance to say anything, pushing my chest against the cool tiles at the edge of the pool while his body pressed in behind me. The water lapped at our waists, teasing the hem of my swim shorts, and then, oh man...he ground forward, letting me feel the solid pressure of him right against me.
