My System Increases My power Every Day Without Missions and Levelling-Chapter 273: Seven Years
Richard sank into the water, as the entire area was filled with boundless liquid.
It felt... very strange.
He didn’t feel like he was underwater at all.
When he breathed, there was actually air.
Splash!
A small figure made of water emerged, with a pair of bright eyes and a tiny mouth.
Small ripples formed from its mouth, as if it were a fish breathing.
"A brat from the Celestial Clan, hmph, hmph," the figure said, snorting softly with the voice of an annoyed young girl.
Richard was stunned to hear that.
"I’m human," he said.
"A human with Celestial blood, hmph, same thing. But don’t worry—since you’ve come, I will fulfill your request. Tell me what you want to enhance and what you want to sacrifice. Say it all at once."
"Do you know all my elemental affinities, Codexes, and Arcane Arts?" Richard asked.
"Of course. Here, nothing about you is hidden from me."
"I see..." Richard nodded, though he was certain the small creature hadn’t detected his System—or it would have asked.
"I only want to keep lightning, fire, wave, and void elements," Richard said.
"As for Codexes, I only want the Codex of Dragon Emperor and the Codex of Celestial Being."
"And for Arcane Arts, I only want Mind Attack and Dragon Fist."
"Alright, then the rest will be burned. Actually, you could also burn other things like your soul or external powers. For example, Heavenly Water—that would give you a massive boost," the creature replied.
"No, don’t..." Richard refused.
"By the way, will my Grimoire change when some things are burned?"
"Not at all. Burning doesn’t mean losing them—they’re converted into essence and absorbed into your power. This is something magical beyond your understanding."
Buzz!
Suddenly, the water around Richard began to swirl, brushing against his skin and entering through his pores.
He could feel it inside his body, carrying out a mysterious, unimaginable process.
Some things within him were destroyed—and as a result, he gained profound enlightenment over what remained.
The experience was impossible to imagine and not something he could ever achieve on his own.
"This will take almost a day," the creature said again.
Richard couldn’t respond—he no longer had control over his body. Only his mind remained conscious, and his eyes could still see.
Even so, he felt a drastic increase in strength, even without any rise in Aether.
He underwent transformation after transformation, evolving into a higher being.
And when it was finally over, he was left in awe.

"Now you can become a dragon."
Richard already knew that, yet he couldn’t help but feel strange.
"Only a false dragon. To become a true dragon, you must possess World Magic Aether."
"What’s the difference?" Richard frowned.
He could already sense what it felt like—it was truly a dragon of flesh and blood.
Even the Dragon Knight had not achieved this, even after becoming a Grand Sovereign.
Still, he had been powerful enough to crush his enemies.
"A True Dragon is born with World Magic Aether itself. Its majesty is beyond your imagination. You can only be considered a human in dragon form."
Richard had no intention of arguing with the creature. He simply nodded.
"Can you tell me where the Sea River comes from and who sent it into this world?" he asked, changing the topic.
"That is not important to you. Now, it’s time for you to leave—unless you want more time to pass in the outside world."
"What do you mean?"
"One day here equals seven years outside, because time in your world flows too quickly."
Richard: "..."
He was stunned, wondering if he had made the right decision.
But he chose not to regret it—knowing he could never achieve this through the System alone.
In fact, something like the Sea River was extremely valuable—it could refine what the System had accumulated.
Richard wondered if it was possible for him to control it.
But that likely wasn’t easy—or the Demon Flame Grand Sovereign would have already done so.
DING!
(The energy of your Heavenly Water has increased from 0% to 0.015%!)
Heavenly Water (0.015% Energy)
Suddenly, a notification appeared from the System.
This increase was unexpected—it had never happened before.
0.015%.
Richard did not underestimate that number—last time, even 0.01% had significantly boosted his strength.
Splash!
Richard emerged into extremely cold water, its surface sealed by ice like glass.
He struck it, shattering it, and climbed out—only to find himself in a frozen river, with massive cities on both sides built upon icy land.
Richard wondered where he had appeared.
Ancient Ice Region? It shouldn’t be—barbarian tribes lived there, not grand cities like these.
Moreover, the inhabitants didn’t look like barbarians.
They were captivating, with light blue hair and pale, slightly flushed skin.
’Perhaps the Central Region.’
Richard came to that conclusion.
In the Central Region, there was a snowy land even larger than the combined Holy Star Kingdom and Holy Light Kingdom.
This region was inhabited by ice mages, led by the Sacred Snow Clan.
It was older than the Holy Star Kingdom. Although it had only ever produced one Grand Sovereign, its power far surpassed the Sacred Snow Clan.
A Grand Ancestor supported them.
Richard knew that this figure was at the Third Stage of the Ancient Sovereign—the Ice Ancestor.
"Has it really been seven years since I entered the Sea River?" Richard wasn’t sure.
It didn’t feel like anything had changed.
Of course, if seven years had truly passed, many things must have happened.
Richard felt a headache thinking about it.
"My realm hasn’t increased at all." That made his headache worse.
Becoming stronger was one thing—but reaching Peak Ruler was the minimum requirement to compete for the World Magic Aether.
Richard wouldn’t even be able to participate if he didn’t reach that level, no matter how strong he became.
Unfortunately... he wasn’t even a Ruler yet.
