My Tribrid System: More than a Monster-Chapter 147: Need my Help?
Chapter 145
While everyone else was essentially facing two opponents each, Ray found himself confronted by three.
He displayed no symptoms of trepidation, merely glaring at the trio as they closed the distance.
His claws continued to glow with an ominous luminescence.
Deep within the recesses of his mind, Bruce stood alert, eager to witness how Ray would manage this encounter or if he would solicit assistance as per his usual habit.
Meanwhile, Elyon possessed little interest in such brutality; consequently, he simply drifted into a trance.
He was likely attempting to recover his sequestered memories, persisting despite the sharp agony the effort induced.
As the adversaries approached, a translucent screen materialized before Ray’s vision, floating like a pale phantom.

Before he could contemplate the objective he had just received, a voice from the advancing guards interrupted his thoughts.
"Kid... we really don’t want to hurt you. Just sta—"
Without granting the man a chance to land his words, five claw-like arcs of dark energy streaked toward them with lethal velocity.
Observing the incoming projectile, they scrambled aside, permitting the claw strikes to collide with the floor and tear several inches into the solid surface.
"No use for useless dialogue. Let’s do what the leader coma—"
Ray was still refusing to let the men finish their sentences as two consecutive bolts of lightning were hurled in their direction.
They were nearly caught unaware.
Nevertheless, with rapid dexterity and focus, they managed to evade the electrical strikes, which impacted the ground and scorched the pristine marble flooring.
Seeing that the youth was disregarding their speech, they all lunged toward him, traversing the gap in mere seconds.
One of the guards’ fists whipped through the atmosphere, vibrating the air and parting it away from his knuckles.
Crossing his forearms in front of his torso, Ray intended to absorb the momentum of the punch.
But the moment the fist connected with his limbs, his eyes dilated in pain.
His entire frame was propelled across the room, colliding with a table that splintered instantly under his weight.
[-2 HP]
’Fuck... Super strength! Got it.’
That strike would have been sufficient to deplete half his health in a standard scenario, but due to his high endurance and the fact that he had dampened the impact, it only removed a few points.
Before he could scramble upward, heavy footsteps were heard approaching his position loudly.
A sudden shift in the air.
’A kick...’
Lightning surged around his legs and arms as he proceeded to leap away with astonishing velocity.
BOOOM—!
The descending kick from the guard smashed into the spot where he had occupied a moment prior; the result was a caved-in floor.
Springing back to his feet, claw strikes shot toward the man.
The offensive maneuvers were avoided, resulting in the energy being buried into the wall behind the attacker.
’Thirty points of meta-force left... what to do?’
His eyes were scanning the men in front of him from head to toe when something caught his gaze.
One of the men... his knuckles were bloodied?
Immediately, Ray’s eyes narrowed as he shifted his gaze toward Van, who watched the situation unfold with a grim, apprehensive expression etched across his face.
Seeing that his attention had wavered, two of the guards charged toward him simultaneously.
In a matter of seconds, they were upon Ray, launching powerful punches infused with deadly force.
Without even glancing at his new pursuers, lightning crackled around Ray’s feet, propelling him into a lunge toward the specific man with the bloodied fist.
Bang—!
The twin punches shattered against the empty air, missing their targets completely as Ray vanished from their trajectory.
The man with the crimson knuckles frowned upon seeing the boy reach his position, opting to let his fist do the talking.
With uncanny agility, Ray ducked under the whistling punch and cocked his hand backward.
His right fist was drawn back like a coiled spring, his left arm cutting through the air to maintain perfect balance.
Then, channeling all fifty points of his strength stat, he slammed his fist into the man’s abdomen with the devastating force of a siege ram.
The meta-human’s eyes dilated in agony at the monstrous power displayed by the youth before him.
However, instead of being flung backward as Ray had anticipated, the man tightened his jaw and brought both hands down toward the boy’s head like a hammer falling from the heavens.
’That didn’t move him? Guess those anime lied to me... fuck, a punch....’
Twisting his body around forcefully, Ray avoided the strike by the narrowest of margins.
The meta-human’s knuckles crashed into the floor, shattering the marble tiling into a thousand shards.
This brief struggle allowed the remaining two guards time to rejoin the fray, their faces twisted with an eagerness to punish the small boy standing his ground against them.
"Don’t you still need my help?" Bruce’s voice echoed within Ray’s mind.
"I don’t...."
A kick snapped toward his cranium at a terrifying speed.
Sparks flickered before Ray, coalescing into a circular shield of bright, crackling cadence.
The kick collided with the barrier, causing a low boom to resonate across the entire room while the ground shuddered from the sheer impact.
[-1 point of energy]
"... Need your help."
Dispelling the shield in an instant, Ray lunged forward.
His claws, each as long as a pair of daggers, sliced through the meta-human’s outstretched leg, sending a crimson spray flying through the air.
The man staggered backward, a stunned, disbelieving look freezing on his face.
The man with the bloodied knuckles was now upon Ray once more, launching a direct, brutal punch aimed straight for the boy’s face.
Instead of retreating or dodging, the boy dug his heels into the floor, intentionally allowing the strike to hit him squarely.
The ground beneath them ruptured instantly, sending clouds of debris billowing into the air.
Crimson droplets burst forth as a sudden, piercing headache gripped Ray, causing his vision to momentarily blur.
[-10 HP]
"Yo-You were the one who dealt the final punch to Van, right?" Ray asked.
The man’s fist was still pressed against his face, and Ray’s teeth were ground tightly together in a snarl.
The guard was visibly taken aback by the sheer craziness radiating from the boy.
"Figured."
Before the realization of the danger could dawn on the attacker, lightning sizzled around Ray’s feet.
With a sudden thunder step, his claws gleamed through the air.
He sliced through the man’s neck just as a claw strike of raw energy burst outward, tearing the flesh further and sending the head spinning through the air.
Blood oozed from the man’s neck like a macabre fountain.
A sudden, heavy silence descended upon the immediate area as the body collapsed.
