My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 46: Summoner Against Summon
Then, he called them forth.
A purple magic circle formed on the ground, and one by one, they materialized before him.
Nina appeared first, dropping to one knee in a formal bow. "My liege."
Finn pulled off his hat and bowed with a cheerful grin.
Albedo appeared last, crossing her arms with that usual sly smile. "Hi, summoner."
Ethan nodded at them. He looked at Finn first and said, "Nah, I don’t think your arsenal fits for this."
With a thought, he undid the summon causing to Finn disappear in a burst of purple light.
Albedo tilted her head with a playful expression. "Aww, you took the kid away. Probably for the best, though." She paused, then added, "Now which one of us are you doing first? Me or the redhead?"
She leaned forward to Ethan, placing one side of her palm by the side of her mouth to cover it from Nina’s view. Then whispered just loud enough for him to hear, "Spirit or not, I think she’s still a virgin."
Ethan slapped his hand over his face and shook his head.
Nina facial expressions was that of confusion, "I am unsure what is happening."
Albedo turned toward her with a bright smile and waved her hand dismissively. "Don’t you worry, girl."
Nina smiled back politely and nodded.
The moment Nina looked away, Albedo turned back toward Ethan and silently mouthed the word again with exaggerated emphasis, pointing at Nina and making a mocking expression.
Ethan sighed and shook his head in amusement. "Albedo, do you ever turn it off?"
She chuckled. "Not if I can help it."
Ethan ignored the comment and got to the point. "I called you both here because I want to test my strength against yours."
Both summons looked at him in shock.
But Ethan continued. "I intend to spar with you."
Wasting no time, he adjusted his stance and took on his demon-dragon form.
His eyes shifted into glowing amber slits. Dark horns sprouted from his forehead, curving back along his skull. His teeth sharpened into fangs, and a faint aura of reddish-purple miasma began to seep from his body.
Both summons looked even more surprised now.
Ethan then said, "I’ll be taking on Albedo first."
Albedo chuckled. "You really are serious."
Nina then stepped forward to express a concern. "My liege, I am more than happy to raise my sword against your enemies and their retinue, but I will not raise my sword against you."
Albedo leaned toward Ethan again and whispered playfully, mouthing the word, "See? Virgin."
Ethan ignored her and turned back to Nina. "We’ll circle back to you later. After all, I never planned to spar you and Albedo at the same time."
He shifted his attention to Albedo, who had already pulled out the twin short blades.
Ethan then asked, "Are those stronger than your main weapon? The pen knife?"
She grinned. "Pen knife."
Ethan nodded. "Then have it out and come at me."
Albedo shrugged then put the blades away; and as they disappeared into molts of purple light, her pen knife reappeared in her left hand.
She twirled it between her fingers, then pointed it at him with a wicked grin. "Ready when you are, summoner."
"Ragnarok" Ethan whispered and at once it materialized in his arm, emitting the same white miasma.
"Oh? You finally got it to work" Albedo said as Ethan tightened his grip on Ragnarok and nodded.
Right then, the battle began as Albedo vanished in a burst of smoke and reappeared directly to Ethan’s left, aiming to drive her pen knife toward his ribs.
With Battle Sense Skill active, Ethan’s body moved before his mind caught up as it tilted to the right side to avoid the range of the pen knife.
In the same motion, he quickly repositioned himself into the right stance to swing the sword horizontally at her head.
But Albedo let her legs spread into the split as her body drop to the ground, avoiding the blade’s arc in tandem. Using the momentum of her decent, she spun her body and swept her right leg toward his ankles.
Ethan leaped back, narrowly avoiding the sweep, while Albedo lifted her body back into standing on both foot.
The demon blurred forward again, closing the distance in an instant. The moment she appeared before him, a white blade was already sweeping down in a right diagonal slash.
She leaned left, angling her body with precise control as the sword carved past her.
Before the first swing had completed its arc, Ethan reversed his grip and sent Ragnarok into a second diagonal strike. Albedo shifted right almost immediately, narrowly avoiding the follow-up slash that came from her left.
Without hesitation, Ethan flowed into a horizontal cut aimed at her neck.
But Albedo ducked smoothly beneath it, and in the same motion, she thrust her pen knife forward, driving it toward his exposed torso.
They were too close for a clean dodge, and she was moving faster than he could fully track.
But Ethan’s left arm shot downwards, clamping around her wrist just as the blade struck.
The tip of the knife bit into his abdomen, drawing a shallow line before his grip halted its momentum.
Albedo lifted her grinning face at him before disappearing into a burst and smoke and reappearing a few metres away.
Raising the pen knife, she slowly licked the blood from its edge. With a dangerous smirk, she said, "Not bad, Summoner."
Ethan did not flinch, despite the sting of the wound.
His regeneration had sealed the cut almost immediately. Then he extended his right arm, pointing Ragnarok directly at the wicked assassin.
Albedo tilted her head from side to side, as if loosening the tension in her neck, until a sharp crack sound followed.
Then she blurred forward again, making an attempt to slash towards his rib with her knife.
But Ethan had already retracted his arm, bringing Ragnarok across his body in a horizontal block, which deflected her blade.
The force of the deflection pushed her back slightly, and for the first time in the exchange, Ethan saw an opening.
He quickly lunged forward, driving Ragnarok toward her chest in a straight thrust.
But Albedo vanished in a burst of smoke.
Ethan’s eyes widened at her fast reaction to his attempted attack which just passed through empty air.
She reappeared behind him, with her knife already mid-swing toward his back.
Ethan spun, bringing Ragnarok around in a wild horizontal slash as the edge of his blade caught hers just in time, deflecting the strike away.
This forced Albedo to leap backward. A moment later, she began walking toward him again, casually twirling the knife between her fingers.
"You’re slow," she said in a playful but honest tone. "You move like someone who knows the basics of sword fighting, but not someone who’s actually skilled at it."
She tilted her head, studying him. "If I was really serious, you probably would’ve taken a few more cuts by now."
