My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 61: A Thief’s End
Victor stared at the door for a second. He was sure he had just heard something outside.
Juan’s voice then called back his attention. "Are you ready to sign the papers, Mr. Stark?"
Victor withdrew his attention from the door, looked at Juan, then at the buyers, and nodded with a smile.
He picked up the pen close to him, glanced down at the papers spread across the table, and signed off on them. His signature was the last one they needed.
The foreign men then slid their boxes across the table toward Victor, who was smiling broadly alongside Juan.
But right then, the door opened.
Ethan stepped in first, with a smile on his face. And Eduardo followed in, shutting the door behind them.
Victor’s eyes went wide. His mouth fell open slightly, and he froze in place like he had just seen a ghost.
Juan stood abruptly. His face went pale, and his hands trembled as he stared at Ethan in utter disbelief.
"Ah, Eduardo," Ethan said casually, glancing around the room. "I think we came late for the meeting."
"It seems that is the case, Master Ethan," Eduardo replied with a calm smile.
Victor finally found his voice, though it came out shaky. "I thought you were—"
"Dead?" Ethan completed. "Ah, I’ll be feeding your hitman so much of my piss if I ever get him."
He turned his attention toward the papers on the table. "Oh, what do we have here?"
He walked over and was about to extend his hand to pick them up when one of the foreigners quickly retracted the document and turned to Victor.
"I’m sorry, but who is this, Mr. Stark?" the man asked, very much confused.
"Oh?" Ethan mused, then chuckled. "I see. That’s how you convinced these ignorant fools. You took my name."
The foreigner turned back toward Ethan, looking even more confused. "What’s going on?"
He glanced at Victor one more time, then back at Ethan. "Who is Mr. Stark?"
Ethan’s expression shifted instantly, and the tone of his voice dropped into a deep, furious tone. "You won’t be living long to find out if you don’t get your hands off that paper."
As he spoke, his eyes transitioned into glowing amber slits. His teeth sharpened into visible fangs, and a faint reddish aura began to seep from his body.
The foreigner frantically let go of the document, with shaky hands. His partner looked just as terrified, shrinking back in his seat.
Victor remained mute, realizing he was utterly fucked. He wondered how he would even calculate a way out of this.
Meanwhile, Juan had been slowly edging closer and closer toward the exit door, and both Ethan and Eduardo pretended like they didn’t notice.
Ethan picked up the paper in his right hand. The title printed at the top read: "Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Stark Industries."
He scanned it briefly, then looked up with a fake expression of sadness on his face. "I’m hurt, Victor. You were going to sell Stark Industries for only fifteen million? No wonder these idiots rushed at it. They even came with two million in cash."
Right then, Juan had reached the door. He grabbed the handle hurriedly and yanked it open, trying to rush out.
The door swung wide, but just as he made his attempt to leave, his body slammed violently into an invisible wall. The impact was brutal.
His head snapped back, his eyes rolled, and he crumpled to the ground in a heap as blood began trickling from his nose.
Victor’s eyes widened in utter shock.
"Valerie," Ethan said calmly, without even turning away from the paper he was reading. "Would you be a dear and shut the door for me, please?"
"Yes, Master Ethan," Valerie replied from just outside the doorway. She extended her hand forward and pulled the door back into a close.
Juan groaned weakly on the floor, trying to push himself up.
But right then, Ethan still without turning from the paper, extended his left hand lazily toward the ground where Juan was struggling to rise.
A purple magic circle materialized beneath his palm.
And from it, violet lightning bolts erupted, crackling wildly as they struck Juan’s body with merciless fury.
His back arched violently. His eyes rolled into the back of his head, showing only white. His mouth opened in a silent scream, and white foam began bubbling from his lips. The lightning tore across his skin, leaving charred streaks and split flesh in its wake.
Then his body went limp and slammed back to the ground. Right now, it was unclear if he was completely dead or just comatose from taking the lightning attack straight to the body.
This struck even more fear into the foreigners. One of them began to beg desperately, his voice cracking. "Please! We were only sent by the boss to complete this deal! We had no idea about all of this!"
Victor remained silent, but his eyes were locked on Eduardo, who was staring right back at him with a calm, knowing smile on his face.
He knew that even if he wanted to attempt an escape, that old man would never let it happen.
Ethan turned toward the foreigner and said, "Your boss must either be dumb and ignorant, or just as fraudulent as Victor there. But I won’t stand here and debate that. Get out. Now!"
The men hurriedly stood, stumbling over themselves, while one of them grabbed hold of the boxes they had come with.
They rushed toward the door and opened it, but then suddenly stopped, remembering what had just happened to Juan.
They stared at the doorway with wide, terrified eyes, unsure if they’d make it through.
Ethan turned to Valerie and nodded.
She extended both her hands forward and said gently, "Take my hands."
They each grabbed one of her hands, still staring frantically at the edges of the doorway as they walked through together, terrified they’d slam into the invisible barrier.
But they passed through safely.
Valerie released their hands, stepped closer and pulled the door shut again. As of this point, both foreigners were already half away across the corridor, running for their lives.
Now it was just Victor, Ethan, and Eduardo in the room.
-
"I’m only going to ask you two things," Ethan began. Is Truman still alive, and can you provide details on the whereabouts of your hitman?"
He was currently standing at the side of the table, staring at Victor, who at this point had stood by the head of it. Eduardo watched silently from the other edge.
Victor stared back at him for a moment, then asked, "Will the answers to those questions change anything that is to happen here today?"
"Oh no, man," Ethan replied with a slight smile. "See this as one last opportunity to be of good service."
"In that case—" Victor began, then suddenly thrust his right hand forward in a desperate bid to cast a spell at Ethan.
But in that moment, Ethan’s draconic eyes widened. His dragon senses had alerted him to the incoming danger, and he blitzed toward Victor in that split second.
He caught Victor by the wrist with his left hand and redirected Victor’s arm upward so that the magic spell blasted off course toward the ceiling instead, leaving a scorch mark to the surface.
In the same fluid motion of redirection, Ethan swung his right fist into Victor’s gut with devastating force. Victor’s torso folded inward and he gushed out saliva and bile, his breath completely knocked out of him.
Ethan then grabbed him by the face with his clawed palm and slammed his head into the wall.
Victor’s body dragged down against the wall as he crumpled to the ground, leaving a long smear of blood trailing from where his skull had made contact. His body lay limp, twitching slightly.
The furious Ethan then roared out toward Victor, and the inhuman sound shook the very atmosphere of the room.
"Stupid," Ethan muttered, then spat on Victor’s collapsed form before readjusting his coat and turning to walk away.
Prior to this day, Eduardo had already briefed Ethan that Victor was a caster with D-level talent. Which was exactly why Ethan had lunged forward without hesitation, knowing he could easily take Victor out in close combat.
Eduardo smiled as he watched the young master handle business with such decisiveness.
Ethan, who had now walked back toward the door, stared down at Juan’s body with visible irritation. Then he turned to Eduardo and said, "You’ll take care of the rest, won’t you?"
"Of course, Master Ethan," Eduardo replied calmly.
Ethan nodded, then opened the door. Valerie extended her palm to take his hand and guide him through the sealing barrier.
Once he was through, Valerie glanced back inside and asked, "What about you, Mr. Eduardo? Or shall I let the seal down?"
She was unsure if it still needed to stay up or not.
Eduardo, who had been steadily walking toward Victor’s crumpled body, stopped for a moment and glanced back at Valerie. "It doesn’t matter. I’ll walk through when I want to."
He returned his smiling face back toward Victor’s direction and continued forward.
Valerie turned toward Ethan with a puzzled expression, silently asking for further direction.
Ethan shrugged slightly and said, "You heard the man."
Then he tilted his head and added, "I’ll be leaving now."
Valerie nodded respectfully at the young master as he turned away to leave. She looked back into the room one last time, toward Eduardo, who had now crouched near Victor’s barely conscious form.
She narrowed her eyes for a second, then pulled the door shut with a quiet click.

As Ethan walked out of the company, there was a satisfied expression on his face. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his Arcphone.
He finally replied to a few texts from Isabella that had been sent to him earlier that morning.
The texts read:
"Just got to class babe, no devices allowed."
"And good luck. I know you guys will catch the bad guy today ❤️"
Ethan smiled and typed back: "Yeah, we finally did."
The moment hit send, several reward notification screens from the system popped up, which only made him smile more.
